Top Ten Best Albums of 1987

The Top Ten
1 Michael Jackson - Bad Michael Jackson - Bad Product Image

As usual, I've been scanning this top ten list and I find myself having a hard time finding a list with Michael Jackson not on number 1. unless it is a list that's not related to him or is negative... Indeed no one can surpass the MAN, Michael... Bad album got 5 songs which reached number one on the billboard hot 100.. first is "I just can't stop loving you", next "bad", followed by "the way you make me feel", then "Man in the mirror" and lastly "dirty diana" which is the first in history and was inducted on the guinness world of records... actually BAD album is not just the best for the year 1987 but also considered one of the greatest albums of all time... all hail to the KING OF MUSIC...

Personally my favourite album ever

Wonderful album with songs like Sooth Criminal, Bad, Leave Me Alone..

2 Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction Product Image

Without this album, other material of hair metal may not be taken seriously. According to this album, Sunset Strip was hell although it has talented acts coming together all over the States. The poverty, the STD pandemic, the duels to become the best band of the Strip are the sagas that complete the album. Let's not forget Slash's memorable solos which arouse every listener's sense.

Awesome album.
It has change the world of hard rock.
Today "Welcome To The Jungle" "Paradise City" and
"Sweet Child O'Mine" are very respectable songs.
"Nightrain", "Think About You" and "Rocket Queen"
Are great too in my opinion.
Guitar solo from "Sweet Child O'Mine" is still one of
The greatest solos in rock history.

My top 5 albums of 1987:
5. Aerosmith - Permanent Vacation
4. Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse of Reason
3. Anthrax - Among the Living
2. R.E.M. - Document
1. Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction

This deserves the number 1 spot.

Bad deserves to be at number, Appetite for Destruction deserves number 2... Uplift Mofo Party plan should at least be at number 5... other than that I could care less.

3 Def Leppard - Hysteria Def Leppard - Hysteria Product Image

This is "definitely" initely the best album from 1987. To me, it is like a greatest hits album. 7 singles, killer guitarists, awesome bass, one-armed drummer, killer lead vocals. What else could you want?

Glam Rock is defined by this album. I'm not really sure how I feel about this album. It's alright, I prefer definitely Leppard songs to albums.

This album is the best album of 1987 with whitney houston.

A master piece,

Why is pop music above this?

Since I can't vote for The Legacy by Testament, I'll vote for the second best album of 1987
