The Contenders: Page 2

21 Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers
22 Lightbulb Sun - Porcupine Tree
23 In Utero - Nirvana
24 Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends - Coldplay

Great from start to finish. It has such a distinct sound from anything else and it makes it even better! The theme and message of this album is clear and persistent in every song, and every single song sounds so different from the other. But every song is absolutely incredible, especially Lovers in Japan, Lost!, and Death and all of his friends

25 The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
26 Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morrisette
27 Dookie - Green Day
28 Kid A - Radiohead
29 Weezer (Blue Album) - Weezer
30 Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! - Devo

I think this one should be in the top ten. - Caleb9000

31 Stupid Dream - Porcupine Tree
32 Am - Arctic Monkeys
33 Funeral - Arcade Fire

It is such a good album! The group chose to use so many instruments, it's great. Each song is directly fallowed by another in a perfect chain and every single one of them tells a beautiful story.

34 Black Holes and Revelations - Muse

No, I don't necessarily think it should be number one, but I just want to point out that this album contains some of Muse's best work, songs like Exo-politics, Assassin and Take a Bow are just incredible. Even soldiers poem is a great little almost interlude type of song. Even its bonus tracks are awesome, like Glorious and Assassin GOB edition. And let's not forget the epic Knights of Cydonia to finish off the album! - uofmfan1221

35 Parachutes - Coldplay

Beautiful album with great emotion and lyrics. The message of this album shines through. This album is a mellower one, but it is incredible. Not one song is boring because each has a distinct sound and something that makes you want to hear more and more. It is amazing and should be way higher in the rankings!

36 Minutes to Midnight - Linkin Park

This album is a joke

37 Ghost Stories - Coldplay

True genius by coldplay. Alhough a lot of people criticized it because of its mellow tone and its deviation from other albums, it is definitely one that deserves way more credit. If you actually listen to the album, you would see how incredible it actually is. It shows pain and heartbreak, but also light after the darkness. Each somg flows into the other and creates this incredible journey that each listener is taken through. It has no label, there are electronic elements, angels singing, beautiful guitar in every song, etc, that makes this album stand out as something different and unique from anything else done by anybody.

38 The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
39 90125 - Yes
40 See You On the Other Side - Korn
