Meryl Streep plays at some moments so overdramatic (as usual). Amy Adams plays her part so convincingly and so powerfully in this movie that it's truly a shame she didn't get (or almost didn't get) the praise for her performance from the media. All the praise went to Meryl Streep, as always.

This is actually a very good movie, but also very underrated (not many people have seen it or heard about it). Amy Adams, who plays a naive singer/actress wannabe dating three guys at the same time and desperate to get a movie role, demands a social secretary (Frances McDormand). The secretary becomes more of a nanny because of the naivety of Amy Adams's character.
The chemistry of the two leads in this movie (Frances McDormand and Amy Adams) is flawless. The singing of Amy Adams (who sang in "Enchanted" the previous year) is a delight to hear.
Not really an "Amy Adams movie." Her performance is, as usual, outstanding, but it's a minor role. To be in the category of "Best Amy Adams movies," it's a little bit poor (she had bigger roles in episodes of TV series like "Charmed," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," etc., than in this film).
