Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
This is my favourite game of all time. Before I found this, I used to play pirates of the caribbean, the one without jack. It got boring after a while, it had pretty bad combat, and no free roam after the end. I wished someone remade that game in a better form... and so they did! In this game they added all the features I was missing, and (in my opinion) by mixing the two games they created something way better than the two original games. The storyline is not repetative at all. The map is HUGE, and there's so much things to do, you can hunt for treasure, assassinate people for high (ish) reward, cause havoc in a castle, both on land and on water, upgrade your hideout, your ship... and if you run out of pre-made quests, you can still choose from thousands of things to do, like sink 5 battle ships without repairing or take out all the soldiers without getting noticed... And you just have to love Edward, he has both good and evil in his heart, he's not that "serve the right cause ...more
Black Flag had some of the most memorable characters in any video-game I have ever played. Edward was by far one of the most interesting mains in the entire series, and the emotional attachment I felt for the surrounding cast really immersed me in the game. The world was also one of the most impressive I have ever seen, and I really felt compelled to explore every k nook and cranny of it, and achieve that 100% rating. The pirating and ship mechanics were fun and easy to learn, but difficult to master, and the sense of resource management really improved the overall feel of the game. Definitely the best Assassins Creed title, and one of the best games I have played overall. So enjoyable that after getting almost all the achievements in the Xbox 360 version, I did the same when I bought it on the Xbox one less than a year later.
I've never had the opportunity to play this specific game but with all the positive praise and pro-endorsement that this game has received from the numerous users commenting, I'd have to say that this is probably the best one out of bunch of them! This is a great game with so many things to do that you'll be easily persuaded to think that this is the best game by far and completely forget that the other Assassin's Creed games exist! If there was one game on this earth that could be mistaken for a trans-dimensional conduit to Our Almighty God, this IS the game! 10/10
This was the Assassin's Creed game that introduced naval gameplay. It also was the first game to show you didn't have to have assassin blood to be an assassin. The world was obviously the largest and most filled in of all the Assassin's Creed games. Edward Kenway was also one of the best characters in the series. He had the second most character development of all assassins. This is why I think Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag is the greatest Assassin's Creed game of all time.
Its a fun pirate game, solid story, and the graphics are awesome. The issue is that its not as much of an assassins game when you spend half of it on a ship firing cannons at other ships and fortresses. I enjoyed the game, and the smooth combat, just not what I'm looking for in an assassins creed game. Guess they will never top ac2.
My favorite AC game so far, it combines Pirates and Assassins which surprisingly worked! The ship system had been a huge improvement since AC III, and it was addictive for me to try to be the most feared pirate in the sea! While the beginning of the story was slow paced it was worth the outcome, the story was great and I started to care for the characters and what happened to them. Flawless, I rate it 10/10.
Assassinms Creed IV has tight controls, jaw dropping graphics, wonderful atmosphere, well developed characters, and an interesting story. It corrects all of the mistakes made by it's predecessor, builds upon clever gameplay mechanics, cuts the ones that didn't work, and even introduces new ones. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is the most advanced, polished, and fun game in the Assassin's Creed series by far.
This game is super immersing and fun to explore around. Countless times I have fallen asleep just by listening to the crew sing while watching my ship slowly sail through the beautiful blue waters. I like how I have explore to hunt exotic animals to craft gear in the assasins creeds games and I loved the peasant to pirate to secretly getting caught up in the assassin's secret society story line and enjoyed fighting with my ship and crew men.
9. Assassin's Creed Unity
Easily the worst game in the series. It was riddled with glitches, had the most bland protagonist, incredibly boring, was a rehash of AC2, it had next to no innovation. The story was meh. The only thing I really liked about it was the improved graphics. 3/10
8. Assassin's Creed Revelations
Certainly another weak point for the series. Ezio was still cool, but I was getting tired of him at this point. Had the least encouraging opening level. Tower defense was horrendous. Still, it did had an alright story, and we got some more Altair. 5.5/10
7. Assassin's Creed Rogue
I enjoyed being a Templar for a change, and Shay was a cool character. But the gameplay felt really lazy, since it was essentially identical to that of Black Flag' s, and it felt like a DLC for it if anything. It was also felt really short, and I wasn't encouraged to explore the open world. Still better than Unity though. 6.2/10
6. Assassin's Creed
Edward Kenway was phenomenal... The gameplay was superb... The storyline was pretty good too... And the amount of freedom that the player gets in the west indies sea is spectacular... And it was more than just an assassin game this time... It was a PIRATE+ASSASSIN game... So the fun doubled! Need I say more?
This is by far the best story line out of all of the series besides number two. Black Flag deserves to be in the number two spot. The game play and storyline was amazing. I have never cried because of a games storyline, but this one I had tears in my eyes at a couple scenes
The Edward character was one of the most fun video game characters ever. He isn't the stereotypical Assassins because (SPOILER) he isn't an actual Assassin until the end. So you see his character develop but he still stays who he is as a pirate.
I couldn't stop playing this, best game by far in my opinion. Not only that, but Edward Kenway is just so believable in all aspects and elements of gameplay - I understand his story. Not to disparage the other games and assassins, but to be honest, he has the edge that the others lack.
Wow was this game great. I've played all of the main Assassins Creed games, but this one just blew me away. I loved the story. I loved all of the characters, they were all very interesting. The missions were rarely boring, I thoroughly enjoyed each one. The naval combat was fantastic, revolutionary. Also, it didn't take ages to get into an interesting part like with AC3. I might add the game was gorgeous, stunning visually.
What is wrong with up people why would black flag be 2 why I cry every time the story line was okay but not better than brotherhood why you do this to me I cry every time you demon spawn from which you came you shall remain until you are complete again!
Assassins creed was a true open world game. The map was huge! Edward was very charismatic so it made him likable. I liked Connor better just because he was a brute force. I liked Edward because he was releasable. The only thing I didn't like was that stupid office thing. It was so boring! The naval combat was amazing but I wish you could sell the jackdaw for a man o' war or something, but that's just me.
Black Flag is the one of the best AC I've ever played, the story was amazing and the combat mechanics is the best of all Assassin's Creeds series, I love Unity too but the reason it sucks because many people was overhyped
Definitely my favourite, while 2 is my second favourite. 2 was amazing like for its time (2009) but of course these games would improve especially 4 years later and the map is spectacular it's just cool the game play.
This one is the only one I have completed, and I am now playing Syndicate, so I cannot judge on the other games here, but I do know that I really enjoyed this game. There were so many great parts to it alongside the scenery and storyline: my favourites were probably attacking forts and taking on Legendary ships. A nod to Kenway's Fleet too, as if done badly it would not have been as fun as it was.
Really great game. Great naval battles, soundtrack, world, storyline and characters. My favourite place is Havana, such beautiful city. And I love legendary ships battles. Spanish wrecker El Impoluto... This juggernaut is my main reason for repeating the game.
It gave you the will for exploring the whole carribbean sea with your own boat. There were no limitations. You could just stop the boat to dock in a random island, or takedown various other ships. There were some rough ends which could be easily forgiven. If you are a fan of the open world genre you would love this game. Except you have some twisted imaginations for a amazing game.
This was an amazing game be cause it was such an open world experience. I hope that more games will take after this and implement this into there game. As a final I would recommend this to anyone who likes an open world experience.
This game is worth your time, there are many good things about this game and too many to mention. If there are any negative things to this game they are very little and they are minor. Buy this game. It is worth your time and money
I love this game so much, there is so much to explore! Basically I love the pirates theme so for me this is the best assassin's creed game! And also the best pirates game ever!
A beautifully presented and designed game which captivates you the moment you start playing, it has brilliant gameplay and a plot which is amazing, this game knocked the assassins creed expectations a lot higher
