Best Avril Lavigne Albums

The Top Ten
1 Under My Skin

I was so ecstatic when I saw this was the top. It has so many songs that are so true. Songs like: He Wasn't, Freak Out, and How Does It Feel, are like, my life! I really recommend them. Nobody's Home can be a very depressing song, but if you're having a rough day or life, it can make you feel like you're not alone.

Under My Skin is my diary. It will always remain one of my favorite records. I wish Avril made more songs similar to the ones in this record such as "Take Me Away", "My Happy Ending", and "Forgotten". 10 out of 10

Her Greatest Album in the 2000s. In This album her songs was very different from the other albums, because of very deep and sad songs like My Happy Ending, don't Tell Me, Nobodys Home, Together.. That's Why This Album Should Be #1

2 Let Go

Even though it's her debut album and usually debut albums aren't that good, this is her best album I think. All her other albums have swears; this is the only clean album of hers. Under My Skin is too gothic, The Best Damn Thing is too girly, and Goodbye Lullaby and Avril Lavigne are too pop-ish. Let Go is punk-pop, girly-ish, tomboy-ish, and a little bit of everything, plus clean and fun and relatable. I love Losing Grip (such an underrated song), Unwanted (also underrated) and Complicated!

Best album. Usually the first is the worst for singers because they've never made an album before and don't have any experience in what people like and what stuff to put in the album, but this is one of the times where the first was the best. I love all of these songs. Under My Skin, The Best Damn Thing, Goodbye Lullaby and Avril Lavigne are great, but this is definitely her BEST.

3 The Best Damn Thing

This album works as a whole: the tunes, the energy, the style. It's the most coherent album, musicaly. Pefect balance of Hits (Girlfriend, Runaway, The Best Damn Thing and Hot) with catchy punk rock songs (I Can Do Better, Contagious and Keep Holding On). It brings you energy and joy

I say the best damn thing because it's the most amazing album about hating and loving guys... Though, my favorite song is sk8er boi, I still think the best damn thing is the best... especially because of her hit, girlfriend...

"HOT" is her best song so this is her best album. Also, Innocence, Girlfriend, Contagious, The Best Damn Thing, Keep Holding On etc are very good too.

4 Goodbye Lullaby

Goodbye lullaby is a close second to let go, this is a album to be listened to in order and not just pick thru, she poured her heart into this album and it's the perfect middle of the road cocktail that mixes the best of old style Avril in tracks like Darlin and Black star, in sharp contrast to new school pop hits like smile and what the hell. As for my favorite track, Darlin is worth the entire price of the album on its own. If I didn't have nostalgia for let go this would be my favorite album. All and all a very solid lp for the money and it's more of the avril we've grown to love.

5 Avril Lavigne

Definitely, not her best album. Avril Lavigne ditched her pop-punk sound with Goodbye Lullaby, which is her most mellow and monotonous album. Despite this, Goodbye Lullaby wasn't a bad album. In this new record Avril Lavigne has changed a little more. It has some great songs (Give you what you like, Hello heartache, Hush hush, etc), despite it sounds more commercial and ordinary. But there are also some bad songs, just like Hello Kitty, Bit**n' Summer, Ain't seen nothing yet and Sippin' on sunshine. In general, this is her emptiest album (lyrically speaking) and the most commercial. To be honest, I thought it would be better because her husband (Chad Kroeger) helped her writing this album. It's hard to think how two great songwriters made such an empty record. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike this album, but I think that she can do so much better than this. I give the album a 6 out of 10.

6 Avril Lavigne: The Best Damn Tour
7 Avril Lavigne: Bonez Tour 2005 - Live at Budokan
8 My World
9 Avril Live: Try to Shut Me Up
10 Head Above Water

This is the best Album so many meanings in the songs It's like a Version of Every Album this is the Best Album yet it. You can really relate to the lyrics She slays so Hard AVRIL DE BEST!

The Contenders
11 Live Acoustic (2004)
12 B-Sides

This album represents the true Avril, way before she surrendered to the record labels and made commercial music.
Not that the album is not commercial as some of the songs are really catchy and simple, but it has some honesty and magic to it.
I think that some songs like I Don't Give and Headset are brilliant and better than many of her hits and album tracks, maybe not her best album but still a worthy one and much better than her albums from The Best Damn Thing until her self titled album, I would give it 7.5/10 because you can hear that she is still young and need some work to be done but her songs were good lyrically and musically at this point.
