Best Books for Teenagers

These are some of my favorite teenage/young adult books.
The Top Ten
1 The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins

It's one of the best sci-fi adventure books I've read so far! Between this and Twilight? Please, The Hunger Games all the way.

I can't believe that books like city of bones is not on this list when twilight is. If you want to read twilight I'm giving you good advice because it ruined my life.

It's my favorite book. I recommend this to anyone who loves action. This book kept me on the edge, and I didn't want to put it down. I read all 3 books in 4 days.

Once you start reading this, you just can't stop. It's the BEST BOOK EVER! You'll start living in the story, and it's really damn good.

2 Twilight - Stephenie Meyer

I read the books and they were just as bad as the movies.

3 The Last Song - Nicholas Sparks

I can totally relate to Ronnie because my mom made me spend a whole summer with my dad in Florida and I met the love of my life their. My little brother had to go too. I think that teenagers can relate to Ronnie if their parents are divorced. Excellent job Nicholas Sparks.

4 Whiteout - Ken Follett
5 Dear John - Nicholas Sparks
6 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - J.K. Rowling

Better than anything else. Should surely surpass Hunger Games

7 Just Like That - Marsha Qualey
8 The Lucky One - Nicholas Sparks
9 Percy Jackson & the Olympians - Rick Riordan

Hmm. I thought it will be higher.

10 Left Behind: A Novel of the Earth's Last Days - Tim LaHaye, Jerry B. Jenkins
The Contenders
11 Pretty Little Liars - Sara Shepard

It's one of the few things that's got me addicted to it and the first book I can say. Awesome. Seriously awesome. The story structure's amazing and it gets us hooked to it. And Emily's character inspires me personally and it DOES have a message if you look close enough. Amazing BOOK! Every teenage girl(the ones who're not obsessed with VDs or supernatural) who lives in the real world must read it I highly recommend. It became a part of my life.

Amazing work, Sara

12 The Frog Princess - E. D. Baker
13 Artemis Fowl - Eoin Colfer
14 The Secret Garden - Frances Hodgson Burnett
15 The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle - Avi
16 The Last Thing I Remember - Andrew Klavan
17 Skulduggery Pleasant - Derek Landy

"The sparrow flies south for winter" - Best line of all time.

18 Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky
19 Scott Pilgrim - Bryan Lee O'Malley
20 The Adventures of Tom Sawyer - Mark Twain
21 The Mortal Instruments - Cassandra Clare

Best books ever!

22 Amulet: The Stonekeeper - Kazu Kibuishi
23 I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You
24 Wonder - R.J. Palacio

Okay, let me be honest, what I am going to say won't involve what this list is about, but someone will have to say something about this. I think this book ( and the movie ) screams generic in bloody murder. Here's why:

1. Main character is different
2. Love interest stands up for main character. I
3. Anyone who hates main character is treated like a Nazi to the fans of the book/movie
4. Main character gets his way in the end and becomes a Mary Sue/Marty Stu

Yep, that's right. I think Auggie is a Marty Stu.
