Top 10 Best Break-up Songs Since 1990

Music from 1990s to now that are considered the best breakup songs in my opinion.
The Top Ten
1 Sexed Up - Robbie Williams

Great song to listen to after you've been betrayed

2 Someone Like You - Adele

Great singer. Adele discovers that an old flame is now settled down with someone new. She isn't the type to be jealous so she comes to the idea she has to find someone like him. She asks him don't forget her and although very hurt, she doesn't show it. Poor Adele.

I love it. This one is definitely adele's best.

3 This Woman's Work - Maxwell

All time best song for this situation. Some might say the lyrics mean something totally different, but I believe he is talking about a break-up. He talks about the things he and his lover were supposed to say and do with each other. He defitnitely regrets the break-up.

4 Ex-Factor - Lauryn Hill

She talks about their relationship being a battlefield and they both end up with scars. They both are affected by this on-off again relationship. They can't stay away from each other. He makes her stay and although she loves him, she learns to let him go.

5 Gone & Never Coming Back - Melanie Fiona

Her and her boyfriend have ups and downs and they both loved each other. He told her he was coming back but he never did. She was so confused because he said he loved her to death. She waited for him for a while and she never knew he was gone forever until the end of the song.

6 Can't Be Friends - Trey Songz

Trey talks about a girl who broke his heart that he really loved. They had such great times together it would be too difficult to be friends, according to him impossible. He talks about what he regrets about the relationship because it makes him feel even more in despair.

7 Marvin's Room - Drake

Drake talks about the only woman he would call at his lowest point is his ex, who is happy with another guy. He slowly tries to win her back over the phone while he is drunk. Although this does not work, he does pour his heart out to her.

8 Part of the List - Ne-Yo

Not a big Ne-yo fan but this song touched me. He talks about his ex girlfriend and the features he misses about her. Every time he thinks about her, he comes up with something new every time. Makes you think of that someone too.

9 Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day

It'S a very beatiful song from one of the best bands ever.
It has a very deep meaning and its really fits on every break up situation wether on old flames or on a degree.

10 Far Away - Tyga ft. Chris Richardson

This song can be listed if someone close has died because of the video. But this song is also about what couples go through and neither of you had to die. This is the only song I know that Tyga does not curse the entire song and he shows his sensitive side.

The Contenders
11 The Breakup Song - American Hi-Fi
12 Still Got It - Tyga ft. Drake

I love it when Tyga takes a sensitive role. It doesn't happen very often but when he does it, it turns out to be great. He and Drake explain that even though we're no longer together that girl will always have a special place in their hearts.

13 Snuff - Slipknot
14 I Don't Need a Man - The Pussycat Dolls
15 Black - Pearl Jam

The epitome of break up songs! Nobody puts so much emotion into their music as Eddie does

16 Say Goodbye - Chris Brown

One of Chris's earlier singles but he sings from the point of view of a teen not knowing how to breakup with his girlfriend. Although it is told from the boy point of view, girls can also relate to it. Your girlfriend/boyfriend is a great person, but how do you tell them its over?

17 I Will Survive - Enrique Iglesias

Instead of sad, depressing songs better listen to this. "I will survive, I'm gonna make it trough. Just give of time. I will get over you"

18 Black Dahlia - Hollywood Undead
19 Take a Bow - Madonna
20 One More Night - Sandra
21 No Regrets - Robbie Williams
22 I'm Not Ok - My Chemical Romance
