Voiced by the cartoonist and creator, John K, this character had some of the best scenes in cartoon history, such as the what I'm gonna do speech, space madness scene, and YOU EEDIOT! The show kind of jumped the shark when John K got fired, but regardless, Ren is one of the best cartoon dogs in history.

Another great thing about Spike from Rugrats is he watches over the babies way more than Stu, Didi, or Grandpa Lou. He cares about them so much, in fact, he even thinks of them as his own babies. In the Rugrats Movie (1998), Spike saves the babies from a wolf much bigger than him.
