Celebrating the peaceful transition of power? Do I read there " celebrating "? How can you celebrate a power transition for someone who clearly doesn't deserve to be celebrate and for someone who isn't a " peaceful power? By singing the national anthem? A clown like Donald Trump doesn't deserve a " national " anthem. If Jackie Evancho was smart enough she would 't had accept to sing on that particular " Trump power " transition. That would also be in her favor as " best role " model. People who didn't vote for the " power " of Donald Trump ( and who will certainly not celebrate the transition ) will never see her as a " best role model " for that matter. You cannot justify her act just by saying that she will be singing the national anthem ( are you a role model because you sing the national anthem? People outside the United States do not care of the national anthem ) because it's a tradition. A best role model should be a universal role model for all people all over the world and not ...more
Jackie Evancho IS the greatest role model of all. She teaches and inspires people to love, and not to hate, and most importantly, to ignore haters. People say horrid nasty stuff about Jackie and her family, and she and her family ignores it. Jackie acts more mature than adults today whom act like children. People hate on Jackie for the wrong reasons. Jackie stays true to herself, and she is the BEST example for children.
Yes, Jackie Evancho is a great role model for everyone. Its pretty sad that someone who is close to illiterate decides to leave a rambling screed that appears to say nobody should ever sing the national anthem of any nation ever again [can't really be sure, because its mostly unintelligible]. Its also interesting that Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Hillary Clinton, and Michelle Obama will all be attending the Inaugural too, honoring the peaceful transition of power, and lending historic significance to the event.
Jackie is an amazing teenager who deftly balances work, play and school to realize her dreams while keeping her feet on the ground. Full of life, fun, polite, positive, energetic and thoughtful, Jackie embodies a lot of the qualities that we appreciate in our role models.

Why can't everyone be like her?
She is one of my favorite female celebrities. She's really smart, and I think she's definitely a good role model
