Finding out he is a monster parents tell their children about at night, Loki seeking the love of his father and to be an equal to that of Thor, instead of being but shadow to the perfect son that could do no wrong. Loki is the misunderstood lonely and lovable villain we all want to just hug and accept for who he is. So even though Loki has joined the dark side he walks on a fine line of redemption towards that of the light.

(It also helps that Tom is drop dead gorgeous and those a wonderful job at portraying our devilish god of chaos! )

I love Loki not not only because he is played by Tom Hiddleston but because he's such a complex, deep villain that we don't see often enough in movies like this. He may have done a lot of bad things, but he was neglected as a child, and the first really evil thing he did was to try and impress his dad. He went bad mostly because he felt second-largest for his whole life. He's such a beautiful character and I love him.

The dedication he puts into his performance is incredible! When you look at Loki, you can't see Tom. He allowed Chris Hemsworth hit him in the face to make a scene look more realistic for gods sake! If that's not dedication I don't know what is. The emotion he possess through Loki is just beautiful

Loki is the most 3D and interesting character in the whole movie. He was abandoned, adopted, lied to, betrayed... He was wiser than Thor and had to save his butt multiple times, and still their father favored Thor over him. Loki should have been king of Asgard. Is it any wonder he decided he wanted his own kingdom?

Loki is super BA and definitely deserves to be #1.

A complex and layered character, Loki is one of the best characters ever created. He is highly intelligent and yet, emotionally fragile. The first quality keeps him ten steps ahead of everyone else and the second makes him very hard to decipher. Tom Hiddleston's portrayal of Loki was just beautiful.

He is an interesting mix of vulnerability and villainy. Witty, intelligent and just generally bad-ass he is one of the most entertaining characters in the movie. I love all of the avengers and I understand that Loki isn't really supposed to be loved but I can't help it he is just too damn charming. And sexy. Very sexy.

There are no men like me"

Because he's so much more developed in this movie. He's got a lot more to him than in Thor. All of the other characters were mainly developed in their own movie. He's just way too wonderful in this movie. Don't get me wrong I love the Avengers but my god Loki. /swoons.

Loki is my favorite villain. You can have a little bit of everything with him. He has all the ingredients wrapped in one leather green package. Besides is play by one of the greatest actors right now Mr. Hiddleston
Hiddleston + Loki = Perfection

I Love Thor and Loki. Loki rules. He is also attractive haha. But lets get serious. If you found out your whole life was a lie and your not really who you thought you were, how would you feel? Especially being in a siblings shadow the whole time. That adds up. And since he's a God when he gets angry he isn't just gonna punch a wall. He's gonna terrorize another planet. I would be angry as hell too. I thought loki was clever and smart - dragonfly99

In a film with so many hot guys, wonderful actors all... My favorite is Loki. Not many actors can make the "villain" better loved than all those superheroes, but Tom Hiddleston has done just that. He also seems to be the nicest, most endearing man.

Because despite him being the 'bad guy' Tom Hiddleston still manages to draw sympathy as well as hatred from the audience. He had some great lines and moments (and a great costume! ). He was a fantastic character played by a fantastic actor.

Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor. He really captures the tortured soul of someone who genuinely believes that he is doing what is right, albeit in his own mind.

He is Loki, you can't have a Movie with out a bad guy. He pulled it off perfectly. How much more would you want from him.
You have all the other bad guys you could have picked, but the fact that Loki came back from Thor more Evil, more into himself, and just more down right "I'm a Badass so do as I say" that just proves he is the man to beat.

He has great character depth. He may be a villain, but there is that unbearable pain that he could be so good as well. He's tragic. He's choosing to be evil and he makes us scream at him to accept what's happened and to join Thor on Asgard. We don't want to see him be so evil, and deep down, he doesn't want to be like that either.

Loki is the character that makes you think about the nature of his personality and helps to realize such kind of "Loki" can live in everyone. Amazing character brilliantly played!

Because he's Loki. They needed 6 guys (sorry nat, 5 guys and a girl) to stop him. Heh

From the interviews alone, Tom Hiddleston can explain his character to such an amazing extent and can actually act it out too. His face can show so much emotion. And he does have an army. Yes.

Tom Hiddleston was an excellent villain for this movie. He made Loki a manipulator of the minds, since Loki seems to lack the physical ability to fight the Avengers all at once. His interactions with Thor are always interesting. I just love Loki so much and I'm not one to like villain, though I appreciate them. - lokiofasgard

Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor who seems to genuinely get into his character, and Loki has emotional depth due to his upbringing-the fact that has was lied to his whole life, basically. He also looks great with the black, styled hair, and the nice Asgardian leather and metal.

Loki showed a lot of depth of character, something typically not done with villains. It was also surprising to see a villain you can sympathize with.

Although It was obvious that he was not going to win, somehow I wanted him to win, because of having a good plan His eyes! Just give them a deep look

All those Avengers and the villain is the most fascinating and intriguing character in the film. That's a wonderful testament to Tom's talent.

The secret element that made the Avengers work...proof that a good villain is worth investing in. While going full supervillain, the pathos and complexity of his initial portrayal is still kept, making him an engaging foil who bounces off every hero in entertaining way. He brought the Avengers together; what more can you say?

He can shape-shift. There is no other character, besides Loki's mom Frigga, who can shape-shift. And he has impeccable dress sense. He has so much emotion. Tom Hiddleston did a terrific job portraying Loki. Some of the best acting I have ever seen. And it is easier to relate to Loki than most of the other characters. And as Tom Hiddleston said "Every villain is a hero in his own mind."

He's not some superhero or supervillain, no Loki is a character that can be related to by many. Loki is someone who always lived in the shadow of his brother. He is not evil, nor is he good, he's what every person would be if they were... Well lacking in affection.
