Australia is an extremely high class country, with unique opportunities to grow, educate, work and live in the calm tranquil environment known as Australia. Some may stay away from our extreme prices on just about everything, but that only benefits the economy for us Australians, we have the best city, and on most other country ranks, have won the right to claim Australia being the best country on Earth, our multiculturalism, our economy, our education, our Human services (Hospital, Police, Fire departments, etc. ), we are an amazing country and there are millions, even Billions of ways to prove it!

Go Australia, Very good place to live. - dragon13304

The only country I've ever lived in, Australia is a very beautiful country. It's also a very free country where different cultures mix together very well. Add to that the fact that it's the second-most developed country after Norway according to the HDI, the excellent literacy rate of 99%, the okay crime rate and the great healthcare system, Australia is the best and only country I've lived in. Sure, it has some bad people, and many of the teenagers in some parts of Sydney that I've been to are absolutely appalling. The amount of teenagers who skip school, smoke, drink and wreak havoc is astonishing in Sydney, but it's still a safe and extremely developed place to live.

Australia officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is a country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania and numerous smaller islands. It is the largest country in Oceania and the world's sixth-largest country by total area. The neighbouring countries are Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and East Timor to the north; the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu to the north-east; and New Zealand to the south-east. Australia's capital is Canberra, and its largest urban area is Sydney.

I live here and it's the best country in the world. Free healthcare, gun control, friendly people and something many other nations don't have... Space! Yes, with a population of 25 million and almost the size of the USA, we can afford big backyards within major cities. The world needs to know more about us. If you're planning to move, or your next holiday, come on down and enjoy the sunshine. And just to let you know, the wildlife isn't as deadly as they say... well, as long as you don't do anything silly.

Australia is gods country we have up too 340 days off sunshine a year Golden beaches The Great Barrier Reef free Medicare health system low unemployment we have lots of gold lots the silver lots of Opals and sapphires we have plenty of Iron ore coal Uranium natural gas shale Oil and best of all we have our Australian aborigines and the outback and kangaroos. I would absolutely love to live there. It's my dream. Sydney, my favourite city after LA, Miami and Dubai. But the reason I will never live there is because of the spiders. I live in Sweden and we freak out when we see a small 6mm spider on the corner of our room or if any other insect is in my room, no matter the size. So how do you think I will do when I live in Australia?

I live in Australia an I have travelled the world but there is no place like home. We have some of the best most liveable place on earth and the weather is great. Food is multicultural choice at affordably price an the beaches are breathtakingly beautiful. Some many unique animals and birds and varied landscapes. You can see the world in Australia as it is a great melting pot of multiculturalism. God has blessed us as we are indeed the LUCKY country.

Australia is a country that you can just wake up not worrying about bombs setting off. Australia has many great natural wonders such as the Great Barrier Reef and Uluru. Australia is also a country with many cultures that seek freedom. The climate is perfect for a day at the beach or a day at the theme parks. Most importantly, Australia is a country with great hygiene and loads of space. Not two crowded but also not deserted.

Yes Australia is the BEST! It has beautiful places to visit
Like:
Great Barrier Reef (QLD)
Opera House (NSW)
Byron Bay (NSW)
Three Sister (NSW)
Uluru (NT)
Gold Coast (QLD)
Sunshine Coast (QLD)
(forgive me if I missed any other beautiful places in Australia)
And all those beautiful cities:
Brisbane
Sydney
Canberra
Melbourne
Perth
Darwin
Hobart
Adelaide

Great country. Nice people. The socialist Labor/Green Government is trying to turn the country communist quick though. Country being over run by Islamic illegal aliens who refuse to assimilate. Open boarders no protection for this beautiful land. Don't get used to a high score in the future unless you change your government from the Labor communists back to the way it was when the conservatives were in power, you had a twenty two billion dollar surplus and you weren't paying two million dollars a day in interest payments to China to pay off one hundred seventy eight billion dollars deficit.

Australia is the absolute best country in the world I was born in Greece I have been to canada which had the worst weather I have been to america which had the worst environment and I have been to many third world countries Australia kills all of them everyone should see Australia its absolutely beautiful.

Some may say that we are racist, and I wont lie, we do believe in freedom of speech and do make the odd racist joke. But unlike other countries, we don't put racism into practice by giving different prices to different races as we see fit *coughcoughfrancecoughcough* - andrewtuckey

Australia has approximately 25,000 known species of plants (Europe has approximately 17,500), but this number is still going up because new plants are still being discovered. It also has a number of plants that have been around since the days of the dinosaurs. They were thought to have been extinct for millions of years until they were re-discovered in Australia.

Australia is a country with a stable and diverse economy (it was one of just a few countries to not go into recession during the GFC), a high standard of living, generally good public transport, education, etc. At the same time Australians have a carefree and laidback attitude, they love travelling and being in nature. Today, countries that are this way tend to have terrible economies (Spain, Italy, etc), and most countries that have great economies have uptight and reserved people (Germany, Sweden, etc.) Australia manages to combine both the good economy and carefree lifestyle in a way no other country can.

Australia has the best of everything to offer except for the politicians but we can all change that, I have always wanted to move but when I think about it I can never imagine leaving this amazing country. As said in earlier posts this is the best place to live and I'm shocked that it isn't ranking in as number 1, because I know for sure that it is.

I just traveled to New York and Toronto and I enjoyed Canada and USA but I live in Sydney and I think Australia is the best country in the world great weather, peaceful, nice beaches and cities everyone should visit Australia once in there life time at least.

Agree with all the plentiful positive comments about Australia. A few things though that some people may not tell you: beneath the surface is a highly racist country where no one will tell you a problem they have to you to your face. Everyone is passive aggressive - on the street, in the work place, at your university, everywhere.

Australia has a horse race which runs on the first Tuesday of November every year called the Melbourne Cup (unlike the Great Victorian desert, which is located in the state Western Australia and not in the state of Victoria, the Melbourne Cup is actually in Melbourne). It is dubbed "The race that stops the nation". Go to any pub on that Tuesday and it will be full. In fact, the day is a public holiday for all of Melbourne and parts of Victoria. $90 million was wagered on the 2013 cup.

Beautiful country - there's space to live, wide roads, great food, amazing places to go for an escape. Friendly and helpful people. Love the diversity in cultures and how we live relatively harmoniously. Land of opportunity - it isn't so much about who you know but who you are and what you offer.

A really safe and friendly country with coral reefs, diverse wildlife, and great places to hike. It's said that Tasmania (an Australian island) has the best air quality in the world. - ethanmeinster

Australia is located in the Southern Hemisphere. Water flushes/spirals in the opposite direction compared to water in the Northern Hemisphere. Summer is from December to February, meaning it is hot at Christmas time. All the stars are upside down compared to the stars in the Northern Hemisphere.

Australia is a beautiful and lovely place, no problems whatsoever, everyone kind and accepting towards others, healthy environments and a lot of fun things to do. I think it should be first. I'm in love with Australia, we welcome all who come. #1 should be Australia. But that's clearly my opinion.
