Darrell Lance Abbott, also known as "Diamond Darrell" and "Dimebag Darrell", was the guitarist of the greatest groove metal band ever, Pantera. In 2003, Pantera went to hiatus. He and his brother formed Damageplan. On December 8, 2004; he was shot by Nathan Galen on-stage while performing with Damageplan.
