Best Disney Pixar Characters

The Top Ten
1 Woody (Toy Story) Sheriff Woody Pride is a fictional character in the Toy Story franchise. He is voiced by Tom Hanks in all of the feature-length and short films and by Jim Hanks in video games and shorts. He is a stuffed cowboy character that leads the other toys in adventures in the movies. His facial features are based on Tone Thyne, an animator for Disney at the time.

Oh my God, I love Woody so much! I even like Buzz and Jessie, but I like Woody the most of all. I so like Tom Hanks on the movies, and Jim Hanks on the video games. I'm glad he's #11

Glad to see Woody as number one. He was like a childhood hero for me. He's awesome.

he is cool funny and a freaking cowboy what more do you want

He's a Pixar icon. He's the Mickey Mouse of Pixar

2 Dory (Finding Nemo) Dory is a major character from the film, Finding Nemo and its sequel, Finding Dory. She is a blue tang known for her short-term memory loss and tends to forget almost everything, even the fish that she knows personally. This makes the mission to find Nemo even more difficult for Marlin.

Don't get me wrong…Dory is an amazing character and is hilarious. But the one thing that I personally think she lacks in character is the fact that she is one of the less relatable characters. I love her to death, but most Pixar characters are a lot more relatable.

Best fish in the world! If I accidentally fished her, id take a picture of her IN A TANK and then release her. Love ya, Dory!

I know me and Lilly have already written a note but we want to say this again... Just keep swimmin, just keep swimmin. DORY ROCKS AND LITTERLY RULES. Emma and Lilly Kent

DO NOT TELL VideoGameFan5 About This List Because He Is A Rabid Dory Hater But Other Than That Great User

3 WALL-E (WALL-E)

His emotions are expressed without a word, which says something about how great he is as a character. Whenever someone watches him, they cannot stop smiling. He is pure heart, through and through.

It takes skill to get everyone who watches this movie to fall in love with you without being able to speak a complete sentence

Yes! Yes! I have never met someone who could watch that movie without falling in love with WALL-E.

The only words he said were WALL-E and ever and he's #2!

4 Mike (Monsters Inc.)

I used to think this movie was perfectly fine when I was younger, but nowadays, I think it has randomly hilarious lines; "Put that thing back where it came from or so help me"

I LOVE Mike! (Woody definitely deserves to be at the top though)

5 Buzz (Toy Story)

Reminds me of my beautiful boyfriend! Buzz is by far the best Pixar character EVER! He's brave and strong and believes in looking out for his friends no matter what.

To infinity, and beyond!

6 Sulley (Monsters Inc.)

The best he's a big blue beast

7 Lightning McQueen (Cars) Lightning McQueen, typically referred to by his surname McQueen, is a anthropomorphic stock car in the animated Pixar film Cars, its sequels Cars 2, Cars 3, and TV shorts known as Cars Toons.

I liked Lightning McQueen a lot as a kid. I even remember getting a Cars-themed birthday cake for one of my birthdays back during my childhood. It had a toy car of Lightning McQueen on it. He's so cool and one of my favorite moments from him was when he helped an injured racer reach the finish line instead of just leaving him in the dust to take first place. That's real sportsmanship right there. I can't wait to see Cars 3.

This character is definitely my favorite I grew up watching it. If I was gonna watch a Pixar movie it would definitely be Cars. This movie is so great and makes me angry when people hate on it because it's too country for them City Folk! Well down here we are more self-respecting and kind. This guy shows what racing is really like. It's not always about winning it's about the spirit that pushes you. KACHOW!

He's been my favorite Disney character of all time ever since the first movie came out. I did like his redesign in Cars 2 with the headlights and spoiler hood, but Cars 3 was a combination between 1 & 2's design with the fiery lightning bolts, the Rusteze logo, the headlights, & the hood. He's been a good role model for a long time.

Lightning is the not only best Disney character to me but the best CHARACTER to me. I think he is great and deserves 1st place

8 Violet Parr (The Incredibles) Violet Parr is a fictional character from The Incredibles and Incredibles 2. The movies follow her and her family as superheros, living in a world where superheros are known as destructive and must abide only by their secret identities. Violet has the power of invisibility (reflecting her quiet personality) ...read more.

I honestly like Violet. Like Riley in Inside Out she is going through the troubles of growing up and she is easily relatable from when you were around her age (same with Riley)

I love violet she's so relatable when it comes to family lol

Relatable for many teenage girls

She is an amazing character. Especially when her mother got worried on the plane about leaving Jack-Jack alone.
Helen: You left Jack-Jack alone?
Violet: Yes, mom, I'm totally stupid.
One of the best hidden Pixar lines.

9 Rex (Toy Story)

Rex many not be scary, but he is smart. He (unwittingly) defeated Zurg physically!

I love Rex. He's so clumsy and funny

10 Merida (Brave) Princess Merida is a fictional character from Pixar's first ever Disney Princess film, Brave. She is a talented archer who wishes that she were not destined to become the Elegant Queen of Dun Broch. She is forced into a marriage betrothal by her mother, with whom she has a very negative relationship. ...read more.

Me and Lilly Love Merida. She is so strong and independent. She is the most strong and independent out of all the Disney characters ( besides Snow White.) Who wrote this Walt Disney?. Emma and Lilly Kent

Merida is the best Disney character. I love how she is very strong and independent, and her personality is a reflection of my own.

Merida is the best Disney Princess and she is very independent unlike most of the other Disney Princesses

Number 12? Merida deserves top 8 spot for being the first main Pixar character to be a princess.

The Contenders
11 Dug (Up) Dug is one of the two tritagonists of Disney/Pixar's 2009 film, Up. He also appears in Dug's Special Mission as the protagonist and in George & A.J. as a minor character.

He should be at least in the top 3. He is so funny and awesome!

Its pronounced Dug and he's such a funny character.

Doug and russel are the funniest up characters

He's AWESOME COME ON GUYS IT'S DOUG!

12 Remy (Ratatouille)

Doesn't let anything get in the way of his dreams of being a cook. Even if he is a rat and an unwelcome addition to the kitchen. Even if his family tells him it's not worth following. He won't let anything stand in his way. Possibly one of Pixar's most inspirational characters.

Rent is such an amazing character and I love how he chases his dream no matter how much his family pressures him or what type of creature his is and how his kind is viewed in the world.

the most lovable, though all of them are, and somehow the most human. flawed, but lovable. awesome character

He could control your hair like PlayStation controller.

13 Helen Parr (The Incredibles)

She's tough, courageous, and sexy

14 Joy (Inside out) Joy is the main protagonist of the 2015 Disney/Pixar animated feature film "Inside Out". She is one of the five emotions inside of Riley Andersen's mind and serves as the leader. Hence her name she is very positive and optimistic and wants nothing more but for Riley to be happy.

NO! How did she beat Dash? Dash is amazing! The only part that I liked with her was when she cried because she actually showed another emotion besides constant joy. She was SO annoying.

A very complex character with tons of likability and stars in one of the greatest films ever made

She's very multilayered and engaging

15 Edna Mode (The Incredibles) Edna Mode is a fictional character from Pixar's Incredibles Franchise. She is a well-known suit designer for super heroes of all kind. She has a slightly spunky attitude and firmly believes that your costume should be powerful, while still looking good.

I'm actually confused if this character is a he or she. Weird but cool.

I love her so much

She is my favourite character from anything ever!

This person creeps me out she looks creepy

16 Riley Andersen (Inside Out) Riley Andersen is a major character from the 2015 Disney/Pixar animated film "Inside Out". She is an 11 (later 12) year old girl in the 6th grade who loves hockey. She was originally from Minnesota who then moved to San Francisco, California, where she then experiences various changes in her life. She ...read more.

Most adolescents go through such a hard time in their lives, and Riley's move to San Francisco is so relatable that it mirrors so many changes that happen in other kids' lives. It's so tragic to see her just slip into such depression towards the end of the movie, and she's way too young to have experienced all that she did.

Riley is very relatable for when you were a teen. I love everything about Riley except for before Joy and Sadness go missing, she has the personality of a 4 year old a tiny bit.

She is the most complex and interesting character in inside and is dangerously relatable

Her psychology is the most complex and unique of all Pixar characters

17 Jessie (Toy Story 2)

All of us cried as When She Loved Me played

18 Nemo (Finding Nemo)

Why is Nemo in last place?

Why is he so close to last?

19 Mater (Cars) Tow Mater, or simply Mater, is a character in Cars and its sequels, Cars 2 and Cars 3 as well as Cars Toons. He is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy and inspired by a 1951 International Harvester tow truck.

He is overhated because of Cars 2. He may be dumb and kind of annoying but that's just his personality.

It's like Tow Mater but without the tuh! This character is so savage! I love Larry the Cable Guy's voice for it!

I like mater in cars I like when he Drive s Backwards

I don't mind him. He's a decent character.

20 Russell (Up)
21 Flik (A Bug's Life)

It's sad that A Bug's Life keeps getting forgotten, because there are many things to love about this film. Flik is one of the reasons why. He's incredibly optimistic and caring for others, despite getting crap thrown at him in the first half of the film.

No matter how forgotten this movie is I will still always remember and love A Bug's Life and Flik.

incredibly underrated

22 Jack-Jack Parr (The Incredibles)
23 Colette Tatou (Ratatouille)

She's beautiful, tough, and talented

24 Sadness (Inside Out) Sadness is a major character in the 2015 Disney/Pixar film, Inside Out. She is one of the five emotions inside the mind of Riley Andersen.

What?! How is Joy up there and Sadness down here!

25 Mr. Potato-head (Toy Story)

I have a toy based on him.
