Top 10 Best Dr. Dre Songs

The Top Ten
1 Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang

This song should definitely be in the top three of Dre's best music. It has mad beats, it's smooth all throughout, and it never gets old. What more could you ask for? As for "I Need a Doctor", I really don't see why it should be anywhere near the top ten. Honestly, he's only being "featured" in the song (towards the end and for a brief moment at that). Is it a great song? Sure, but it doesn't show the best that Dr. Dre has shown throughout the years.

I feel that the reason it made its way up here is the fact that people are too hyped up on the song overall. Dr. Dre's top ten list deserves better than this.

2 Still D.R.E.

The beat is perfected, and so is the flow. This song was ahead of its time! The lyrics were very good (thanks Jay-Z for that), and the music video was funny when Eminem appeared out of nowhere.

To be honest, I didn't know which one to vote for. They're all good. Nuthin' But a G Thang, The Next Episode, Kush, Ra Ta Tat Tat, What's the Difference, Let Me Ride, and so on. But the one song missing on this list is DEZ NUTS!

I think this is Dre's best work in his career. I don't think he would be able to make a better beat than this. Doesn't matter what kind of music you listen to, this will touch your soul, especially the sound at 0:20.

3 Forgot About Dre

Good song! Dr. Dre raps fast, and it's like he was channeling Eminem. Dre might even be able to rap as fast as Godzilla Eminem or Joyner Lucas. He doesn't normally go that fast, but it's still impressive what he has done. It's cool to rap fast, and he has mastered other areas of rap like flow and beat. The second verse goes hardcore.

He spits facts about himself and really strong fire about others too in the song, and wrote part of the lyrics along with Eminem. The instruments are good. He uses a violin sound with guitar, made it up on the keyboard. Rap is more about beat and singing is more about tune, yet the tune is about as good as the beat in that. Dre is a boss. He is good.

4 The Next Episode

This is #1, no two ways about it. The sample he took is on point, Snoop Dogg kills it, and the whole thing just works. This is the best song Dr. Dre has ever produced, not by a mile, but it's still at the top.

My only complaint? It's way too short.

It's just too good to be 5th. Each verse got an awesome introduction, which is, of course, followed by classic rap at its best. Dre hands down shines here.

Both the lyrics and the beats make a lot of sense to me. This should be the song we're looking for!

5 F*** Wit Dre Day (And Everybody's Celebratin')

Not even in the Top 5? This song is one of the best that Dre has ever written. The lyrics. The beat. Even Death Row... they all show descriptive emotion in this song and how they felt about Eazy-E and Ruthless. Not to mention, it's also one of the most iconic diss tracks of all time. So yeah, a 5-star rating track.

Awesome and great song, fantastic rhythm. It will always be one of my favorites. This song is on the legendary game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. And Dre and Snoop are the best rappers.

I can't describe what this song makes me feel every single time I listen to it. Incredible!

6 California Love

Dre and Tupac, an awesome song. I'm shocked that it's not in the top ten. I mean, when the best producer and the best rapper make a song, it's got to be awesome. This song is also considered one of Tupac's best songs. Listen to this song, and you'll love it.

Dr. Dre and 2Pac, what more can you ask for? This is number 1. There are two unbelievable verses over an amazing beat in this collaboration between the best producer and the best rapper. Anyway, why is Big Egos not on here?

This song is one of the best songs by 2Pac, not to mention Dre doing his thing. Both 2Pac and Dre did their part better than most people could, both in his day and in our day.

7 I Need a Doctor

The most amazing song ever. Marshall Mathers pays tribute to his mentor in the most lavishing rap style. I don't know how Dre put such muscle into it. By the way, this is the best product of the rap industry. Eminem just raps along with the beat, which makes the song more catchy, and Dre was usual in his caliber. Kudos to Dre and Eminem.

Listen, this song should not be fourth, but it doesn't mean it's bad. If all you rap amateurs actually listened to the verses, Eminem tells us how Dre risked his career for Em. Actually, listen to this song before dissing it.

8 What's the Difference

A touching intro with Dre paying tribute to the D.O.C and Eazy-E, and then Xzibit rips up the track with his straight-up West Coast verse. And then Eminem comes in and blows up the song with funny and perfect flowing rhymes.

Dre, Em, and Xzibit are all on point! This song should be in the top 5 for sure because it's definitely better than I Need a Doctor, which isn't a bad song but should be a lot lower on the list.

Beyond amazing beat. Perfect balance of a powerful orchestral, kick, and snare. The chorus is strong, but the guest features of Eminem and Xzibit push this song over the top.

9 Let Me Ride

Easily a top 5 Dre song to listen to in your car. The smooth bass guitar line, combined with a steady drum beat and heavy synthesizer for the chorus, alone make it an instant classic.

Definitely one of his most underrated after Lil Ghetto Boy.

Annoyed that only three songs from The Chronic are in the top 10. If I could, I would remove I Need a Doctor and replace it with Lyrical Gangbang. There are a lot of great songs on The Chronic, but then again, all his albums are good.

My favorite song by Dre. The beat is one of the best I've ever heard, and the lyrics are straight-up gangsta'.

10 Xxplosive

You kidding me? Forget best Dr. Dre songs, this is the best song of all time!

Such a good, chill, almost psychedelic track.

The Contenders
11 Deep Cover

It should be there in the top ten songs list.
#2 position.
One of the best songs by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
I love its beats and style.

As good as Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang. Snoop killed this song.
"6:45 was the time on the clock
When me and my homies...

Great song by Dr. Dre. He straight murdered this song.

12 Keep Their Heads Ringing

The pure definition of gangsta rap, there has never been a beat nor a flow as smooth as it is on this joint. 20 years later, it still sounds as good as the first time I heard it. Dre at his finest, a close second to "Nothing but a G Thang."

The beat on this song is just straight ridiculous!

Such blasted memories. Thanks, Dre!

13 The Watcher

Sick beat, spot on lyrics. Fresh songs from the 2001 album that prolonged the gangsta rap scene which almost died with the deaths of Tupac and Biggie.

The lyrics are simply great, and the rhymes flow with the beat.

The most underrated song from Dre. One of the best beats and lyrics.

14 F*** the Police
15 Guilty Conscience

I agree with most of the top 10, but this song has to be up there too. Eminem and Dre are both great and it's just a great song overall.

I love this type of rapping. It's really cool and needs another video like this one!

Dude, why is this #17? This song is one of the best. Not THE best, but definitely not #17.

16 Lil' Ghetto Boy

You know Dr. Dre is a good producer and such a good rapper with a good connection when he can use a sample of Donny Hathaway in a song and make it so masterful!

It's his most meaningful song, and the flute sample is amazing!

17 Natural Born Killaz

A very intense, scary song. Not for the faint of heart, but brilliant through shock.

18 Kush

Love the beats. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg sounded incredible together, and Akon tied it all together. It was an awesome song, and I love it. I'm so surprised that it isn't #1 or at least #3.

One of Dre's best songs. I'm not saying it should be in the top 5 or anything, but Dre, Snoop, and Akon are all really good and it deserves a top 10 spot.

Love the beat, amazing song, just like Dr. Dre! You can't find any better of a song. It is just so great it's insane!

19 Crack a Bottle

Awesome song, nice lyrics, nice beat. What else can I say? I love this song.

20 Bitch Please II

Beats so dope, and Eminem's verse paying homage to Snoop from the original is hilarious.

21 F**k You
22 Express Yourself

Awesome song with a beat sampled from Charles Wright, who originally wrote this dope beat. This song has a funky, free-flowing beat that I can't get enough of. Should be higher on the list.

Express Yourself is awesome. It is so smooth and jazzy. Dre rapping some very clever lyrics while the beat plays is great!

This one should at least be in the top 10. It was the song that put Dre on the map.

23 Old Time's Sake

It's technically an Eminem song, but awesome nonetheless.

Great Eminem and Dre collaboration that is reminiscent of Forgot About Dre.

24 Alwayz Into Somethin'

Dope song. Ohio Players loop rides well with Impeach the President.

Great song. I first heard it on Grand Theft Auto V.

25 Chin Check

How can a song like Chin Check be so low rated? It's an N.W.A. song. It should have a higher position.
