Top 10 Greatest Electronic Artists

The Contenders: Page 5

81 Savant

One of the first Techno artist I've ever heard and his first song I heard by him was melody circus and it still remains my favorite!

One of the most underrated electronic artists. A true talent. don't believe me. Listen to alchemist, Elephant or F nexus to see for yourself. - hurrhurrman

82 I See Stars I See Stars

I'm not sure these guys should be classified as electronic, but they're incredible if you like the hardcore stuff.

83 Squarepusher

Squarepusher should be top 5. He has over 15 albums starting in 1996. Most these other guys were still watching cartoons. Programming wizard, not just repeating loop after loop after loop.. Seriously all, this list has no merit.

Experimental D'n'B mixed with jazz occasionally with some wild bass playing thrown in. Squarepusher is awesome.

84 Martin Garrix Martin Garrix

#210? Really? Martin should at least be #5.

Why is he so low he is the best

He is one of the best

He is the best and youngest dj who is reaching high spots in djmag

86 Venetian Snares
87 Tristam & Braken Tristam & Braken

These are actually individual artists but when they come together, they make really awesome music. Songs like Flight and Frame of Mind are good examples of their awesome work.

I'm not really a big fan of Frame of mind, but I do like once again, I remember, and till its over. - Nick-brick8

Tristam is the bomb

88 The Orb

Latest album is great and a return to form.

89 Celldweller

88th place? I know how the voting system works, but this guy honestly deserves a way higher spot. His production skills are godlike. - wrests

My favourite musician. I've listened to Muse, Deadmau5e, Pendulum, Prodigy, Owl City, Linkin Park, a little Skrillex, and I do not understand how most of these are higher on the list, enough about that.
Celldweller is fantastic at mixing genres, and the focus of his music seems to be mostly electronic rock, the music is emotional, tuneful, creative, fantastic production values and inspiring.
If you like electronic rock, you could do a lot worse than looking him up!

Insanely good at making electronic music with orcestrial elements and du step. Amazing singer you have to check him out.

90 Alesso

This guy translate music into gold!

91 DJ Nebir
92 Kashiwa Daisuke

He hasn't got a comment so I thought id add one for him/her...

93 World's End Girlfriend
94 Major Lazer
95 Röyksopp

Get them into the top 10! Their music is far too creative and inspirational to carry on being overlooked the way it is. - Entranced98

These guys have a warmth in their music that is hard to find in the fjords of Norway

Definitely underrated. Worth a listen by far --especially their album: Melody AM

Has it all to make it waay ahead in the list... Definitely underrated

96 Vangelis Vangelis Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou, known professionally as Vangelis, is a Greek composer of electronic, progressive, ambient, jazz, and orchestral music.

Vangelis should be number one! He won an Academy Award for "Chariots of Fire" also he did the Music for "Blade Runner" Also his song went to number one!

Vangelis, he's my man! His concerts are awesome backed by full orchestra and singers, He's the best composer ever!

There is no greater composer than Vangelis his concerts are out of this world he is backed up by singers and a full orchestra!

One of the true pioneers and major influences of this genre. # 90? I don't think so.

97 Tangerine Dream

Tangerine Dream 40 behind Skrillex and Deadmau5, come on people?! Skrillex and mau5 may be popular, but if you look at the musicality and production quality Aphex Twin and Tangerine Dream are light years ahead of the artists today. AFX and TD were musical pioneers and engineers who spent countless hours crafting their own electronic instruments and coercing music out of them. Skrillex and Deadmau5 are just two guys sitting behind a computer who happen to be turning the charts, yeah they're talented, but their not bloody pioneers. It's like comparing Michael Bay to Stanley Kubrick.

If I had one album to take with me on a deserted island, it would be Ricochet by Tangerine Dream.

Been around for years and still cutting edge!

Should be top 3! Go back and listen to Phaedra and Rubycon, albums released in the mid-70's, before Skrillex and Deadmau5 were even born. This is why we have YouTube - so you can listen to music from ALL eras and hear where todays artists came from. So much more influential than half the top ten on this list. Seriously.

98 Tristam Tristam

He deserves to be in the top ten. He portrays his true feelings and follows his heart rather than money, in addition he also puts a lot of effort into his music.

I mean this guys a legend

99 009 Sound System

Although many will disagree because "With a Spirit" is what people have dubbed the 'YouTube's national anthem' because it's constantly played as a default song, I believe their music really lifts the soul :) Definitely deserves a higher spot on this list!
