Best Extreme Metal Songs of All Time
Nord666 Death Metal, Black Metal, Thrash Metal and Grindcore (in a way). No Melodic stuffs, no traditional Heavy Metal etc.The Top Ten

Wow, how can I deny Slayer's awesomeness. All hail Lombardo, the godfather of drums, he got magic hands, no doubt. - Nord666
Great song I'm surprised no freezing moon by mayhem. oh well.
Meshuggah, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Bathory (newer)? Really? This started the entire wave of it all!

As a representative to this vote, I want you all to know that Death pioneered the Death metal genre during mid to late 80's thinking Death's place in number 3 maybe also good but Death at least deserves to be here (not to be overwhelmed by incoming bands in this list) Lack of Comprehension is one of their heaviest songs (or maybe of Extreme metal genre). RIP Chuck Shuldiner. Death influenced many Death metal bands.
Technical old school death metal with jazz influences, just beautiful...and brutal.

Honestly sounds just like raining blood
This Song Just Blows My Mind
I like when the drums come in after the guitar breakdown. Sounds like a machine gun.
The most brutal and heavy song of ALL TIME

It isn't extreme metal

This is just the perfect Black Metal song. Personally, I prefer Lamb of God (which is not in this list) but this song is absolutely epic
It was hard to choose, but I think Darkthrone deserve the crown! - Nord666
The riff...by Odin almighty...the riff!
Ehh, I like Darkthrone and all, but I don't particularly care for this track. - ryanrimmel

Killer song!

Not a bad song but #3? Overrated. - GREYBOYY
His voice! Oh, that was the craziest voice I've ever heard!
The guitar was INSANE! - Nord666

A perfect song for this list. - Nord666
The Contenders

Amazing song-- and heavy as balls. Chorus always catches me lol

There are so many things wrong with this. I can't stop laughing. - ryanrimmel
When I first heard this album my mind was blown by the music. The vocals were filled with emotion but at the same time, low, dark, and with an eerie feel. Kind of like the sound a horse makes. The guitar work is very basic and someone playing for a week can play the songs, but that is the genius behind it. It creates a very chaotic atmosphere when there is no musicianship. The drums were as generic as could be, but there was reason behind it. The generic drums that might as well have just been a drum machine, made a satanic atmosphere that made the music delve into an entirely new level a heaviness I have never heard before.
Nickelback is a super satanic Black Metal band! They are better and more underground than those posers Mayhem and Gorgoroth! *sarcasm* - SirSkeletorThe3rd
Nicleback super satanic black metal band alive, u have to be the dumbest idiot on the planet, they are a talentless industrial band period.

The most brutal song ever by Chuck. That intro was a killer! - Nord666
The Sadistic drums on this song makes me psychopath. - GREYBOYY

Fantastic riffs, eerie lyrics, amazingly played and sung...makes for a song simultaneously horrific and addictive.
With dead 💀 On vocals there got my vote!

I'm not sure if this song fits the criteria of this list but I strongly believe this is one of the BEST Black Metal song I've ever heard.
Quorthon was epic with his guitars..R.I.P.
Wow surprised this isn't number one although well known it's just so technical the vocals are even more extreme and technical than most.
Although unconventional, this song kills it.

Kurt Cobain's favorite song.
THIS SONG WAS NUMBER 8 A FEW WEEKS AGO.
IN ONE DAY, DROPPED TO THE NUMBER IS NOW.
Is this called reallibility?

Amazing composition, the vocalist ate the dictionary I think, laugh out loud. - Nord666

The vocalist is an alien! Euronymous and Vikernes the victim and the murderer played together and Hellhammer was awesome as always. - Nord666
Legendary song when Megadeth were extreme metal.

Probably the fastest Deicide riffs! - Nord666

Well, guys, this is Cannibal Corpse at their best! Chris Barnes kills it and Paul played high profile.
So ya. - Nord666
Crazy song but still makes me to listen to it. - GREYBOYY
Nickelback is on this list? - ryanrimmel

This list is weird

So wait, there's countless Slipknot and other non extreme metal songs but no Under a Funeral Moon by Darkthrone? No Katharinas Bortgang by Gorgoroth? No Life Eternal by Mayhem? Wow
hail sadam

The heaviest song by the heaviest band, absolutely intense and extreme. If this isn't brutal I don't know what is.
