Top Ten Best Family Movies
I love Marvel's The Avengers. Great movie. It has good dialogue, really awesome action sequences, a great premise, and a spectacular villain. I think that may be the first time I've ever said "spectacular" and "villain" consecutively, but it's true. It's PG-13, so when I first watched it, I was wondering just how "family" it was going to be, but it turned out to be really relatively clean and non-violent, but just enough violence to keep it interesting. I respect that quality in movies. All-in-all, I thought it was a great movie, really entertaining, and it is most definitely one-hundred worth seeing.
Um what is Forrest doing ahead of Earth's Mightiest Heroes?
To quote Iron Man; "Let's do a headcount here, a demigod, a super soldier, a man with breathtaking anger management issues, a couple of master assassins and you big fella, you managed to piss off every single one of them".
Let's do a head count here; Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Clark Gregg, Samuel L Jackson and Scarlett Johanson as a super team saving the Earth from aliens. Much more family appealing than Tom Hanks going, to quote Tropic Thunder, full retard.
This has everything you want in a family film; heroes, villains, wisecracking one-liners, memorable scenes, an all-star cast and one huge spectacular third act battle, this one taking place in New York.

All you need for a family film is Robert Downey Jr's witty charismatic portrayal of Iron Man saving the world not baby animals.
Iron Man doesn't need animation or songs to be entertaining. All it needs is witty one liners and awe inspiring action scenes. Iron Man has plenty.
Now we're talking. This is where the entire MCU all started. This changed family viewing in a cinema in a big way. Robert Downey Jr's big comeback cemented him as the Marvel legend he is today.
Sorry but why is some stupid lion and stupid deer ahead of Iron Man? Iron Man appeals to a wider audience than the likes of Bambi.
I wouldn't call it a family movie. It has swearing and blood. I'd say tweens and up, though I adore this movie (I think Spielberg's only truely family movie is BFG).
Spielberg sure is a family man with his sentimentality.
The Worm-Guys are funny little scene stealers in this one.
Robert Downey jr returns as the billionaire superhero Iron Man

As family musicals go it's not up there with Scrooge or Sunshine on Leith in terms of subtlety but then very few are.
