Best Female Belters

The Top Ten Best Female Belters

1 Barbra Streisand Barbara Joan Streisand, known professionally as Barbra Streisand, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and filmmaker.

I was really impressed by the first time to listen to "Somewhere". Her voice technique is amazing, approximately perfect, her rhythm is crystal clear, pure and angelic. Even though, it is not dramatic and resonance like Whitney's and she can't use whistle like Mariah Carey, her musical technique is the best. Every note is controlled perfectly. Her belting is long, powerful and somewhat resonance, it's not annoying like Christina (she is good but always slaying, growling her voice and does not have a proper technique). If you like listening belting songs, why don't try to listen to the endings of two these songs: "Somewhere" and "A piece of sky".

She is the best. One of the most popular belting songs of all time is "Don't Rain On My Parade" from Funny Girl BY BARBRA STREISAND She is a legend and will always be one of my biggest inspirations in my performances. I doubt she reads these but-"Thank you, Barbra. Thank you for being the legend you are and inspiring so many people, especially me. Your work in all performances, not just belting, is truly incredible. I feel blessed to have the natural belting voice I have and I hope to inspire others one day. Thank you. From all of us who love you and who have been inspired by you."

Listen to her songs, for crying out loud! Don't Rain On My Parade is one of the most popular belting sings of all time and it's HER song. SHE is amazing. She definitely deserves to be #1 even though Whitney is good. Barbra is my inspiration and I am a mezzo belter in my theater organization. And I can belt like nobody's business. Thank you Barbra for inspiring me. You all need to witness her amazing talent.

Undoubtedly, Barbra Streisand is the best female belter. Her belts are effortlessly executed without any sign of struggle or irk, and she can belt simultaneously and beautifully. Celine Dion, another prolific belter, was significantly influenced by Streisand.

2 Whitney Houston Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American singer, actress, producer, and model. In 2009, Guinness World Records cited her as the most awarded female act of all time. Houston is one of pop music's best-selling music artists of all-time, with an estimated 170–200 more.

Big voice with extremely relaxed midbelts. No pushing whatsoever

Her voice is a gift from god, to be forever cherished and remembered for its dazzling grace. She was as iconic of a person as a she was a singer. She was beautiful, smart and intelligent. I will always love her!

I love her! She's been my idol forever

3 So Hyang

No sense on even commenting. Most of you have never heard of her. Google her and see for yourself. Angelic, masterful, powerful, humble and under appreciated.

Bruh. Her range is insane. She can support a mixed belt up to C#6. Whitney is pretty much the agreed-upon best singer of all time (and rightly so), but So Hyang has the best belting ability of anyone I've ever seen. She's a Korean folk singer. Check her out on YouTube.

Truly amazing in ever sense of the word. Inside and out.

Powerful, resonant, supported belts extending into the 6th octave. Beautiful, bright and ringing head voice. Spectacular musicality and stamina. Her transitions between registers are seamless, earning her the moniker of the 'Korean Mariah Carey'.

4 Celine Dion Céline Marie Claudette Dion is a Canadian singer and businesswoman. She is best known for her song "My Heart Will Go On", which is the main theme of the 1997 film Titanic, which was the first film to gross $1 billion at the box office.

My heart will go on for the best female belter. Just listen to one of her songs. You'll immediately understand. She rocks! Love you, Celine!

Very talented and beautiful lady. Even though I believe she is not as good as some of the others lower on this list, I still love her beautiful rich tone and "Mary Poppins-esque" crystal clear voice.

Belts sound very effortless with no pushing

The ASIA'S SONGBIRD and the only FILIPINO singer I know who could belt and sustain a B5 note (The note B on the fifth octave of the piano). No one else can do that except Regine... Therefore, she's #1

Regime is very successful but putting that aside, she is the best belter you could imagine... Watch her on YouTube and discover it yourself. No kidding.

She IS Elphaba and Elphaba is one of the biggest belting roles of all time! She can belt like nobody's business. She has a stunning voice that gives you goosebumps just listening to it. 2008-2011 Charice slays my entire existence. She didn't have the range of Regine or the mastery of head voice like Whitney, but her belts were the best. Extremely powerful and resonant and with unique tone. I wish she had been more popular because I believe she was one of the best singers to grace the 21st century.

Charice is amazing and should be way higher on this list! She can sing super high notes so effortlessly. She can nail all the Whitney Houston and Celine Dion songs. If you've heard her sing "All By Myself", you'd know she's awesome.

-All By Myself
-One Moment in Time
-Unbreak My Heart

Charice wins. that's all there is to it. She has such a powerful voice. Maybe not crazy belting range like Sohyang (i've heard charice belt up to A5) or mastery over head voice like Whitney, but since we're just talking belting, Charice wins.

Her belts are filled with so much emotions that even a small girl will cry out in tears maybe a little exaggeration there but its kinda true her belts are phenomenal.

I wouldn't call Demi a true belter but her voice is still fantastic and I adore her music.
