Cher has always had a very unique voice. Though, most people would not agree. Female signers are expected to have soft and high pitch voices but not Cher. What makes Cher different is that she has a strong, deep low and sexy voice of all time. Cher can rock, pop, the blues, she can disco and even country, not very many can do that.
Cher delivered hit after hit in the 70s... Gypsies Tramps & Thieves, Dark Lady, Half Breed, The Way Of Love, Take Me Home... Definitely should be in the top 10!
A true legend with a unique, powerful voice!
Cher deserves much higher than this.
Love her distinctive style!
She is awesome how she survives
A rare quality and strong voice. She is unique. Listen to Rita's early albums to the popular ones. Sultry, and easy to the ear.
Rita's live version of "Superstar" on the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour must rank as one of the great classics of 60's rock music.
She had so much attitude in her voice, also very poetic.
An intimate sound to her voice and great songs make her one of the best singer song writers of the 70's. She's still going strong today, and lots of people have covered her songs.
She had the largest range in her voice.
To me that sweet woman Nicolette Larson will always be in my heart
Never got enough credit for how awesome she was as a person, song writer and singerV 1 Comment

...and that slide guitar! She's a tiny red-headed spit fire
Just the best... Style, sexy, fits rock country and blues.
"MY GIRL"! WE LOVE YOU BONNIE HERE IN DETROIT & IN THE HOOD! MY brother & I think & KNOW "your the bomb"! Soul, Style, Rythmn & Blues a OVERLOOKED UNDER RATED TALENT ACROSS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. GIVE MORE OF BONNIE!
In the sixties she was less popular ( Gladys Knight and the pips ) than Diana Ross with the supremes, but she is a thousands time better vocalist than Diana Ross. She was really underrated back then.
Come on. This is your #1. Best voice and live performer ever! You're the best thing that ever happened to me can't be matched by anyone.
Beautiful voice! Wonderful melody- great performer!
She does a few notes in a style I don't think ANYONE can duplicate.
A combination of beautiful face and beautiful voice. Will be the lead singer in the Angel's choir when she goes to the Grand Ole Oprah in the sky. Never had a solid number one hit but her endurance spanning 5 decades singing duets with the most powerful singers makes her my choice as best female singer.
Great and unique in style, poise, grace. Legendary.
She has really come into her own with her self penned later work. The greatest voice in C&W.
Her rasp, hands down one of the best, like Stevie Nicks
