Best Glam Rock Songs

The Top Ten
1 Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie
2 All the Young Dudes - Mott the Hoople
3 Ballroom Blitz - The Sweet

Great song. And unlike most of the songs listed here, it's actually a glam rock song.

Yes should be number 1 in the glam rock stakes

4 Ride a White Swan - T. Rex
5 Gudbuy T' Jane - Slade
6 This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us - Sparks
7 Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
8 Sweet Child O'Mine - Guns N' Roses
9 Get It on (Bang a Gong) - T. Rex

Should be number one (along with twentieth century boy, rebel rebel, and Ziggy stardust) would be no glam without this song (and Ride a White Swan)

First of the great glam rock songs!

10 Rebel Rebel - David Bowie
The Contenders
11 Space Oddity - David Bowie
12 You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi

This list is positively ridiculous. Seven out of the top ten songs are obviously not glam rock. Of the remaining three, two are debatable.

Whoever made it was terribly misinformed about what "glam rock" entails.

13 Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
14 Cum On Feel the Noize - Slade
15 Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi
16 We Will Rock You - Queen
17 Twentieth Century Boy - T. Rex
18 Far Far Away - Slade
19 Personality Crisis - New York Dolls
20 Fox On the Run - The Sweet
21 Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard
22 Detroit Rock City - Kiss
23 Mama Weer All Crazee Now - Slade

Arguably the greatest glam rock song of all time, definitely deserved the number one spot in the UK in 1972. If they were bigger in the USA, Slade would be a lot more well respected. Also, what the hell, many of these songs are glam metal, not glam rock, and many others are hard rock, prog rock, psychodelic rock or heavy metal. The only true glam rock song in the top ten is the great ball room blitz by Sweet, yes those other songs are very good, but come on - Slade refernce- they are not glam rock.

24 Killer Queen - Queen
25 Roll Away the Stone - Mott the Hoople
