Best HeadphonesSound, Durability, Comfort, Design, & more- what's the best?
The Top Ten
With an analytical sound signature, the sennheisr HD 800's are quite possibly one of the best headphones you can buy as premium and elite headphones. Analytical meaning flat with slight emphasis on treble for the best detail and natural sound. Bass I accurate and the mids are rich and doesn't sound sucked out like the #2 of this list the M50s"(which in my opinion are crap, but I hate V-shaped sounds anyway so I'm a little biased :P) as an audiophile I can see that some don't know what they are talking about with their comments on this lol. But some are correct. Beats don't compare lmao but why would you compare those to the HD 800s, I would say maybe the STAX Sr009 or the AKG K812. Definitely not Beats. (I personally prefer AKG but these are slightly less expensive) all in a these are fantastic headphones, just make sure you have an amp to play these back lol
Beats are not everything in songs details are important equally, beats audio only gives bass no detail, all those who voted for beats don't listen to music they only listen to bass because may be they think its cool, ITS NOT, sennheiser has undisputed way of making great headphones, beats can never come even closer, senn gives bass and treble in corret levels, that's the best part!
They are just amazing
But they are overpriced
Bottom line, I find them better than Beats, because beats brake a bit to easily and I prefer the design from the HD-800 and it's sound is just out of this world.
So if your looking for something good at a good price, than take the Beats, but if you've got the money, Sennheiser is the way to go. they really are outstanding.
WHy does everyone say beats are the best? They are overprice, flimsy, and sound like crap... These HD-800's are so amazing. The soundstage is unbelievable. The high's the mid's and the bass sound absolutely amazing... unlike the beats, the bass is actually good. Beats just have a lot of it, doesn't mean its good quality.
Like the sound of them, I'm a Beats guy, Studios because they come in a wide variety of colours and cause they're a nice comfortable fit plus they're lightweight, but the cons are definitely batteries and they feel sort of flimsy in hand other than that they're a great headphone. I like the Beats line, GREAT marketing. I'd also say the Mixrs are a nice headphone too, better in hand feel, yet still lightweight, then again it comes down to preference since Studios are over ear and Mixrs on ear. Beats Studio is great though!
I have them sense a year ago. They r awesome, powerful bass, and loud. Worst part is people can still hear the sound when I, m around so that's not cool. When you hear rap music in school, you can get in trouble! Wish that is not loud because I want to feel the bass. Still awesome!
I love Beats the sound is electrifying. The headphones are really flexible so you can fold the Beats. They look totally awesome Beats is number 1
Powerful bass. A really great headphone set that gives you the feel of the music. I don't like the price tag, but they're the best I've heard.
I have a pair myself and they are incredible. They are one of the best sounding wireless headphones that you can get and they are really comfortable as well and easy to use. They are the best headphones I've ever had.
Honestly the best headphones I have had the enjoyment of having on my head.
Absolutely incredible with an amp. I highly recommend them for anyone that loves their bass without distortion of highs.
These are an awesome pair of profesional headphones, with incredible sound, but their true potential unleashes with an amplyfier. Once the music starts, you can't hear anything else. I highly recommend them
Beats are dreadful compared to these. Any audiophile can tell that these are superior headphones. It's grim that some people think otherwise. Similar headphones such as Ultrasone are alsogreat.
Beats studio are so overrated, nothing beats Bose. Especially there surround sound
Super comfortable, great sound, the cancelling is amazing they're not overrated
It is amazing. Better than the one by high school dropout.
They are better
As a music lover, I have to say that these headphones are the best sounding, although the sennheiser hd8000s are also quite good. I think it should be a crime that beats are second on this list. I can't even listen to beats for thirty seconds without getting a headache. In my opinion, beats are just overpriced (albeit stylish) pieces of trash.
These are the best headphones on the market period. You really do get what you pay for...
Grado's are great. Sr60i's should be on this list. Beats are garbage
Don't let the big price scare you- it's worth it. They're amazing.
Holy schintzel how is this at #10? They're the best people (except for the HD-800's
These are my babies
they are worth paying $399
These headphones wreck house compared to the studios. They have a better and more solid build rather than the beats plastic build and the sound quality is crisp all around rather than the beats that have a very muddy and distorted sound to them. Plus the aviator are half the price!
These r good when compare to others... Thank q
They come free with the iPod, So of course they're the best for your $ lol
No! just no! these are horrible
Really a great price for what it delivers.
The sound quality is amazing, Thumping bass, and let's face it. Super cushioned ear cups makes them really comfortable
I make my own music, and I've seen a lot of what's in, and these are the greatest.
Awesome headphones. They are virtual 7.1 so they're not designed for music, but gaming-wise awesome! An explosion sounds real the way the drivers have been engineered. These cannot compete with Beats in the music scheme, so that's why I also recommend the Razer Electras.
I have both these and the beats studios the original black ones. I got these for 120$ on amazon and they look sick as jell! The wire is made of Kevlar and it's extremely well made. Sure the beats have a little more bass, but they also cost me twice as much for scrappy everything else. Go with these
If beats are up there just because they have good bass! Then these should be above beats!
Durable and great sounding
I'm surprised this hasn't been added. It's quite literally the best set of headphones money can buy, since it's for monitoring, so if you're making music, this will reveal any and all compositing problems, on top of the awesome sound quality when listening to well composited music. People who vote Beats just get them because they want to follow the trend. Bose is just overmarketed, and they use a ton of custom equalizers and only let you try 2 songs at their demos. They're really not that good. Besides SR-009s, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Grado, Beyerdynamic, and a few other brands make real headphones for true audiophiles.
What the heck?!?! This should be #1 accept maybe the hd-90's. Just based on the price people should know this is as good as it gets. 5000$!. Why is beats #2?!?!?! Why can't people be more educated...
These are literally the best headphones I have experienced so far, in all aspects. Nothing beats them, not even the HD800 and not even some $1000+ headphones I have tried. The HD25 are about $170. Very solid build quality, all parts individually replaceable including the cable (! ), solid and sturdy plug that's not gonna break easily. Very thick and sturdy steel wires.
They sound extremely detailed and solid across the whole spectrum, no resonances, no annoying coloration of sound, all unlike in the beats. Very lush and relaxed treble, solid and accurate bass. Midrange is fantastic too, vocals sound very real.
Even the $400 beats pro and the beats studio look, sound and feel like a cheap toy compared to these.
I mean, just look at the cable and the plug of the beats. It's so thin it's a joke.
Forget beats or anything else over $250. Choose the HD25, you will love it!
They are just awesome! They come in awesome designs and are so comfortable!
Turtle beaches are the ultimate BOMB, these head pumping rock style gaming headphones will blast ALL noise into your eardrums. With the added mic to their newest product is great over Skype too, but again... These are just for gaming for music I'm Beats all the way, but I have both so I don't have to worry.
The ER-4P are THE king of ALL headphones. Sound is completely neutral and flat, very spacious and incredibly realistic. No exaggerated bass or treble. Plus they look cool, are incredibly comfy and nicely block all noise around you. Even the HD800 look and sound like a joke in comparison!
