Top 10 Best Imagine Dragons Songs

With their exhilarating fusion of rock, pop, and electronic vibes, Imagine Dragons has stolen our hearts and ears. Their lyrical depth and unforgettable hooks are so iconic, they've made their way into the soundtracks of our favorite movies, the backdrops of hit TV shows, and even the commercials we can't skip.
The Top Ten
1 Demons

Great song. It has everything you'd expect in an Imagine Dragons masterpiece: it's got a good rhythm that follows the usual Night Visions slow and sad melody. It uses a variety of interesting sounds to back up the melody with quality harmony. The bells work perfectly with the sad tune, and the buildup can be heard throughout the music until it is released during the chorus. At that point, the violin and bells sound the best in harmony, working to back up the dramatic melody. The lyrics were well-written and obviously took a lot of effort to come up with. The vocals of Dan Reynolds do a good job matching the style of this song. Number 1, of course!

2 Radioactive

This is a great song. I don't normally like music that's not dubstep, rock, or drum and bass, but this blew my mind! My friend was bugging me about listening to pop music, so I found this version by Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix. Trust me, this version is WAY better.

This song gives me goosebumps! I love how it has mild dubstep and an amazing beat! It's my favorite song of the summer.

Imagine Dragons is my favorite band, even higher than Guns N' Roses. I'd have to say Radioactive is my favorite. I'm pretty sure it was the first Imagine Dragons song I listened to. It was the song that led me to all of their other songs. Overall, it's an amazing song, and it's so catchy that you can easily sing along.

Thank you, Imagine Dragons, for releasing this song because it led me to love all of your music! Just listen to this song, will you? And also, don't forget to vote for Radioactive!

3 It's Time

I've mostly given up on new music. However, I remembered this song and some other Imagine Dragons songs and realized that not all new music is bad. The fact that Believer is in the top 10 is a disgrace. It sounds too similar to Natural, and both were overplayed on the radio. However, I personally think this song is the best. It may not be the most iconic, unlike Radioactive and Demons, but it's definitely worthy of third position.

It's Time is a great song. It may be upbeat, but the melody contrasts that with the perfect amount of regular Imagine Dragons' slow melody. It's a great feel-good song, but the instruments just don't sound like a true masterpiece of Imagine Dragons' work. However, it's still a good song that gives fans something other than the regular slow, sad tempo and melody to listen to.

4 Bleeding Out

So perfect. A lot like Radioactive, but better! This band has everything I have been looking for in bands lately. They have a little bit of Coldplay, a little bit of One Republic, some Mumford & Sons, and more. And this song shows it all off.

I love this song because it shows how hard life can be. I just discovered this band two years ago, and I love them! This is probably one of my favorite songs by the Dragons, up there with Hopeless Opus, Gold, Shots, and Ready, Aim, FIRE!

I have really underrated opinions on everything. But this is just a slow, soothing song that captures the feeling of death and dying. Also, Radioactive is overrated trash! (Sorry, it's just a song that doesn't fit in with the rest. Kind of like Friction, but that song is actually good.) This review has stretched into an opinion, so you'd better go listen to the song right now!

5 Warriors

Before I listened to Warriors, I didn't know what to do with my life. I heard about this song from my brother once, so I decided to listen to it. From then on, I've never heard a better song. The only thing that might come close to this is Monster.

I honestly think it should be at least #5 or higher. I do understand why there are songs that people think are better. Warriors just makes me feel optimistic, even though there are a lot of happier and brighter songs out there. I mainly don't know why this amazing song makes me so happy.

6 Monster

Beautiful song! Amazing lyrics. The line "If I told you what I was, would you turn your back on me?" is beautiful. It adds emotion to a song tinged with sadness. The line "I've turned into a monster" makes me feel sorry for the guy. It's like Beauty and the Beast. The prince turns into a monster, and if Belle found out what he was, she'd either turn her back on him or understand what he has been through. The beat complements the song, and the lyrics maintain its meaning. If you want to vote on a song, listen to this one before you move on. You may love it as much as I do and vote for it based on its beautiful lines.

7 Believer

Absolutely sensational single just catapulted from the greatest of all the bands, and my utmost favorite, Imagine Dragons. That intensity, emotion, and sheer power give me goosebumps every time I listen to and immerse myself in this song.

This song is a family favorite for my family. My dad blares it in the house all the time, my mom loves it, and my siblings and I all have it downloaded. It has realistic, touching lyrics, a good beat and melody, and a powerful vocalist (good job, Dan Reynolds!). This song should definitely be in the Top Ten. With this song, I'm really looking forward to their new album "Evolve," coming out on June 23rd!

8 On Top of the World

I sympathize with this song so much. When I was younger, I had a hard time smiling. People always said I was frowning when I didn't realize I was. They asked me what was wrong when there was nothing wrong. But now, I feel happy all the time. I think it's because I found my passion. Ever since I started it, I've been a lot happier. I know some people like this a lot, and some people think it's stupid, but I really like Fortnite. Anyway, that's beside the point. This song is really great for when you feel happy. I love how Imagine Dragons have songs for pretty much every emotion.

9 Amsterdam

The song has a great rhythm and some seriously good vocals that are full of emotion. The lyrics are absolutely brilliant. The wordplay between the singer and his mother, brother, and his now ex-lover implies a despairing story without actually stating anything. On top of this abject disappointment is a strong message of hope that is only better because of the negativity that surrounds it.

I love the song very much. I think I loved "Amsterdam" because of this song, and now I'm learning Dutch! I believe this song is related to World War II or something. The lyrics are, "But I won't wait much longer 'cause these walls they're crashing down. No I won't wait much longer 'cause these walls they're crashing down." I think they're talking about the Berlin Wall in Germany. It might be about a German boy who moved to another European country right next to Amsterdam because he is a Jew, just like Anne Frank.

P.S. The Netherlands and Germany are very near each other.

I don't care if you don't agree with my interpretation. I've been dying to share this because I love this song so much. What if I'm right about this?

10 I Bet My Life

This song is now the #1 Imagine Dragons song in my book. It makes me feel high in spirits and puts me in a great mood. I forgot to mention last year that this is now my favorite song from them.

Are you CRAZY?! This song deserves 1st place, or at least 3rd place. The lyrics are well-thought-out and very touching when listening to the song. Plus, the background instrumental and the chorus especially just take this song to even greater heights.

This should most certainly be at least in the top ten, if not the top five. I admit, there are some slightly better songs, but only slightly. Demons deserves its crown, but I Bet My Life should be its right-hand man.

The Contenders
11 Nothing Left to Say / Rocks

I really think that this song should be ranked higher. Songs like these should be listened to carefully. People should listen to more songs by Imagine Dragons other than Radioactive or Demons. I mean, those aren't the only songs they have!

Why is Nothing Left To Say in tenth place? It breaks my heart. This song is so amazing. I first heard it and couldn't stop listening to it. Please listen to this song and vote for it to take a higher place. The lyrics are amazing, but I love the music the best. Please vote for this song!

12 Round and Round

It's like a dream. It's full of emotion and feeling, capturing how someone is trying to find their purpose in life. It breaks away from the same old boring routine that most people follow. Overall, it screams, "Life is short. Live it to the fullest!"

People seem to overlook the lyrics of this song. I consider it one of Imagine Dragons' best works. But then again, their entire album is great, not just this single. The whole album is perfect.

This is my favorite song of all time. I never get tired of it and listen to it constantly. It's really special to me, and I wish more people would listen to it.

13 Whatever It Takes

This one should be higher than 18. With semi-raps as the verses and that guitar solo when they perform it live, I am in love with this song. I know everyone says this for every song, but this really should be at the top of the list.

When they first released this song, I was immediately in love with it. I've been a fan for years now and was very proud to see the measures they took. I do love all of their old songs like Tokyo, Selene, All Eyes, and practically all Night Visions songs, but this is just pure gold on the Evolve album.

It's stuck in my head. I keep playing it over and over again, and I LOVE it. Definitely my favorite. In a list, it would look like this for me:

1. Whatever it Takes (duh)
2. Radioactive
3. Believer
4. Thunder
5. Friction

And that is definitely how it should be.

14 Tiptoe

This song takes a while to grow on you. But after a few listens, you start to like it a lot. The complicated drums add a nice vibe to it. This is a hidden gem from Imagine Dragons. It's my second favorite. Love it.

My favorite! When they play it live, it's funny because at a certain point everyone starts cheering. Now, every time I hear that part, I think of my concert. Anyway, awesome song!

Insane song, Imagine Dragons rock! I have sleepless nights waiting for the new album, guys. This should be number one. It always brings me back good memories. Awesome chorus!

15 Gold

This is easily my all-time favorite Imagine Dragons song, and believe me when I say that this band is my life. The song challenges the traditional ideas of achieving dreams of stardom by confronting the ugly truth of celebrity life and the loss of connection with normal society. It communicates issues such as trust and greed in one hideously addictive and strange rock-heavy offering.

The use of Dan Reynolds and his bandmates screaming and shouting throughout the song gives a certain and chilling tangibility to the real frustration of celebrity life and the issues it brings.

16 Shots

Okay, pretty much all of the songs from Evolve are overrated. Believer, Whatever it Takes, and Thunder are not bad songs by any means, but there are so many better songs that not everyone I know who likes Imagine Dragons knows about. Actually, pretty much none of them do. For example, pretty much all Smoke + Mirrors songs!

My favorite is actually a very close tie between Monster, Warriors, I'm So Sorry, Friction, and Shots. Shots in particular is a ridiculously relatable song that sounds poppy and upbeat but has a sad meaning behind it. It gave me some crazy nostalgia when I listened to it for the first time in five years, and I love it to death.

17 Battle Cry

Now THIS song should be after Radioactive as number 2. I mean, it WAS in Transformers, so what is it doing at number 16? It has a great beat, and I can't stop listening to it!

The beat and eeriness make this a beautiful song. The background vocals are amazing and layered beautifully. I don't know why this isn't in the top ten.

I can't believe this song is at #15. The beat is addictive, and the lyrics are well thought out for the Transformers soundtrack.

18 Natural

Dude, awesome song! I could listen to Imagine Dragons all day, and the minute a new song by them comes out, I'm listening to it. So when Natural came out, I was listening to it non-stop!

Natural is one of the Imagine Dragons songs that Dan didn't put much emotion into. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, though. The transition into the guitar bridge is wonderful. Love it.

Natural is 100 times better than Polaroid, because everyone likes Natural due to its great beat and the song being awesome. Polaroid is boring.

19 Ready Aim Fire

Honestly, if I could, I would vote for everything. But this is definitely a very beloved song to me, so I vote for this one. The rhythm and percussion are absolutely incredible in this song, and the vocals are mystifying, as they are in all of their songs. This is a great song. It's so sad that you have to purchase the whole album to get it, though.

This song makes me feel so... alive. It's got such a unique sound to it, and even though I love all of Imagine Dragons' songs, this is one of their best ever. It has a mood to it that you don't see a lot - angry, tired, but determined. I like it more than Radioactive, and that's a hard song to beat.

20 Thunder

I personally really like this song. It's not just the rhythm but the meaning behind it. Listen to it and take it in. If you have any dream or goal YOU want to achieve, it's basically telling you to keep persisting. Just like Imagine Dragons wanted to create music and how they were the "lightning before the thunder." Very inspiring.

I like how, in this one, Dan acknowledges everyone who is still in school. This one is a huge hit for everyone and the kind of song that you would play in the car with little kids so they can make fun of that weird voice.

21 Roots

It's a pity not everyone has listened to this song. People really don't know them. When you ask your friend, Who are Imagine Dragons? they say, Those who sang 'Thunder,' 'Radioactive,' 'Believer,' and 'Demon.' They are far more than that.

If any Imagine Dragons fans haven't listened to this song, he/she is not yet their core fan. Because this is their best song, it surely deserves to be number one.

Acting as the perfect lead-in between Smoke + Mirrors and the future of the band, this song deals with how lead singer Dan Reynolds moved on from his depression, as represented within Smoke + Mirrors. Coupled with a beat that would almost feel more in place with a hip-hop song, yet feels more at home here, Roots is one of Imagine Dragons' all-time best!

22 Hear Me

At school, no one knows this song except me, and it's so sad. This song is incredibly in-depth. I can't help but listen to it over and over again all day. I love the lyrics and the music, especially the music. It's catchy, and I think Hear Me deserves a chance to be number one someday. Please listen to it, and you'll see what I mean. Vote for this song. You will make me eternally happy. Hear Me doesn't deserve 13th place. It deserves at least 5th.

Incredibly touching. It's underrated, and listen - can you hear it too? This song is amazing and can help you express yourself through a hard time when you have your walls up. But you still care, and this is really deep.

23 I'm So Sorry

I can't quite comprehend how, with such a brilliant debut album, no one could even be bothered to check out their new album. It barely has 1,000 listens per song (excluding the four singles) on the deluxe edition. This song is easily this album's Bleeding Out, a hidden gem!

This one is great. When you first read the title, you think, "Oh, it's just going to be another one of those dreary love songs." But it's the complete opposite of that. It's a really heavy rock song with an interesting transition from those crashy drums to those piano chords. A big hit for me.

24 Dream

Most people who say they like Imagine Dragons are not true fans. They only know the radio hits. True fans know that even the lesser-known ones are good, such as Dream, which has everything you could ask for: Dan's incredible vocals, eerie falsetto, and screaming. Not to mention the keyboard, which is later joined by loud drums and violin. This is the best Imagine Dragons song.

I don't understand why this song is so low and so underrated. I mean, this is the Demons of Smoke + Mirrors, but with a grandiose feeling added. I've followed them since their early beginnings (I'm not like those who only know Radioactive), and Dream is simply the best song they've made so far. I'm so disappointed they didn't play it live.

25 Who We Are

"It's who we are, doesn't matter if we've gone too far/ Doesn't matter if it's all okay/ doesn't matter if it's not our day." The song is saying that we have to push on. We have to keep moving, never stopping. "We were never welcome here/ we were never welcome here at all," but we keep on doing what needs to be done. It's catchy, has an awesome beat, and the message along with the determined/melancholy mood makes it even better.

Ah, this song is so good! I listened to it 8 times in a row. That's how amazing it is. I'm a HUGE fan of the Hunger Games series, and this song works for it on so many levels. Each time I listen to it, it reminds me of a different character or scenario. It is THE anthem for the victors, especially with the chorus. I loved the music, and the guitar was on point. Dan Reynolds sang it so well. This might be my favorite Imagine Dragons song.
