Best Industrial Bands

The Top Ten

1 Rammstein Rammstein Rammstein is a German Neue Deutsche Härte and Industrial Metal band consisting of Till Lindemann (vocals), Richard Kruspe (guitar), Paul Landers (guitar), Oliver Riedel (electric bass), Christoph Schneider (drums) and Christian Lorenz (keyboard), that formed in 1994 in Berlin . more.

Rammstein will always be the best out of industrial bands. Tool has a lot of non-fans which shouldn't be look at a "should be number one" opinion. To me.. Tool is okay but they have not gotten as much hits as rammstein. Their music even sounds harder live and they have and play a good show. They never do a concert where they don't put on a show and trust me I have seen many YouTube videos of their concerts and participated at their concerts as well. All the money you spend for tickets to see them is worth it. Even if you don't understand a thing they say it's easy to configure the meaning of it through his reaction and it most of the time resembles a word/words in English. They were and still will be my favorite band in general. I don't know why this unwanted trash "kmfdm" is on here.. What kind of band name is that? Hello? Depeche mode has more fans than you an your name is the reason why not one of their real fans will listen to that. Oomph deserves to be at ...more

Rammstein is the real deal! Even as someone who barely understands a word of the German language, the music itself stands alone! Please enjoy this band, for they are the ultimate in all genres of music. Being a Canadian citizen, I have to tolerate the Justin Beiber phenomenon everyday of my life through the media, the radio, the TV... etc! It is disgusting! Rammstein brings me into a world of pure want and enjoyment. They will only get better as the years progress.

Never like metal music at all until I chanced upon Rammstein. Problem with metal music is that those growling, constant swearing, bad singing and loud instruments just make me even more frustrated than stress-relieving. Rammstein is probably the only band that totally changes my perception of metal music and they even did it singing in a language that I do not understand just shows how good they are. Their music have great beats unlike typical metal music which really breaks all language barrier because you can still enjoy them without understanding the lyrics. I also like that their lead singer has this deep, baritone vocal which made him sound more like an opera singer than those typical metal singers who cannot really sing.

If you could get any more industrial, it wouldn't be a band. It'd be a factory. In terms of quality, just watch the music videos. Here is a band that places emotion, effort, double and hidden meanings in their music and videos in comparison to the sports cars and sunglasses that many other bands rely on (mostly outside industrial thankfully).

In regards to Tool, it's progressive metal that, like whisky, requires an acquired taste to get into. Great once you have it.

2 Nine Inch Nails Nine Inch Nails Nine Inch Nails is an American industrial rock band and, founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor in Cleveland, Ohio.

I choose this. Rammstein is second best.

Should be number one

Come on, Trent is behind Rammstein?

One of the most talented music projects who evolved through the ages and had its influence throughout music history.

Every album up to "The Fragile" is filled with state of the art music productions which incorporate strangeness, roughness, sensibility, experimentation, all that in a catchy style. Trent used to be present in every step of production. But since Trent decided to focus on arrangement and made Atticus Ross enter the equation on the production side with the album "With Teeth" (he was first coming as additional production), a slow decay has been sensed by many NIN fans. For now in 2015, "Hesitations Marks" is really the least interesting accomplishment.

3 Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson is an American rock band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Formed in 1989 by frontman Marilyn Manson and Daisy Berkowitz, the group was originally named Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids with their theatrical performances gathering a local cult following in the early 1990s. more.

I don't know what the hell Bullet For My Valentine, A perfect circle or Tool is doing on this list, none of these bands come close to Industrial.
1. Marilyn Manson
2. Rob Zombie
3. Dope - D2Demon

The best!

Antichrist Superstar is the only industrial album in terms of the actual music, but the lyrics in all albums are very industrial, as well as generally brilliant.

Now, This was tricky. I had to choose in between Rammstein and Marilyn Manson. In this case, I chose Manson because Rammstein are already at number 1! If Manson's votes can get him to second, then it'll be perfect!

4 Ministry Ministry Ministry is an American industrial metal band founded by lead singer and only original member Al Jourgensen in 1981. Originally a new wave synthpop outfit, Ministry changed its style to industrial metal in the mid-1980s.

I couldn't live without a Ministry disc in my car. No Ministry, no NIN. Tool are a great band but sure as hell don't belong anywhere near this list, nor do Bullet For My Valentine (Why they're here is an absolute mystery). Ministry, Rammstein, NIN, Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, KMFDM, Stabbing Westward and Front 242 are my picks.

Not easy to choose between NIN, Ministry and Zombie (in his various appearances), but I give the edge to Ministry because...well, I don't know why. Is it good enough to just think they're the best?

I'd have to go with Ministry too. To me, they brought industrial rock to the mainstream... but, that's just me...

5 KMFDM KMFDM KMFDM is an industrial band led by German multi-instrumentalist Sascha Konietzko, who founded the group in 1984 as a performance art project.

I listen to almost all these bands listed on here. The first industrial band I listened to was Marilyn Manson though he really isn't an all round industrial artist. I have never been a big Nine Inch Nails fan. The band that got me started in industrial was Rammstein though they are far from being the best. Rammstein is one of my favorites but I give props to KMFDM. KMFDM has been around longer than Rammstein by 10 years, and has an impressive history. They have released 17 STUDIO ALBUMS! In comparison Rammstein has released only 6. On top of that, KMFDM has released numerous singles and other songs spanning more than 200 SONGS ALTOGETHER! KMFDM has some of the greatest variety of all time. Plus KMFDM has some really cool album art. Being able to stick with a style for as long as they have and to release so much is an accomplishment in itself. Their album artwork has almost become associated with their band and the style is impressive and creative. KMFDM also sports songs not only in ...more

Better than the best, megalomaniacal and harder than the rest.

laugh out loud, there's a comment on Rammsteins vote that says:
"I don't know why this unwanted trash "kmfdm" is on here.. What kind of band name is that? Hello? Depeche mode has more fans than you an your name is the reason why not one of their real fans will listen to that. "

He does know that KMFDMs name doesn't REALLY stand for "Kill Mother F****** Depeche Mode" right?

Ah Rammstein, the novelty industrial band... But never fear REAL industrial fans, because KMFDM will always do what's right.

For one low price, KMFDM can blow your mind, rock your face off and jump-start your heart.

Rammstein,NIN,Ministry and Marilyn Manson are really good artists/bands,but KMFDM should be on #1 damn.

One must distinguish between early KMFDM and recent KMFDM. Prior to their temporary breakup, KMFDM truly stood apart from other industrial groups in their complete disregard of accepted musical norms (i.E., What Do You Know Deutschland), and their desire to genuinely embrace the spirit of industrial rock and counterculture. Not many bands - certainly not ANY ranked above KMFDM on this list - had the guts to do that, as shown by their overwhelming dependence on pop-like music. Other bands may be catchy, accessible, and easy to listen to, but KMFDM and Coil ought to be at the top of this list; anyone who thinks otherwise is simply a fan of pop-industrial.

6 Rob Zombie Rob Zombie Rob Zombie (born Robert Bartleh Cummings) is an American heavy metal musician, film director, screenwriter and film producer. His career launched in 1985 when he formed the heavy metal band White Zombie. Following their breakup, he began a successful solo career. Zombie began directing in the early more.

Been the best for damn near thirty years and always will be. Zombie is king!

Rob Zombie always a king.

Rob is the God of Industrial. Love him always!

Better than Manson.

7 Skinny Puppy Skinny Puppy Skinny Puppy is a Canadian industrial music group, formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1982. The group is widely considered to be one of the founders of the electro-industrial genre.

Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly,
Numb, Controlled Bleeding, Diatribe, etc. Etc. They are true industrial. This is the worst list I have ever seen. Many of the bands on the list are not even close to being industrial!

With no hesitation the should be lie on the top of the list because they are pioneer in this genre and they were the first band to introduce the meaning of weird sounds in music industry and even big Trent Reznor confessed that one of his songs (down in it) is an inspiration comes from the Skinny puppy's song called Dig it. another point in this list that is ridiculous is that the great big Gary Numan Can be lie at the top of the list not as an Industrial band but as a big inspiration to the other artist in this genre

This is a terrible list. A lot of these bands rn't industrial @ all. They've got tool as #4 which isn't industrial & static x which is just garbage @ #9... I love nin & mm but I would not put them up that high. Skinny puppy should w/o question b @ the top. 2 even put them @ number 5 is an insult. 2 anyone reading this, there is a rare, hard 2 find industrial band (as many are) called "transparent" w/an album called "bomb in the market square"- 1 of the best albums I've ever heard & I've been looking 4 them 4 months on the internet. I can't find them anywhere except on the nin tribute cd's. Y so hard 2 find?! Anyway, if you ever c it, buy it, no matter how much it costs!

It's simple, really. Without Skinny Puppy, there is no Nine Inch Nails or Rammstein. Skinny Puppy's level of genius and talent in this genre of music has never been reached since, and their amazing use of controversial and sometimes disturbing performance art makes them much more interesting than a lot of the bands on this list.

8 Fear Factory Fear Factory Fear Factory is an American heavy metal band that was formed in 1989. During the band's career, it has released nine full-length albums and has evolved through a succession of styles, including industrial metal, death metal, groove metal, and thrash metal.

I'm baffled on how these guys are so far down. They are heavy and dark, yes, but industrial wise, they've got the core down and know what they are doing. Great music, great band, deserves more recognition. - BloodyThunderX

Fear Factory should be in the top 10 they make all the other industrial bands to shame. (sorry) Fear Factory rules m/

These guys are amazing! They have had their ups and downs but they have certainly stood the test of time

These dudes invented industrial metal. What kind of tool even puts Tool in the same genre?

V 14 Comments
9 Static X

Absolute legends in industrial. Like anyone who has ever played games I got into them when I was really young and my love for them grew when I started buying their albums

Static X have taken influence from bands such as Ministry and Prong and have blended in a fuse of Korn influence, however this doesn't automatically make Static X Nu Metal. Their amazing catchy riffs (WDT) and their belly blasting guitar solos (Cannibal) are sure to knock Marilyn Manson's socks off.

So laugh out loud Rammstein fans! Classic Industrial all the way! - metaldude8

Static-X, you ever hear their music? God, their music should be up their next with Nine Inch Nails. They are very good with many songs, best album in my eyes is "Beneath... Between... Beyond... "

INdustrial EVIL DISCO AT ITS BEST!, Amazing like techno meets power metal

10 Depeche Mode Depeche Mode Depeche Mode are an English electronic and synth-pop band formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group's original line-up consisted of Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, Andy Fletcher, and Vince Clarke.

Uh... Depeche Mode aren't industrial.

Depeche. Mode are alternative

Of course they are industrial! You are concentrating on harder rock but DM were pioneers the f this sound back in the 80s and with Violater they have one of the best albums ever. So much narrow margin need comments on here and music snobbery.

Epic band... Top ten for sure...

The Contenders

11 Oomph! Oomph! Oomph! is a German industrial metal band formed in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1989. The band is considered the pioneers of the German Neue Deutsche Härte movement.

As others have said, Oomph! Deserve to be higher up on the list as they have actually inspired a lot of bands on this list, including Rammstein! They may not be as well known as some of the other bands here, but they definitely deserve more recognition. My life wouldn't be the same without Oomph!

Throbbing gristle and newlydeads. Enough said. The problem is that so many others have been influenced by the industrial sound that you can put a lot of people on here who may not actually belong

Oomph! Has inspired many industrial bands in this world

Just because they are the best! Rammstein wouldn't be on top without them, they would not even be in this list!

12 Godflesh Godflesh

Agreed. Godflesh should be in the top 3. That they aren't in the top ten is just indicative.

Wow.. Godflesh isn't in the top 10? Yeah, this is a valid list...

Godflesh after throbbing gristle? Okay this list makes no sense at all. I am done with this poser site. Life's too short.

Should be in top3, unless this list is a joke.

13 Gravity Kills

Gravity Kills is the only industrial band besides Tool and Ministry I can really get into, so I might not be qualified to say that they're the best one ever. Even so, the songs "Drown", "Alive", and "Guilty" had a very profound effect on me when I was a little kid, not least because two of them were in Test Drive Offroad 2 and I played the ... out of that game. Gravity Kills kills it.

Super guilty style

One of my favorite bands ever. They are unique. Still remember the time when I bought MK soundtrack and heard Goodbye. It was like 'holy ..., who are those guys? '. 17 years with their music and I can't get enough of it.

Best industrial band out there. Very versatile, always coming up with something new. Lyrically talented, and right up there with my favorite bands of all time.

14 White Zombie White Zombie White Zombie was an American heavy metal band that formed in 1985. Based in New York City, White Zombie was originally a noise rock band, and was known for its later heavy metal-oriented sound.

Just merge it with rob zombie already. similar sounds - rujudan

Why so low on this list? - christangrant

15 Velvet Acid Christ

The best band EVER! Should be on the first place!

I love industrial music. I like it dark, and electronic. I like noise, and static.

A lot of these bands have influenced the industrial scene, whether or not they can be defined by a genre label is not for me to say. I will say that I consider most, if not all these bands industrial; some of these bands are more so industrial than others.

I found Velvet Acid Christ to be the band I feel I can relate to the most. The music is consistently, richly layered with a dark, electronic sound whilst continuing to vary and grow in each release.

Well rounded band that covers various moods and styles and keeps it fresh with attention to detail and a knack for the technical aspects of production!

VAC has always been a source of inspiration for me personally. I fell in love with the dark and anxious atmosphere the first time one of my friends played me a song called Crushed. Although it's a bit "ifferent" than most, it didn't stop me from listening to the entire discography. VAC has a truly authentic sound and will always be one of my favourite artists.

16 Mushroomhead Mushroomhead Mushroomhead is an American nu metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in 1993 in the Cleveland Warehouse District, the band is known for their avant-garde sound which includes influence from heavy metal, art rock and electro-industrial and their imagery which features masks and costumes as well as more.

This is ridiculous. Number 16? Easily number 1 & it's not even close.

The best industrial band of all time should rank way higher. Mushroomhead has dominated the underground for many years and deserves much better. They work very hard on what they do and are very good live they don't just have the looks they have the good sound to back it up.

Mushroomhead is easily the best industrial band, both thematically and sound wise.

The best. They are the most creative, using rap, metal, industrial and techno to create a sound that Is all their own.

17 Sybreed

Probably the most underrated band ever...

That is in my opinion what Industrial Metal is all about!

Sybreed is a cyber metal band. - ThePierrasse

Brilliant band from Switzerland. The whole Antares album is amazing. - NuMetalManiak

18 Gary Numan & The Tubeway Army

Number 1 - Amazing career over 35 years and still showing us all how it should be done - The energy at the live gigs is phenomenal and keeps on giving - more of Splinter please Mr Numan

GARY! Gary is so amazing. See him live, even better.
I saw him play at the Forum in Melbourne, the acoustics were incredible.

How about the fact that gary is the father of NEW WAVE? Not industrial... Replicas is sooo amazing though

19 Front Line Assembly

They are great. Love their quite unique style. Should be 1st in my opinion.

They should be number one bottom line

... incredible; cannot believe they are missing from the top five ...

20 Filter Filter Filter is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio by singer Richard Patrick and guitarist/programmer Brian Liesegang.

Discovered Filter years ago and haven't heard anything similar to their style since then. Richard Patrick is a god at songwriting, every single song so far just blew me away! Especially the first two albums short bus and title of record will make you love this band!

Filter is another band that should be on here. Richard Patrick from NIN quit and formed Filter which is an Industrial Alternative band. It should be on here and has been influential since the 90s - xaxismusic

Filter still is second to Skinny Puppy, which means they're the second god damn best band!

Glad to see Filter here. Listen to Hey Man Nice Shot or Take A Picture.

21 Combichrist

As much as I LOVE Rammstein, Combichrist has sort of surpassed them in the favorite industrial bands thing. But I still love Rammstein and I always will! Even though I haven't seen them live yet, I see just from watching concert footage of Combichrist just how awesome they are! Their music is just epic. No other industrial band gets my blood pumping like Combi does!

Best live band. They made the rest of the festival look like garbage by comparison.

I think these guys should be at least in the top 3 in my book

Absolutely, the most underrated industrial band I have ever heard. Their music is an 'audio energy pill! "
Its difficult to run or workout to this music without feeling so 'amped, ' that I could either run a 5 minute mile, or end up in the emergency room!

22 Throbbing Gristle Throbbing Gristle Throbbing Gristle were an English music and visual arts group formed in 1976 in Kingston upon Hull. The band comprised Genesis P-Orridge, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and Chris Carter.

Still some of the best work I've ever heard

The First and the only ones.
- Pointdexter

One of the pioneers that created industrial music. Needs to be in the top 5!

Half this list isn't even real industrial. Just rock with synthesizers and edgy lyrics. What is this madness.

23 Celldweller Celldweller Celldweller is a Detroit, Michigan-based electronic rock project by multi-musician Klayton. Klayton creates a hybrid fusion of digital and organic elements: designed soundscapes that take cues from electronic genres like drum and bass, electro, and dubstep, woven together with aggressive rock/metal more.

Oh... All you sad people who have never heard of Celldweller. I feel very sorry for you. As someone who has put "Industrial" to a whole new level that nobody ever got close to, Celldweller should be right up there with Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. Oh, and what is Bullet for my Valentine doing on this list?

Don't know why Maynard is on here with tool and APC as well as bullet (no diss to any off them but not there place) but for celldweller... Clayton is the "new kid on the block" in terms of industrial in my opinion, and this may sound weird but I like to think of him as a younger Trent (NIN) because like NIN its not really a band its one person

Just a truly great band I mean this is a list of truly amazing bands but I gotta vote for celldweller over these huge bands in just some small attempt to get at least one person to look them up. There truly a great band and klayton is a terrific vocalist with some great lyrics worth any ones time to listen to them cannot recommend this band enough.

Celldweller should be higher on the list. Klayton has consistently put out amazing material during his entire career. He is not the "new kid on the block" in terms of industrial music as he began with his project Circle of Dust in the early 90's.

24 Stabbing Westward

I'm in Shame that Stabbing Westward is 15th, this is Haunting Me and So Wrong. What do I Have to do to prove to you this list is Torn Apart? Sometimes it Hurts when music on Television gets all the credit, Save Yourself-listen to Stabbing Westward.

Love this band. They really broke apart at their best.

25 The Birthday Massacre The Birthday Massacre The Birthday Massacre is a Canadian dark wave and synth rock band currently consisting of Chibi (vocals), Rainbow (guitar), Falcore (guitar), Owen (keyboard), Rhim (drums) and Nate Manor (bass), that formed in 1999 (even though the 2016 demo collection "Imagica" dates some tracks back at 1998). more.

Talented group from Toronto. Chibi has a beautiful and ethereal voice, but I wouldn't consider TBM insustrial. Excellent they are, industrial they are not. They're goth if you want an easy label to describe them with.

26 Front 242

There is a reason Front 242 - Headhunter is track #1 on the iTunes Industrial Essentials list. I saw Front 242 live at a small University venue in Stockholm in the late 90's and I couldn't believe how heavy and intense the concert was. They made other "heavy" electronic bands at the time come across like feather-weight players.

C'mon people... who made this list? Frat boys? Front 242 were reigning kings in the industrial world for quite some time! - star242

These guys or Skinny Puppy should be #1! And not just my opinion either. The first few top ranked in this list are not even true industrial bands! This has got to be the worst music list I have ever seen!

cannot believe that the absolutely Kultband Front 242 is not in this List - muetzi

27 Killing Joke Killing Joke Killing Joke are an English rock band formed in October 1978 in Notting Hill, London, England. The original line-up included Jaz Coleman, Paul Ferguson, Geordie Walker and Youth.

Not sure this is their genre but they are an awesome band.

Number 29? Only a few on your top ten come close this band for raw talent. Every album including the orange self titled Killing Joke and after are great albums. Their earlier albums are no slouches either.

How is this 54? I mean, they might not be considered 100% industrial but even so, they are legends of music history and they deserve to be on the top 10 list; maybe not 1# but still near the top!

Killing joke = not industrial

28 Strapping Young Lad Strapping Young Lad Strapping Young Lad was a Canadian extreme metal band formed by Devin Townsend in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1994. The band started as a one-man studio project; Townsend played most of the instruments on the 1995 debut album, Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing. By 1997, he had recruited permanent members; more.

SYL should be at number four instead of Manson.

29 Orgy

Probably the most favourite band of me. Orgy is not only about "Blue monday", they have such good songs. My favourite for example are: Stitches, Fiction, Pure, Grime of the century, Wide awake and dead...

Blue monday the best song

They were great then n check them out now in Julien-K an ever better techno n EBM. They did one of the best covers ever beem made other than Manson covering Soft Cell, Depeche Mode & Eurythmics. Hopefully they get back.

Blue Monday was written by New Order, who did it better.
New Order/ Joy Division are bands that are still very misunderstood at best, and the fact that Orgy were one of those bands that bathed in the reflective glory of other amazing industrial bands that flooded the 90's and late 80's shi*z me off.

30 Powerman 5000

Fantastic Band. Definitely top ten for me.

An all-round amazing band. Great lyrics, great sound, great art, great energy. I love the sci-fi theme too. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

31 Swans

Swans aren't specifically an industrial band, but if you look into their output in the 80s with albums like Filth, Cop, Greed, and Holy Money, you can definitely hear those Industrial sounds that would later be cited as influence by bands like Tool, Godflesh, Earth, Sunn O))), and Neurosis. Incredibly influential, and definitely deserves a higher rating.

32 Deadsy

There pretty good you should to em if you don't know who they are and you should check out there tom sawyer cover by (rush) its awesome

33 My Life with The Thrill Kill Kult

Sex on Wheels is my Mantra. They should be first just because of their crossover to mainstream with this one song. It says a lot when others enjoy your work and they're not even Industrialites

Mostly love their song off The Crow soundtrack but it was bad ass.

Uncle Al always gets it right.

The most killer band that has ever exited... it has everything you need from horror to sleeze... A higher quality of industrial music, it's simply the most satisfying band that has ever existed.

34 Megaherz

One of the most consistent and accomplished groups I've listened to. Their dance metal early on is very comparable to rammstein's and their later material, frankly, is better! They create fantastic atmosphere in their songs and know how to write killer hooks. Flawless.

Megaherz rocks and should definitely be above RAMMSTEIN!

Great... I mean AMAZING! Underrated band.

35 Pitchshifter

They should be in the top 20! I was looking at the list and was disappointed they are lower than so many bands who don't deserve their standing..

Wildly under-rated band. They deserve my tiny little ineffectual vote.

One of the most underrated bands.
They have been around for over twenty years and are still going strong.
The vocalist, J.S. clayden, is simply amazing

36 A Perfect Circle A Perfect Circle A Perfect Circle is an American rock supergroup formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan.

Should be in the top 10. It's one of the best bands ever! Especially since Maynard James Keenan is the vocalist!

I think they should be in the top 10

Amazing band with very epic cinematic surreal music.

37 Eisbrecher Eisbrecher Eisbrecher are a German Neue Deutsche Härte band that consists primarily of Alexander Wesselsky and Noel Pix, with live support from Jürgen Plangger, Rupert Keplinger, Achim Färber.

Icebreaker... er Eisbrecher has some great songs. They can vary between industrial metal and industrial electronic.

So underrated. Megaherz's side project.

Great Band Like it a lot

38 Mechina

kick ass!

39 Nitzer Ebb

'Down On Your Knees' by these guys is the best industrial song EVER!

Should be #1 on the list... No question... Best bass rythyms of any band on the list

ARGH! Are you serious? I only checked this out of curiosity. But the greatest band the world has ever seen, an electro-body-industrial act and they're not top of the list? Agh piss off. is the top full of guitar music? Urghh you people... please please please try 'control I'm here' for industrial dance, 'getting closer' for THE GREATEST INDUSTRIAL TRACK EVER and chrsitknows the whole of 'that total age' for the blueprint. oh and go and clean out your ears.

40 Grendel
41 Holy Cow
42 Big Black
43 Einstürzende Neubauten

The only actual industrial band on this entire list. Keyboards don't make it industrial.

They are possibly the most original band on this list. They were literally industrial in their choice of instruments. They were even an inspiration to Martin Gore.

Can't believe they are not in the top ten! And Manson and rammstein are up there? This is the most true to form for industrial music of all! This and throbbing gristle are the most accurate to the term "industrial"

The true experimental industrial band. Extremely impressive in the sonic diversity achieved in their choice of persuasions and musical expression.

44 Zeromancer

Excuse me... But Bullet for my Valentine is higher than ZMR on an INDUSTRIAL list? This cannot stand.

This band was unique! Check songs like "Dr. Online", Need you like a drug or Send me an Angel.

45 Lindemann Lindemann Lindemann is a German/Swedish industrial metal super-duo featuring lead vocalist Till Lindemann of Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, along with multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren of Swedish death metal band Hypocrisy and industrial metal project PAIN.

Their song Yukon is my favourite.

Skils in pills is the tits

46 Die Krupps

They are the next in timeline (after LAIBACH). They are a great inspiration. In electro with the first years and in Industrial metal with all the other songs after 1990. Quiz Question: Just listen to the fourth song of DK. I (1992) "The dawning of doom" and tell me for which song Rammstein took the same riff (a bit heavier). - derekart

Engler and Dörper durning the last 4 decades have been making industrial noise (Stahlwerksinfonie), industrial metal (IV Paradise Now), industrial synth pop (Entering the Arena), industrial ebm (Machineries of Joy), industrial techno (Germaniac), industrial remixes of metal bands (A Tribute To Metallica). They have been remixed by industrial bands (Volle kraft null acht) and also have made an industrial cross over between the electronic scene and the rock scene (The Final Remixes). And none of the referencies I gave you are their best albums: I, II The Final Option, III Odyssey Of The Mind, The Machinists of Joy, V - Metal Machine Music, Volle Kraft voraus!, etc

Simply: "Too Much (industrial) History"

47 Kraftwerk ? Kraftwerk ? Kraftwerk is a German electronic music band formed by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in 1970 in Düsseldorf. The band was fronted by both Hütter and Schneider until Schneider's departure in 2008.

For 1970's its pretty sweet. Watch some of Kraftwerk's live performances on YouTube and they are really good.

48 Spineshank

The height of callousness was an amazing album, too bad it's not true industrial. I consider spineshank a hardcore-industrial band, the vocals are more hardcore in my humble opinion.

49 Deathstars

Their lead vocalist has really deep, harsh sound that fits the genre perfectly. Tough the first album is forgottable but the second one called Termination Bliss is EPIC. Many compare it with Rammstein and M. Manson. Doing so has to be mentioned that it's sounding is much more complex and mind blowing.
I recommend their music to those who don't understand english well because their lyrics are bad, death-loving, lowering and sardonic.

Love every song, to me not only the best industrial band but also the best band ever...

Just... Real Industrial real illustrated flavor... Just, will hit the ear...

These guys are amazing!
