Top Ten Best James Bond ThemesAlexandr
The Top Ten
I love this song, it is my #1. But I am honestly shocked that it is first. I agree, and am happy to see it at #1, but am just so surprised that I am not the only one who thinks that it belongs up here.
Everyone voted this because they found out a James Bond theme was done by A-ha, whom everyone knows for "Take On Me" and now they know at least another song by them now lolololo trololololololololololololo
The best bond, just about the best movie, plus Norway's finest, you can't lose. - MickDee
I am sooo happy to see this is #1 on the list. It's never at the top of any list. I have always loved this one best. It's from my all-time favourite Bond film, and my first, amazingly. - BKAllmightyV 6 Comments
This should be way higher. I'd place this in the top 3 for sure. There's no way that Madonna deserves a higher spot than Paul McCartney & Wings. - BKAllmighty
Easily the Winner of the List! - Nirmal1991USA
I love this 007 theme. It gets me pumped every time I hear it. The song also gives me nostalgia as well because it reminds me of when I watched the Live And Let Die movie for the first time
Captured an era, sound very early 70's prog while also sounding very Bond. That should be impossible. Although we could do without the reggae bridge. - MickDeeV 11 Comments
You Know My Name is easily the best bond theme, #2 should be the living daylights.
Chris Cornell brought Bond back with a bang. It's a fast paced, gritty song and perfectly set the tone for the Craig era. It acknowledges that this is a character who needs no introduction - we know James Bond, we know he's gonna kick some butt, and even though he has a new face for a new age, he's still the same character and we know we're gonna love him.
Definitely top three material. This song is brilliant in every aspect. Aside from other Bond songs, stands its ground greatly even when listening to it outside of the film. Wasn't aware of Cornell's work, but this song is outstanding.
A-ha's "The Living Daylights" is a good Bond theme song, and so is Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die," but this song is much better than those, and deserves to be #1. Chris Cornell's vocals, the lyrics, and the music matches Bond really well.V 10 Comments
Definitive. Quintessential. No matter what you call it, it should be #1.
Blooming hell man! What are you thinking! Goldfinger is THE James Bond song, it set the bar for all other singers to follow when creating a Bond theme! Horrified that it's not 1!
Rubbish. I was beginning to think by this point this movie is gonna be about gold
I do not actually like the lyrics very much but I get why someone might like them. Happy it's not firstV 5 Comments
This song is amazing!
I know most base this off of song alone but I also think visuals can be very important, which skyfall has the best of
WOW! This is probably one of Adele's best songs. She absolutely blew me away with this song. If you haven't heard this one yet, listen to it.
For me so far this the best james bond song ever, it is just full of emotion. nothing less nothing more-V 8 Comments
This song should be number #1 because Duran Duran said that someone good should do a Bond song and they didn't disappoint since this is the only Bond song that topped the billboard top 100.
By far, the best theme. Today, everybody wants to vote for the newer stuff. The older music was better, they felt like a Bond film.
Man, I love this song! It's the first upbeat and rocky vibe since Wings's Live And Let Die.
This song is very addictive - ThirdwindV 2 Comments
One of my favorites.
Are you kidding me? Number seventeen? Good God.
A shame this isn't higher. - marmalade_skies
This low? seriously? - marmalade_skies
From The Spy Who Loved Me, the best part about this song is how it appears in the movie, with Moore parachuting into the anonymous silhouetted hands. - MickDee
Oh god this is a really beautiful soundtrack!
Why do people like this it's horrible
This song was BORN to accompany The Spy Who Loved Me. It's a beautiful ballad, with its piano and
Carly Simon's rich vocals, it should be at number 3 at leady
It was a toss up between "Diamonds Are Forever" and "License to Kill", but as great as the latter is, 'nobody does it better' than Dame Shirley Bassey. - theOpinionatedOne
I actually prefer this song to Goldfinger. - IronSabbathPriest
I believe this song should be in the top ten list because it's a song think about your life
I like the music
Somebody really voted for this one, only to say this doesn't belong on the list. This is almost as bad as the time Cardi B drugged men but was never arrested. Monty Norman is a great guy for sure and his voice is eccentric. Ha8ters gonna ha8te
I name John Barry one of the greatest composers of all time. - IronSabbathPriest
Guys it's the James Bond main theme of the series. All hail the king
Get lost this doesn't countV 1 Comment
Definite top 5 for me, so underrated. - truckturner
When you hear this song it sends shivers down your spine and when I see the video it's like Gladys Knight hold you in a hand and the any moment she could blow you away this girls got power charm and appeal that you don't believe me just check a career since the early 60s
Gladys brought some much needed glamour back to Bond themes 10 years after Shirley Bassey. - MickDee
It suits the dark tone of the movie wellV 2 Comments
Very stealthy sound and unique compared to other Bond themes
Great music and motion graphics
I like this song!
Goldeneye, I found his weakness...
Goldeneye, he'll do what I please...
Goldeneye, no time for sweetness
A bitter kiss will bring him to his knees!
OH NO! THIS IS TENTH? Watch on YouTube it is better than gold finger by miles
When Tom Jones hit that final note. Damn!
Has anyone noticed the similarities between this and Goldfinger? And I think I'd take Goldfinger
Over this. It just seems better, more vocally strong, and has more to it than this does. Still a good
And so he STRIKES... Like thunnnderrrBAALLLV 1 Comment
This is the one that you don't think you know until you you tube it and realise it is utterly brilliant. - MickDee
Excellent score from the unforgettable master of music, John Barry.
Should be in the top 10 for sure.
I actually really love this song! And the world is not enough is the most underrated films in the Bond series
I do not know why people dislike it. If you like gold finger or thunder all you like this
Best song. Should be no1 without questionV 1 Comment
Easily my favourite with: Louis Armstrong's We Have All The Time In The World and Rita Coolidge's All Time High as a very close second and third. - Britgirl
The first custom built Bond song, this invented may of the Bond song cadences we still hear plus Matt's velvet voice. - MickDee
I like this song a lot. - IronSabbathPriest
THIS SONG WON AN OSCAR... enough said!
This song was actually very good. I dot generally like Sam Smith but this song gained him my respect. It is certainly one of the best visual performances, just- one little itty bitty thing... The falsetto was awesome but I hate falsetto in guys.
Cool song. Cool movie. But it would have been better sung by a female. Just being picky. - supernerd101
Not a Good Bond Song. It should be Forever I Am All Yours By ever AlmerV 2 Comments
I don't get why they rejected it. It would be an amazing theme for "Die Another Day". Nothing against Madonna's theme song though - PowerGirl
Great song and sounds fresh and modern after all these years. Madonna has always been a true innovator
This song has grown on me. It is not as criminally bad as I first believed. And it's creativity. Song is part of torture
WILL EVERYONE STOP CRITICISING THIS SONG?
TerribleV 1 Comment
Oh.. *insert appropriate cuss word here* I intended my vote to go to this song, but the site went crazy and I ended up voting for, For Your Eyes Only! which isn't a bad Bond theme, but not the one I would have chosen. Don't you just hate it when that happens? Argh. - Britgirl
Why is this so low? I love this song! It's so classy!
It's a good song.
YUS THIS SHOULD BE IN THE TOP TENNN!
Good song, should be higher
This was the original theme to Thunderball, but it was better than the Tom Jones theme. Too bad they rejected it.
The filmakers turned it down, but still a great Bond theme despite not being used in the film
