yaygiants16 reviews I'll Show You by Justin Bieberyaygiants16 Out of all the songs on Purpose, I'll Show You is the most meaningful one. Instead of singing about his relationship issues (which frankly no one really cares about that much), Bieber tells us the downside of being in his high position of fame, and how the public expects him to be perfect. This can be relatable to your life, too, because think about the last time you wished someone else could feel your pain, as opposed to assuming you're just being whiny. The first verse says:
"My life is a movie, and everyone's watching
So let's skip to the good parts, and past all the nonsense"
Basically, what he saying is, he's ready to put his past behind him. These lines are ironic, because his life actually was a movie (Believe), and everyone was watching it, and rating it very low. Including me. Anyway, Bieber knows he made mistakes, as he keeps reminding us of them throughout Purpose, but he doesn't want to be known for them. Well, I know one thing, and that's Bieber is greatly known for Baby on top of anything else. Everyone can call that song a mistake, though. So, he will never be free from that, and that makes I'll Show You more sad than it needs to be. Not saying it's a bad thing, though, I love the mood of it.
Bieber also attempts to put himself in the shoes of a person of low position, and not the easy way, as he says:
"I've got to learn things, learn them the hard way
Got to see what it feels like, no matter what they say"
Though, those are not the lines that stand out the most in I'll Show You, the lines that stand out the most are the ones in the chorus:
"Cause life's not easy, I'm not made out of steel
Don't forget that I'm human, don't forget that I'm real"
Getting back to the point, I'll Show You shows us (no pun) Bieber has a heart. A real heart, now, not the one Usher made out of Play Doh back in 2010. Come to think of it, I can still see some of that old heart displayed in his public stunts, but this is still a legitimate song. It made me respect Bieber more, along with the whole Purpose album itself. In case you haven't figured it out yet, yes, I'll Show You is my favorite Justin Bieber song.
Funny: not including Lolly (where he's a featured rapper), I'll Show You is my LEAST favorite Justin Bieber song. I just find it so whiny and first world, and Bieber, one of the worst non-murderers under 30 in the world, lamenting about how people will never know him. He does bring up some good points about fame, but he's the last person who should be trying to sell that. Not even mentioning, his vocals are still extremely thin and the beat is a snoozefest.
When I have Company, What So You Mean, and Love Yourself on the same album (Maria is still better than all of them), yeah, I have no use for I'll Show You. - WonkeyDude98
Now that I think of it, I did see some comments shaming I'll Show You, I just didn't remember if it was you or not. Nevertheless, this song sounds best when played along with the rest of the album, over just a solo listen. I could see how you say the production is uninteresting, compared with Skrillex's other productions. I'll Show You is still a dope track in my book, though. - yaygiants16

And he still thinks his life is worth living. Stupid. - visitor
I would say something like, "Give him a chance", but I think Bieber's at his peak right now. I do agree with you, he is pretty much the prince of stupidity, though, despite what I said about his song. - yaygiants16
I agree with you, this song actually great. As I listen it, Songs make you feel pain of his life - Righteous
Yes, indeed. - yaygiants16
The lyrics of the song seem to mean a lot. The guy's been hated and has been a subject of hate for most people. - visitor
Yep, that's sure enough the truth. - yaygiants16
