The Top Ten
1 It says home is where your heart is, But what a shame, Cause everyones heart doesn't beat the same - Jesus of Suburbia

All of Green Day's songs have this "do what you want and don't let other people's opinions affect you" vibe, and I love it! I feel like it's telling us that it's okay to be different and want something different from life than the people around us.

Green Day has so many inspirational and meaningful lyrics, especially in Jesus of Suburbia, but this is undoubtedly the best line from a Green Day song ever.

This is my all-time favorite. Who didn't cheer when they heard this?

2 It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right, I hope you had the time of your life - Good Riddance (Time of your life)

Green Day is my life, the blood in my veins, and Billie is the love of my life. Hell yeah, Green Day forever!

12 I made a point to burn all of the photographs, she went away and then I took a different path, I remember the face but I can't recall the name, now I wonder how Whatsername has been... - Whatsername

16 With money to burn on a minimum wage, well, i don't give a s*** about the modern age - American Eulogy (Mass Hysteria, Modern World)

This is an extremely powerful line. This line brings back one of the biggest themes in American Idiot. The way our world is depending on technological advances, and that we just need to be able to live how we want to. How society is now is that we all are basically forced to adapt to the modern world. This line is one of the many in American Eulogy that really gives the biggest explanation about nearly the entire album of 21st Century Breakdown.

17 My shadow's the only thing that walks beside me - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

This line touched my deepest heart.

19 Did you try to live on your own? When you burned down the house and home? Did you stand too close to the fire? Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone

This line is the best line Billie ever wrote! Whenever I'm disturbed, this line, in fact, this song, makes me feel like there is someone around me who cares for me. Yeah, this is quite stupid, but Green Day has helped me recover from all the drama of life. They are everything to me!
