133? Pun's lyrics are on the level if not above that of Biggie. This guy should even be above Nirvana, at least.
Wow... Okay... Umm... Who ever put this guy on the list is just as much of a moron as Justin Bieber is. I'm sorry but I don't think he's even a moderately talented lyricist, or artist for that matter. He isn't a good singer, Also I don't think he even writes his own music... When he asks his lyricists to write his music he must say: "I want you to write the worst song you could possibly write, and I'll sing it with my high pitched annoying voice and all my musically illiterate fan girls will love it because I've brain washed them into believing I'm talented." I swear it must be something close to that, or they're just some groupies who got so high they thought they were a lyricist.
He is the worst I ever heard
Neutral Milk Hotel has some of the most powerful lyrics I have ever heard. The blend of emotion and imagery creates visions inside of my mind that bring me to tears.
" Oh how the notes all bend and reach above the trees"
I think Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan should be up at the top of the list. I can't ignore the talent of RA.
Any professional songwriter, whether old school or contemporary, will tell you the Irving Berlin may be the greatest songwriter of all time and that they were influenced by the tremendous contributions he made to the craft of songwriting.
Ha! This makes me laugh! Who's the idiot who put him on the list? Please I wanna know, Are you kidding? Did you put him on the list as a joke? Or to see all the comments of people agreeing with you saying: "Oh my god! I'm a stupid teenager and I LOVE Lil Wayne! " Pffft, please. If this is the best people can do than music is dead, Where did Rock'N'Roll go? If you're pissed reading this look up "Led Zeppelin" On spotify or pandora, you'll realize that rap is utter garbage like the rest of us did, and if you don't agree than I'll be the first to tell you... You're musically illiterate.
One of my favorite lyrics from this genius:
"Her mouth is like my house, so you can say I'm coming home."
He lived from 1848-1929, so he is not well known today. However, it is estimated that throughout his life he wrote the lyrics to over three thousand popular songs. In terms of lyricism, that places him among the best. One of his most popular songs was 'Danny Boy'.
This man is not only the most underrated rapper ever, he is also the best lyricist. HIs collaborations with Nas are exceptional as well as his solo work, which has sadly never broken into the mainstream. This man is a genius.
