I am a fan of every genre, rock and metal being my favorites, and there have been MANY great lyricists. Mostly everyone in the top ten deserves to be in there, but Pete is an amazing poet. He's witty and has very deep and meaningful lyrics. I know a lot of people probably don't like him, but just listen to his lyrics in Fall Out Boy. They're great.

Pete Wentz writes really deep lyrics which are full of meaning. There's probably at least one Fall Out Boy song that you can relate to completely, they're so great and well written. And I love the movie references in the titles!

Why's Pete so far back? He's such a talented lyrist, writing complex and meaningful words. Though they have somewhat "cryptic" meanings, they express so many emotions and are just inspirational and beautiful.

Insanely underrated. It's unbelievable he's only one place ahead from Taylor Swift.

Why is HE on the list, come on people the guy is so over rated! He said "Rap is the new Rock'N'Roll, And I'm the best of the best." The dude ISN'T a good, never mind great, Lyricists! He writes meaningless lyrics... I can think of 10 better lyricists off the top of my head. (In no specific order. )

10. Nikki Sixx
9. Robert Plant
8. Axl Rose
7. Izzy Stradlin
6. Eddie Vedder
5. Jake E. Lee
4. Billy Joel
3. David Bowie
2. Jim Morrison
1. Jimi Hendrix

Hell even Taylor Swift is better! I mean I don't really like her music, But at least she's talented, And doesn't think she's better than anyone everyone before and after her... (I mean he named one of his albums "Yeezus"... REALLY KANYE?!?!

167 Taylor Swift Taylor Swift Taylor Alison Swift (Taylor Swift) is an American singer-songwriter. She was born on December 13, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania. She is best known for writing break up songs and for having more than 5 Grammys . She became interested in country music when she was around 9 years old and after watching more.

Hey, you call me up again just to break me like a promise.
So casually cruel in the name of being honest.
I'm a crumpled up piece of paper lying here
'Cause I remember it all, all, all... too well.

Time won't fly, it's like I'm paralyzed by it
I'd like to be my old self again, but I'm still trying to find it
After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own
Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone

Why is she even on this list.

She needs to be top ten, for sure

She is best...her songs are so catchy, she pour her feeling in her songs

168 Diane Warren

Are you guys serious, she has more monster hits than any five people combined on this list!

169 Tyga Tyga Tyga is a rapper that was born November 19, 1989. He was popular in 2012 and is best known for dating Kylie Jenner while she was still a minor.

I just looked this guy up on Wikipedia and apparently his name means Thank You God Always. Really? Also his 3rd album was named, Ready for this...

Hotel California!

Yes, He stole the name from the Eagles, If he even knows who the Eagles are, Probably another rapper who thinks he's better than anyone else on this planet and knows nothing about music.

If anyone actually votes for this...

170 Billie Joe Armstrong Billie Joe Armstrong Billie Joe Armstrong is an American musician, singer, songwriter and actor who is best known as the lead vocalist, primary songwriter, and guitarist of the punk rock band Green Day, which he co-founded with Mike Dirnt.

I'm the son of rage and love
The Jesus of Suburbia
From the bible of none of the above
On a steady diet of
Soda pop and Ritalin
No one ever died for my sins in hell
As far as I can tell
At least the ones I got away with

And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me

Get my television fixed
Sitting on my crucifix
The living room or my private womb
While the Moms and Brads are away
To fall in love and fall in debt
To alcohol and cigarettes
And Mary Jane
To keep me insane,
Doing someone else's cocaine

At the center of the Earth
In the parking lot
Of the 7-11 where I was taught
The motto was just a lie
It says home is where your heart is
But what a shame
Cause everyone's heart
Doesn't beat the same
It's beating out of time

Look at me and tell me that's not the greatest lyric you've ever heard

Time of Your Life is probably the most meaningful songs I've ever heard!

Taylor Swift is over him. I hate this world.

You know there's something wrong with the world when Billie is only 7 places above Justin Bieber.
Billie is an amazing lyricist. So many other artists on this list are known for their media presence, and not their lyrics. Billie is probably most famous for his lyrics and that is one reason why Green Day are such a successful band.

171 Bryan Adams Bryan Adams

You have got to be kidding me! No Bryan Adams! Really?

172 K'naan

K'naan grew up invelloped in the portent mix of generations of Somali poets and urban rappers, bringing together the best of both world - social and political consciousness, and raw, personal story telling with some of the best flow in the game. His first two albums are pure poetry, featuring songs like "Fatima", "Waving Flag", and "People like me".

173 Dr. Dre Dr. Dre Andre Romelle Young, better known by his stage name Dr. Dre, is an American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and current CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics.

The master himself this guy has more experience than anyone I know if it wasn't for him rap wouldn't be at this standart so yeah dre is awesome

174 Royce da 5'9" Royce da 5'9 Ryan Daniel Montgomery, better known by his stage name Royce da 5'9", is an American rapper from Detroit, Michigan.

Yo 5'9 is a great rapper not the best but he lies among the best he even dissed kanye west on a track with em just so he ain't scared but he will be if you got em on your side..

175 Nelly Nelly Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr., known professionally as, Nelly, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, investor, and occasional actor from St.

He's been in the game for a while now and I think he is tight give him any beat and he wil make it work.. Yez that's nelly 4 you

176 50 Cent 50 Cent Curtis James Jackson III, better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper, actor, entrepreneur, investor, record, film, and television producer.

I Think you're on the wrong list dude... This is "Best lyricists of all time" Not "Top 10 worst artists". Can all you musically illiterate people saying that rap is the greatest genera of music please, go somewhere else. The only decent, Famous, rapper is Eminem, That I know of anyway.

Hour got swag but other than that he is na average rapper

177 Rick Ross Rick Ross William Leonard Roberts II, better known by his stage name Rick Ross, is an American rapper and entrepreneur .

I'm so sophisticated get that song and you will no why he is on this list

178 Big Pun Big Pun Christopher Lee Rios, better known by his stage name Big Pun, was an American rapper. Emerging from the underground hip hop scene in The Bronx borough of New York City, in the early 1990s, he was the first Latino rapper to have an album certified platinum as a solo act. more.

133? Pun's lyrics are on the level if not above that of Biggie. This guy should even be above Nirvana, at least.

179 John Rzeznik
180 Justin Bieber Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, song writer, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada (despite once claiming he was Part-Indian) and he is Christian . He is the son of an author, Pattie Mallet . more.

Wow... Okay... Umm... Who ever put this guy on the list is just as much of a moron as Justin Bieber is. I'm sorry but I don't think he's even a moderately talented lyricist, or artist for that matter. He isn't a good singer, Also I don't think he even writes his own music... When he asks his lyricists to write his music he must say: "I want you to write the worst song you could possibly write, and I'll sing it with my high pitched annoying voice and all my musically illiterate fan girls will love it because I've brain washed them into believing I'm talented." I swear it must be something close to that, or they're just some groupies who got so high they thought they were a lyricist.

He is the worst I ever heard
