Top Ten Best Meat Loaf Songs
The Top Ten
This baby got me so totally hooked to this whole genre and it's gotten better and better after that
Easily could be stated as one of the best songs ever written it has a feel that nobody I've ever shown it to loves even if they don't like meat loaf they love this song. I could throw out songs like stairway to heaven or somebody to love but they don't compare to this, this isn't just the best meat loaf song it is the best period.
This is the best song in the whole world for me
Best lyrics best music and greatest voice ever touches me deep inside every single time I hear it
The one song you never get tired of. It simply has everything, the quit passes, the rock'n'roll topped with a duet by the end. It's simply the best song ever written
awesome song with an epic intro of 1 minute 55 seconds before he actually sings!
This is the greatest song ever, so much that I take 10 minutes out of my valuable time just to listen to it! The intro is great, and the story it tells is amazing!
Epic guitar solo's, epic vocals, epic everything really. Je can't help but rock out when I hear the guitar solo's and him singing like a bat out of heaven.
Arguably the best song I have ever heard in my life. Great vocals, instrumentals, structure, lyrics, and emotion. When I listen to Bat Out of Hell, so do my neighbours!
how could this not be number one?! It's GREAT, NO! Even better then great
This is the only Meat Loaf song I've heard, and it has absolutely blown me away. If there's more to Meat Loaf than this, I can not wait to get into it.
This song is one of the best songs that I have ever heard just because it portrays two teens lusting for each other, then listening to the baseball game on the dashboard radio, and finally losing love for each other. It is sort of sad really, but really engrosses you in just an 8 minute period of time.
This is a classic of all classics.
Not only does it have a great sound and project great energy, it describes a transaction involving two young people in a way no one else has ever described it.
This ranks right up there with Stairway to Heaven as one of the best rock anthems ever in my opinion.
I think this will always be there number 1 song it will always hit home to me and I love it its been with me many years and haven't heard it for years and still I no every word it will always hit home to me
Great song. I remember this growing up and brings back GREAT memories!
It's the best song of all time I'm 56 years old and I'm listing to it rite the first time I herd it was back in the 70 s and I still have lots of his song and always will
One of our most requested songs at dances in high school 32 years ago. I still remember the feelings you'd experience when this song played.
I hope none of this is from his life, especially about the father hitting him. Don't we all have a best friend we remember with such love? My favorite lyrics of Meatloaf of all his songs... love him
BEST MEAT LOAF SONG EVER!
The lyrics really touch you and get through to you.
It also has a lovely tune!
This is probably my favourite Meat Loaf song!
It's just so awesome!
Meats best song for crying out loud is not an option so I picked his second best
Great lyrics and the whole meaning behind it is amazing.
Absolutely epic. The orchestrations combined with the stunning vocals make this one of the most powerful recordings ever made. If that wasn't enough, two words: the coda. My favorite lyrics of all time.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written. I have been listening to it more than a hundred times.
One of Steinmans favourite songs
Should be #1. The best love song ever written. It's powerful. Extremely.
Deserves to be higher up on the list. Definitely demonstrates Meat's theatrical talent combined with his vocal talent. And Jim Steinman's composition is at the top of his game in this masterpiece outlining a couple's first touch of love on a hot summer night.
No less than #3 best of Meatloaf. Quality and originality of the music is sensational.
Ranked too low on this list!
The video is great with the commentary ending with
On a hot summer night,
would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?
[Boy:] I bet you say that to all the boys!
"What about the future? It's defective! "
"You can shove it up your ass! A"
I don't really understand why this is in the top ten. It really isn't that good a song (although it's still better than "Do It! ") Any song from Bat I or II would be better than this, in my opinion.
How is this NOT in the top 10? Excellent song and epic Meatloaf! Love this song.
Turn off the video and listen to this song
I could listen to this song all night long!
Is not my favorite but it is awesome!
All of these songs above and many more meatloaf songs could be on this list but this one at the moment for me has something special
This needs to be in the mix for sure...
Such a brilliant motivator.
A great song that sounds a little like Desperado!
Seeing this song at #44 makes me cry. This song should be top 5!
Top 10 it should be in
Why is this so low? Because some one put it as a dis mention. Bad choice man.
Amazing combination of metal and oprah with the driving guitar and drums. The singing: Phenomenal! Just everything about this song is great especially for the person who enjoys more hardcore meat loaf.
A great heavy metal meat loaf song. Great vocals!
A little heavy but still great
The greatest song of all time with Bohemian Rhapsody
The best Meat Loaf song ever. Written by the great Jim Steinman. Instead of other Meat Loaf where singing is the only imporant thing (Or almost), this one has several amazing instrumental parts. I love it.
They are just brilliant a group I will always follow
Great song to Jive to; as is Bat Out of Hell.
Should be in the Top 10. Such a classic meat loaf song
This a awesome song I do know that actually all the songs that meatloaf sings are awesome but for some reason this one is the topone for me there is a lot of feelings that would show between two people with this song
The "Wasted Youth" intro is pure genius.
"GOD DAMN IT, DADDY! You know I love you, but you've got a hell of a lot to learn about ROCK, AND, ROLL! "
Other than that the song is pretty repetitive but still great
"You've got to learn to dance before you learn to crawl"
