Incredible fingerstyle skills! Hardly any other bassist plays with so much precision at such a high speed. If this was an accurate list, the top three would be Cliff Burton, John Myung and Michael Lepond!
Listen to his solos in Egypt and Seven and you will understand.
Technically speaking, he's incredible; listen to Sea of Lies or Domination, that's all that's needed
Similarly to Steve Harris, he is also the primary songwriter of the band and his songs are great!
Can't believe he's on number 45! I know he plays mainly simple bass line, but check out the early stuff of Priest classic, like SIN AFTER SIN, STAINED CLASS or metal masterpiece UNLEASHED IN THE EAST, he plays basic stuff but adding some incredible melodic bass note to each songs. I think he deserve on top 10 in metal.V 1 Comment
He should definitely be in the top 20! - CenturyChild
Very special with his 'simple' style.
Aslo a very good singer!
There are better bass players but Marco belongs certainly to the top 20
He is very very underrated. Check out his bass solo to Pictures Of Home by Deep Purple. - Metal_TreasureV 1 Comment
Dan Briggs is a very talented bassist. I mean look at his work on colors, it's absolutely amazing.
Dan briggs is a brilliant bassist, don't believe me, listen to viridian by between the buried and me
This man and Ryan martinie are my two favourites and HAVE to be up there in top few. These men have the skills to pay them little gimmicks they keep sending in the mail called 'bills'
A fantastic bassist with excellent technique and exceptionally fluid playing. He incorporates many different styles into his playing, and his tapping is incredible.
How about DragonForce's Frederic Leclercq? He plays brutal, fast, and many more.
Absolutely love Olllie!, his riffsa re simple yet unique. His passion for his band is incredible. Long Live Rammstein
Out of every bands I have ever heard in my life, I could say that Toshiya's is the best one yet. I don't get it why he didn't make it to at least the top 20, but Toshiya is just... ugh. His bass never failed to make me drown
He brings his own style to slap bass he admits that yes he's not the most technical bass player but when you actually watch him play he brings a edge to KoRn that makes them different from most bands
I actually cannot understand why Forest Lapointe comes after something like fifty other bass players who, having of course been important for the genre, are not nearly close to his level. This man's technique is what every bass player should dream to reach, and it's truly sad to see how his skill is not recognized as much as it deserves.V 1 Comment
Paolo is amazing! My favourite bassist! Listen to anthem we are the fire
The genius behind Mansons sound, Twiggys bass is prominent in all of Mansons staples, The Reflecting God in particular is chilling.
He is cute and strong and his music is op... but I think the bass play was not that op as his music
What the hell? Pete should be in the top 10, at least!
Wow he is criminally low - Sincerity
