Top Ten Best Metal Drummers

The Contenders: Page 5

81 Fredrik Andersson (Amon Amarth)

Really good drummer, though I never had oportunity to hear him in other styles than "Extreme" metal. It was fantastic to see improvement through years with AA, and see him live couple of times.

This man rocks. One of the best drummers in the whole metal world and the best I've ever seen live.

The best drummer I ever seen!...In Amon Amarth and in This Ending/ A Canorous Quintett too! Thank you Fredrik for your play! :) m/ keep the best drummer...

His solos when he played with Rainbow blew my mind.

Top 5 drummer ever best work in rainbow and whitesnake cozy is a record holder he played 200 seperate drums in less than a minute beat that

@visitor - he played 400 and not 200 drums in less than a minute! And he did that on a live T.V. show! - Metal_Treasure

94 Tommy Lee Tommy Lee Thomas Lee Bass, best known as Tommy Lee, is a Greek-American musician and founding member of heavy metal band Mötley Crüe.

An awesome drummer can't belive he isn't on this list the pride of motley crue

Are you guys outside your ever lovin mind? As for metal drummers, he should at least make the top 10.

Who else can keep such a rhythm while on a rotating drum set...

Because of Crue's image.Tommy gets ignored.Being the rock drummer is he has always put something extra into his rock grooves,Don't let the hairspray and makeup fool you...LISTEN!

95 Robert Ortiz (Escape the Fate)

Very passionate and skillful drummer. Uses pearl drums and other custom cymbals.

96 Kai Hahto

Kai's versatility has enabled him to play in a variety of genres: death metal, doom metal, grindcore, ambient, melodic death, as well as whatever Wintersun is. An example of his genius can be heard in Wintersun's song Sons of Winter and Stars, where he can be heard playing multiple time signatures simultaneously.

Is everyone ok? Kai definitely need to be in the top 5, he's technique and speed are impeccable and his talent out if this world. By the way he's in Wintersun and the new nightwish drummer (until Jukka feels better).

A very, very talented drummer. He has speed but even more versatility. His drums are not only about rhythm but even melody.

In my opinion a very skilled else could you play WIntersun?!

97 Tom Hunting (Exodus) Tom Hunting (Exodus)

Very good drummer and underrated

If you love Dave Lombardo you'll dig this go out and buy 1988's 'Fabulous Disaster'...NOW!

98 Chris Kontos (Machine Head)

39 what, this dude is buddy love of metal/hardcore. When he left machine head, it was over with the fun. It became a lame slow and boring band, machine head dudes, thanks for nothing.
And the new attitude adjustment is a killer(all the records are, and don't forget the demo with kristallnacht on it)
Chris you rule

99 Dave Mackintosh (DragonForce)

He is my favorite not because of that he should be near the top ten and I also wonder, what does he use for bass drums in the studio for DragonForce. He also left DragonForce :(

88?! What? This man is a legend, his double bass is insane! Just listen to fallen worlds and tell me this man still deserves to be this low on the list?

To be able to keep up with the guitar work is a milestone all in itself.

Why isn't he topping this list?

100 Louie Clemente (Testament)

Louie Clemente embodies everything that lars did in the 80s. Only he's faster.. HOW? Louie is a great drummer and is very good with the base. Listen to More than meets the eye, The evil has landed, stuff like that.

Louie did not play More that meet the Eye. Paul Bostaph did.. More like Ulrich level drummer to me.

I like the fact that Louie didn't use a lot of double kick drumming on their records, sometimes too much
double kick sounds cluttered and messy.Less is more ya know.On ya Louie!
