Top 10 Best Metal Vocalists

The Contenders: Page 9

161 Joe Elliott - Def Leppard

This man is one of the torchbearer in metal world. As good as Bruce Dickinson. Although definitely Leppard is marked as a rock band (NO REAL REASON).

162 Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson Brian Hugh Warner, better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson, is an American musician, songwriter, actor, painter, multimedia artist, author, and former music journalist.

One of the most influential metal singers in the industry. Although not the best and not my favorite he is still deserving of way more praise than being number 161 on this list. Give respect where respect is due even though he's beyond strange.

Role model

163 Chino Moreno - Deftones Chino Moreno - Deftones Chino Moreno is an American musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist and contributing guitarist of Deftones.

Chino deserves a damn high spot, his voice is the most unique one yet I feel like! His harsher vocals sound very unique too, although his clean vocals are what truly mesmerize. Nobody can quite match the unique way Chino sings, if anyone tried it just would not sound near as unique and expressive.

He has exceptional vocals, and his excellent vocals also shine in his side project Palms. He has the screaming vocals, and can still have soft and gentle vocals which makes his screaming vocals stand out.

Why is Chino so roar from the top. He has one of the best screams of all time!

The best vocals besides Freddie Mercury in my opinion. Has to be above #79

167 Jose Luís Campuzano - Barón Rojo
168 Lord Worm - Cryptopsy Lord Worm - Cryptopsy Dan Greening, aka Lord Worm, is the original vocalist for Cryptopsy, a Canadian technical death metal band. He is also an English teacher.

Absolutely astonishing growls, easily one of the best death metal vocalists and among the best of the whole genre as a result.

169 Spencer Chamberlain - Underoath
170 Daniel Mongrain - Martyr

A great vocalist, as also a very technical guitarist, from a band that deserves a lot of attention. Seriously! Feeding The Abscess is a great technical death metal album that showcases the talent of Daniel Mongrain. He is such a master that he even teaches music in a very prestigious music university at Canada!

171 Kai Hansen - Gamma Ray Kai Hansen - Gamma Ray

I can't tell you how I was shocked when I did not see Kai on this list! Are you mad? He is the godfather of Power Metal! He shahped this metal genre by his voice alone. Man, I can still feel his screams in my head!

172 Nils K. Rue - Pagan's Mind
173 Steve Braun - Halcyon way

Steve Braun is one of the most talented singers you will ever hear, let alone just in the metal genre. Pairing his amazing talent with this incredible band was the best thing to ever happen to metal.
Steve and Halcyon Way may be a little unknown, but that doesn't say a single thing about their talent or skill.
If you don't know this band you are missing out.

Definitely Steve is one of the most talented singers out there. Great guy, great showman, great vocalist

If there was a voice for Prog Metal, Steve would fill that category. Talent in bucket-loads and an amazing dude to match.

One of the hidden jems in the metal scene waiting to breakout onto the works stage!

174 Mike Hranica - The Devil Wears Prada
175 Michael Eriksen - Circus Maximus
176 Oliver Sykes - Bring Me The Horizon

He's real good with Sempiternal (especially b-side track "Deathbeds"), but with previous material and the fact he's damaged his cords, him being on this list is surprising even if he's "totally sexy piece of tattooed body ever (sic)"

Totally sexy piece of tattooed body ever! He's from bring my the horizon

177 Andy Biersack - Black Veil Brides Andy Biersack - Black Veil Brides

Yes, I know, not everyone's cup of tea, but he does have an amazing voice, which is becoming so much more diverse with each album. His music as Andy Black shows increased complexity, depth, light and shade and as he has grown up, so has his music. I think he's bloody brilliant!

I love him. also I love his message his music make me happy to be myself as a trans

He's kool.

178 Apollo Papathanasio
179 Fred Durst - Limp Bizkit Fred Durst - Limp Bizkit William Frederick "Fred" Durst is an American musician and film director. Durst is best known as the vocalist of the nu metal band Limp Bizkit, formed in 1994, with whom he has released six studio albums.

An aggressive artist. A good musician no doubt. Limp Bizkit is famous for their abrasive lyrics and crunchy musics.

He has an amazing voice. Shame he has no idea how to use it.

180 Stu Block - Iced Earth, Into Eternity Stu Block - Iced Earth, Into Eternity Stuart "Stu" Block is a Canadian singer-songwriter, who was the frontman for Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity, and is now the lead vocalist for American heavy metal band Iced Earth.
