The Contenders: Page 17

321 Friday Night Lights
322 Kung Fu Panda 2 (John Powell & Hans Zimmer)

I agree that this soundtrack kicks more ass than the first.

323 How To Train Your Dragon 2 (John Powell)
324 Alice in Wonderland (Danny Elfman)
325 The Perks of Being a Wallflower

He had a great soundtrack

326 The Day of the Doctor
327 War Story (Mark Jackson)
328 Cat People
329 From Dusk till Dawn (Graeme Revell)
330 The Dark Knight Rises (Hans Zimmer)

Best of the Zimmer's

331 Interstellar (Hans Zimmer)

I can't believe this is at 272. This is my favorite movie and my favorite part was definitely the soundtrack. It's so perfect and it sets the mood and suspense for every scene of this Christopher Nolan masterpiece. This has to be #1.

Hans Zimmer is a genius. This movie deserves to be in the top 10 at least.

Mate, this soundtrack was bloody amazing. It gave the movie it's emotional hit, and the fact that it's 74 is just ridiculous

It should be in the top tens, its worth it.

332 Puss in Boots (Henry Jackman)
333 Chicken Run (John Powell & Harry Gregson-Williams)
334 Dinosaur (James Newton Howard)

If you haven't heard "The Egg Travels", go listen to it now. It's magical to the Nth degree. - higgsboson2142

335 Alien 3 (Elliott Goldenthal)

Outstanding score. Dark, dreary, and with a memorable adagio.

336 Divergent (Junkie XL)
337 The Imitation Game (Alexandre Desplat)
338 Breaking Glass (Hazel O'Connor)

Just saw Hazel O'Connor live again, a couple of weeks ago, performing most of this soundtrack, and it still sounded fresh and inspiring. So, my partner and me, decided to watch the movie again this weekend too.

339 Cha Cha

Dutch movie from 1979, featuring Herman Brood, Nina Hagen and Lene Lovich as part of cast, as well as soundtrack. Plus several Dutch bands, mainly unknown. Hilarious cover-version of 'Knockin' on Herman's (Heaven's) Door' by Nina Hagen with lyrics about Sid & Nancy.

340 More (Pink Floyd)

Can't believe this is so low on this list! Too many kids are voting on this list when you see that Tarantino soundtracks are ranked higher. I mean, A soundtrack of past hits isn't really a soundtrack. It's more a compilation of songs to promote sells. In contrast the Pink Floyd were asked to write songs that match the story of the movie ( including the time of the song that were in synchronity with the time of the scene ).

Like 'La Vallee', directed by Barbet Schroeder with music by Pink Floyd, 'More' is about a heroin-addict in Ibiza. Stand-out tracks are 'The Nile Song' and 'Green is the Colour'.
