Best Movies of 2015
The Top Ten
I highly enjoyed this film... at first. Retrospectively, it kind of got worse, especially after learning that Disney, under Kathleen Kennedy had no input or plan on what to do with Star Wars.
It's a shame really. It looks fantastic, that's for sure, and, heck, it's the only film in the Sequel Trilogy that I can enjoy, but beyond that, this film was hardly good if you ask me. Fun film, yeah, but nowhere near the best of 2015. It doesn't help in that this film retrospectively renders the overall conclusion of the Original Trilogy moot and pointless, which just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I really hope the people who voted for this are right. It is definitely one of the biggest and most hyped movies this year, but don't count your chickens before they've hatched. Won't it be embarrassing to vote for this and then Disney botches this? Wait for the movie to be amazing and THEN vote for it. This is not me taking away from how good this movie COULD be, as I have high expectations and hopes for this movie as well, and it could be awesome. I just think that it is not a good idea to assume it will be amazing, which I would say for any unreleased movie, not just this one. Combine that with the fact that it is being made by a different producer and company and such, and you shouldn't just already say this is gonna be the movie of the year. Also, if you read this after the movie is out, how was it? Haha
Even though the story lacks a little bit of originality which is kinda disappointing but it wasn't much of an issue cause I thought the rest of the movie was amazing. It's definitely a Star Wars movie a lot of us have been waiting to see. After the disappointment of Phantom Menace, The Force Awakens is the total opposite of it. A movie that proves that from all the hype and anticipation it was totally worth the wait. Great acting, great dialogue, great humor, awesome action scenes, brilliant visual effects, some nostalgic and emotional moments and another terrific musical score from none other than John Williams. What can I say? it's an amazing movie
I have always loved the star wars movies (which means the originals, not the prequels), and when I first heard it was being made by Disney, I was a little worried. I mean Disney is Disney, so I was afraid they would botch it up or something. Boy, was I wrong. I know this might sound crazy, but I almost like this one better than the 4th one. Let's face it the 4th one and the 7th one are almost the same movie. Same structure. The only three differences I can see, are that the "death star" or whatever they call is like a planet now and not a moon, there are new characters in this movie, while also keeping old classic characters, and they can make jokes about the originals, that they couldn't make in the originals, as how could a single movie, make jokes about a movie that would come out almost 4 decades later. And for these three reasons, I think this movie is almost better than the original. It may be better than the 4th, but there is no way this one is better than the 5th. The Empire ...more
Well, Disney managed to climb out of 4 years of disappointment and make something truly adequate. It still stands as among my favourite animated films of all time (pretty big compliment) with likeable characters, relatable to lots of people, myself included, gorgeous animation and great emotional payoff. Probably my favourite film of 2015.
Age of ultron is a great superhero film, and should definitely be in the top tens, but inside out is special as it is inventive with its methods of describing and presenting the human psychology. it also can make people feel like children again from the genius humor, the plot is very unpredictablem except the end, and you will definitely feel a plethora of different feelings from the movie, which results in the end, satisfaction.
best movie of the year, along with Mad Max: Fury Road.
I absolutely loved it. Pixar worked hard on this project, due to the fact that their last few films hadn't really met the usual standards, and really redeemed themselves with a highly original concept executed brilliantly, showing every part of the human psychic, and has a very strong emotional core which propelled it forward into being an absolute masterpiece.
I honestly never thought what could've happen inside my brain. After watching this movie I kept thinking what's going on inside my head. And honestly, Joy showed me one good lesson. She never stop trying no matter how hard life knock her down, the most important thing is keep trying until you get what you want.
Mad Max: Fury Road is a jaw-dropping action masterpiece! I haven't been this entertained and impressed by an action film for quite a while. It's pure pulse-pounding entertainment and satisfaction that Mad Max: Fury Road brings. This is with the utmost certainty one of the greatest action films ever made and simply a spectacular piece of cinema overall. A thrilling quality film from start to finish. Every element of the film is beautifully constructed and brought together seamlessly. An instant buy as soon as it comes out on blu ray. What a lovely day, indeed!
The reasons than this movie need to been in the top is for the next reasons
1- The action here is awesome, since transformers was popular there was a little examples of a clever and intelligent action movies, and this movie show to us how the action movies are
2- The acting, I'm not telling the acting in some movies are worser or this movie got the best acting, but the actors actually show they entusiasm in make the movie
3- The excitiness, in this movie you actually feel when the things are happening, you feel the chase, you feel the stunts, you feel explosions, you feel everything real in this movie
4- underrated, I liked the avengers and jurassic world, but the only reason that are in the top is because they are underrated, and that is ridicoulouss because if a movie are number one in the box doesn't mean that is the best movie of the year, so... transformers 4 is the best movie of 2014? Of course not, and if a movie is underrated, doesn't mean that the ...more
Mad Max was arguably the film that stood out the most. Having won the most academy awards this year, it was also ranked the best movie of the year by rotten tomatoes. However, despite its success, the movie did not place in the updated version of the top 100 movies of all time, and for a bit of salt in the wound, Inside Out, which finished second in 2015, would place 11th on the updated all times. Nevertheless, Fury Road was a fantastic new installment to the critically acclaimed Mad Max franchise, and would go down as one of the best of all time in my opinion.
So glad I didn't see Fantastic Four on the list Lmao... Anyway, back to point, Mad Max is really the best movie of 2015. The stunts, the graphics and editing we're one of best ( if not the best ) in entertainment history. But ya can't understand if ya don't watch it can you? I too was not interested at first but I'm a guy who would give anything a chance, and so I did, watched it, to the last detail of the movie and I'm absolutely satisfied. I've watched every movie from the list with full heart and Mad Max is definitely number 1, and that is coming from the most neutral person ever lol. Witness Me!
Vision+Handing Thor his Hammer = Pure Awesome
The lead in was tied absolutely perfect earlier in the film and meant to seem as though it was the whole joke. Then the package timed so well that when it was delivered I was so entirely surprised it's likely that for a moment I started to annoy the other patrons failing despite my best efforts to keep my laughter contained.
Flipping now to the other side of the coin, while I know little about the methods involved to successfully hack Stark tech I can see that it's possible such required no more than a few hours to complete which also should have given Ultron control of it. My counter to this is that Jarvis was protecting far more than nuclear missiles. Though I was still a little disappointed that I had such a hard time when trying to suspend my disbelief since all the various tech the Avengers had such the team's Quinjet, Col. Rhodes War Machine armor, Tony's Iron Man, and Hulk Buster armors. My additional counter is that ...more
Would definitely win for "movie people most wanted to be great". I loved the first movie and I had high hopes for AoU. I left the theater with a lingering feeling of disappointment when I first saw it, but I dismissed it as the product of the annoying kids that cried through the whole thing. I thought a second viewing would clear things up. It didn't. The pacing and editing were awful, the dialogue was trying way too hard to be witty and funny and came off as forced and awkward (the whole "language" thing with Cap at the beginning really stands out but it happened throughout the movie), the new characters introduced were either lame (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) or plain ridiculous (Vision), the Banner-Romanov romance was poorly written and forced, and the CGI really came up short in a year of visually stunning movies (Force Awakens' CGI, Mad Max's practical effects and Inside Out's animation were all incredible). Because of how good Winter Soldier and Guardians ...more
I Loathe this movie so much! not even the special effects or Scarlett Johansson's sex appeal can save this bloated movie! But I think Civil War made up for this piece of crap! Civil War was the movie that we were waiting for! AOU was so over-hyped! Crappy dialogue, the chemistry is forced, the editing is garbage and it targets the preschoolers in the Audience! We expected better from this flick because of the cast interviews and marketing! But instead we get a big Toys R Us commerical with very little substance!
The Avengers are back, and better than ever. This movie was awesome, and I could tell you since I've seen it. With Earth's Mightiest Heroes going up against Ultron, it's a sight to behold. Plus, This and Captain America 2 both lead up Captain America Civil War. And don't forget the part where Vision lifted Thor's hammer. Cool. Bottom line, Avengers Age of Ultron was great, and I can't wait for the next film.
NGL, I had more fun watching this film than Age of Ultron. Maybe some bias here because I'm a dinosaur fanatic and I was waiting for this film for ages. Happy to see that Jurassic World bought back some interest in dinosaurs, the action sequences were really cool and it's overall a fun experience. Also, that T. rex and Raptor VS Indominus sequence is simply awesome.
I know a lot of people do in fact like this film. It's got big action, big stars and dinosaurs, how is that a bad thing? It's not. However, just because a film has these characteristics doesn't mean it's good. Case and point for Jurassic World. Whilst there are some positive elements about it: Its musical score, CGI and its design of the park, but that's about it. Jurassic World is a film driven by nostalgia rather than its plot and characters. Don't get me wrong, nostalgia is a good thing. It lets the audience reminisce in what made this film series legendary, but going overboard with it degenerates the film into being 2 hours of cramming everything that is great about Jurassic Park rather than focusing on its plot points and characters, and possibly trying to create new things. Speaking of characters, the main cast were cliche, lacking depth and boring. Whilst the two leads were entertaining enough to watch, but that was only thanks to the performances of Chris Pratt and Bryce ...more
So overrated! This movie is nothing but a rehash of the first Jurassic Park movie and definitely the worst of the franchise so far.
I couldn't believe how good this was! Having loved the original films, I didn't go into the cinema with high expectations as delayed sequels aren't always that great. I was totally blown away with the story, acting, and special effects! The scene with Chris Pratt riding on his bike through the woods with the raptors alongside him is just awesome on so many levels!
Great mixtures of: clever Wit vs fast paced Sarcasm, a story of unimaginable isolation vs a truly lovable main character, finally the small sprinklings of hope spaced far enough from a terrible event vs keeping the overall tone as bleak as possible. All balanced in a way that for the average audience member including myself were so immersed as though they were going through with the characters. It is difficult to find a movie that can be seen as entertaining to such a wide range of ages and personalities, especially one that avoids placing many cracks in the very fabric of it's own reality.
This movie's plot is so much better than the big ones like jurassic world and age of ultron and it felt much more like you were really in the movie. I feel like people are just voting them for the sake of the action and buildup. not gonna lie, I loved both those movies, but this one takes the number 1 spot for me.
This is an amazing movie and by far one of the best I've seen- which says a lot because honestly I am strictly only into comedy and action. But this was really entertaining and by far one of the best of 2015.
Matt Damon has done it again. His excellent acting skills combined with an intriguing plot and stunning visuals all came together into one exceptional film. This is definitely in my Top 10 movies.
This movie is my all time favorite. I would have voted Star Wars 7, which was my 2nd favorite or my third favorite, the Martian, but this one was full of action, had interesting, characters, amazing plot, nice setting, and the movie was really funny and the dialogue was very clever. I watched this in the movie theater and I heard almost everyone there laughing, no, EVERYONE laughing. I hope to see another movie like this in 2016!
Definitely enjoyed Avengers AOU, but it just didn't quite have the fun feeling that I usually get from the MCU movies and T.V. shows (yes, the Netflix shows aren't meant to be fun, but that's beside the point). I really liked this one a lot better because it didn't try to be any bigger than AOU (no pun intended) and ended up being a lot of fun. Would've preferred it if Edgar Wright stayed though. Oh well.
I've got to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I wasn't really looking forward to seeing it because I thought it was a superhero movie, a genre I'm not a fan of, but it had a really good storyline despite the seemingly silly premise.
Pleasant surprise thought it would be terrible but Disney/Marvel works complete a complete miracle and makes this great, for those who have watched I thought the final scene was a bit to explosion filled...
What I like about this movie is the tricks and how smart people think to solve problem quickly and under pressure. For example, there are scenes where they had to jump like a skydiver from the airplane and one of them didn't get a parachute on their back. So they had to help the one friend who didn't bring parachute and landed safely.
Another scenes that insane for me is when they were sleeping suddenly there was a lot of water, it will drown them if they don't work together to survive from it.
And absolutely there's a lesson you can take, it doesn't matter if you born as poor and you're nobody, what matter is what you do to everybody and that is what makes you worthy.
Kingsman: The Secret Service is a highly entertaining and stylish film filled with charm, humor and a heavy dose of dazzling violent action. The cast is spot on and the characters are completely brilliant. A really well made and great looking film with a stunning soundtrack. Everyone shines in their roles and Colin Firth just knocked it out of the park, effortlessly cool and plainly awesome. Exciting and fun all the way through.
Kick Ass + James Bond = Kingsman The Secret Service. That's exactly how I describe this film, a mixture of the stylized violent scenes from Kick Ass and the storyline and concept of spies from James Bond. But the greatest thing about the movie isn't just the awesome action scenes, and cool characters, it's also the unique storyline that sets it apart from other stories full of cliches. That church scene though
This needs to be at the number one spot, kingsman: the secret service is a really fun and hilarious movie with nonstop action and big laughs and also the best spy movie I've seen in a while since it's more in the vein of the kick-ass movies than the 007 series.
p.s. The church fight is AMAZING
One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. In my opinion the best movie of the year so far. I see no reason why this isn't at least in the top 5. Is it the racism that scares people away? Well it shouldn't because it's a pretty accurate depiction of what really happened. WATCH IT!
Should be around 5th or 6th, and should have won a few Oscars, thanks Hollywood. Great movie about a band and the issues the USA faced during the late 80's. Very educational and heart felt, extremely well acted, well written and directed, an amazing movie about one of the most influential music groups in recent history
One of the best movies of all times it touches on so many issues facing america today
it teaches you never to judge a book by the cover as you learned about how these rappers shaped a nation and inspired so many people todau
Straight out of compton is one of the best movie ever its all about the real things that happens in the hood that really wasnt so great but I was shocked about this movie. I thought the movie was gone be dumb but it wasnt.
I have to say, having read the books (and thinking the books were amazing), the "Part 1" was a serious let down. I had such high expectations for it, but it just didn't cut it for me. I still had high expectations for this one, and it absolutely went miles above my expectations. The acting was excellent, the special effects were amazing, and I think this movie perfectly portrayed the book. I loved it. Especially the epilogue.
This should at least be in the top 5! This movie was a great, beautiful, and tragic end to the Hunger Games series! I loved it! I laughed, cried, smiled... It was a beautiful movie and portrayed the book very well. Out of the four movies, this is my second favorite after the original The Hunger Games movie.
Sixth place? Why? It should have been in first place. It is so good. The plot is the best ever, and the characters are the best EVER. EVER!
Katniss is a great heroine. Peeta is so sweet. Finnick Odair is the best character in movies EVER. Just saying. Gale's a little great too.
Vote this up. Better than Star Wars in every ways possible. As far from mediocre a you can get. Love it!
Why do people vote for movies that aren't even out yet? Yes, I add movies to lists like this before they come out but I don't want them to be voted on until after it comes out. What if this movie is horrible? It'd be like voting for 'Jupiter Ascending' before it came out. AND THAT MOVIE WAS AWFUL.
The Hateful Eight definitely deserves top 3 for 2015. The hype around Star Wars will make it unbeatable, but for it to be 14? come on!? This film was vintage Tarantino. Does no one appreciate real story telling, character building, dialogue driven, cinematic art any more? If it's not got enough explosions to shame Michael Bay or a simple plot where it's the world on the line, people won't see it anymore. If Die Hard came out this year, it wouldn't be appreciated and that's a sad time.
The ONLY problem I have with this movie is that they use the really nasty and really racist "N" word WAY too much. Other than that, this is a pretty kick ass movie!
Why don't surprise me than Tarantino create another masterpiece? I surprise more than I can't seen this movie on the top
Great writing, acting, and plot. Tarantino has created a masterpiece yet again! A must see for any serious moviegoer.
Best action film of the year, hands down. The series keeps getting more and more bombastic, yet it maintains enough thrill and heart to remain ever so engrossing. The Mission Impossible franchise may be the benchmark franchises when it comes to stuntwork as of now.
Best M:I movie yet. I totally agree that this is better than Hotel Transylvania 2 and most of the movies up there. HOW IN THE HELL IS INSIDE OUT #1, ARE YOU PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR MINDS?. Star Wars is totally going to be #1, but not until it comes out.
don't vote for things that aren't out yet. You never know if they're going to butcher something or not. Movies like this tend to have a high failure rate because of all the hype, and also if a few people don't like it, or someone is slightly unhappy with it, it gets crucified because it doesn't go with someones view of how Star Wars should be. Give them some creative license people. Unless it truly is awful by EVERYONES opinion, then is when you crucify the director. J.J. Abrams hasn't really screwed any movies up, so have high hopes.
Anyway, M:I 5 should be way up in the top five. M:I 5 at least beats out SpongeBob and Inside Out. This message will self-destruct in five seconds.
This is the best movie EVER! The storyline was well written and so reminiscent of the old Mission T.V. shows. The cast was great, especially the female lead. Cruise always delivers, just always! Plot twists, action, appropriate violence, car chases, high tech, special effects, it's all in this movie. Only thing missing was maybe a cameo by old T.V. mission stars.
Number 14 on the list? Are you kidding me? You're telling me that Hotel Transylvania 2 and San Andreas were better than Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation? Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens hasn't even come out yet and it's number 5! come on now!
I loved The Revenant. I can understand that it was a little hard to watch at times, but the acting was incredible and the cinematography was some of the best I have ever seen, among other things. What I absolutely cannot understand is this movie being below Minions. Minions is an absolute piece of garbage made for the sole purpose of extracting as much money as possible from young children.
If there was ever a movie that totally absorbed your reality and made you feel like you were there, this is it. Masterful storytelling without a reliance on dialogue, although the acting was great. The cinematography is otherworldly and it should have won best picture (but I can understand the academy's choice). Simply a beautiful film that will surely stand the test of time.
This movie captured the view of if you were right there watching it happen. The makeup and costumes looked extremely and scaringly real so how is it so far down the list it's better than inside out and all the others, only reason it's not higher than inside out is because to many children come on this site. This movie was gritty, realistic, and intense.
Leonardo DiCaprio get Oscar award for a best actor in revenant and the revenant got Total 3 Oscar and Golden Globe award too and the Ravenent and nominates 12 Academy Award including best picture of the year like mad Max Fury Road spotlight this picture is clearly awesome and you can believe that
Easily the best FaF movie. The action was phenomenal, but unlike some of the other movies, this one has great story and characters as well. Plus, it had a great send off for Paul Walker, while still making him seem like he was still there (plus the song at the end is terrific)
Overall, a movie that surpasses every expectation you could have about it, and the best Fast and Furious movie yet.
Fast and furious 7 it must surely come under top 5 because this movie has earn lot more profit than compare to the last six movie of furious. Yes it is true even if u compare to all the parts including furious 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 furious it is less earn than 7
I love fast & furious franchise especially this furious 7 but the best and sadness part it shows dedicated late paul walker and of course we miss him so much because he such a great & humble actor especially lovable to his daughter.never forget his smile every time I heard see you again by Charlie puth.
A great movie and great tribute to Paul Walker. Made the death of the actor seem a life transformation for cast and family alike
This is a great movie! On my list its number 2. Love the ROCKY BALBOA series! (I wish the music that's in the other Rocky movies in it though) The other Rocky movies are better, but its funny and fun!
Michael B. Jordan was terrible in Fantastic Four but it was not his fault that the movie was terrible. Michael B. Jordan improved allot in Creed.
I'm just going to point out that jurassic world is above this and probably 25 other movies top 3 for sure
An amazing movie starring Michael B. Jordan. Was an awesome movie, plot is amazing.
This was an improvement over its dreadful predecessor but still lacking in a couple of elements.
I found Christoph Waltz to be a weak villain, particularly as Blofeld.
His performance is consistently good but I hate the whole adopted-brother childhood vendetta situation. It's like he's saying, my dad adopted you and he liked you more then me, is just absolutely dreadful and reduces Blofeld to being a whining toddler begging for a toy.
But them opening credits...
Oh, dear sweet Lord, Jesus flippin' Christ, any other possible positive
religious exclamations you can put in there, because that sequence is absolutely STUNNING.
Overall, Spectre is an improvement, but still not fantastic.
Maybe not the best bond movie, but it's still a solid 8/10 movie. I loved the whole beginning sequence with the day of the dead. My only criticism of the movie is the main bad guy wasn't in the movie enough. But another great bond flick.
Daniel craig does it again. This movie was a bit more 'personal' than the others, since we got to know a little bit about bonds family. Which made the fim more charming. Combine that with the spectacular stunts snd scenery and you e got a very good movie!
Why did it have so many drinking liquor scenes. Every time they are in a building, they take a sample cup, pour the liquor in it, and chug it down.
Thought this was an intense, no idea what is coming next, sort of movie. It kept me on the edge of my seat because of the intensity of the story. Didn't need action scenes as there were plenty of scenes that were fast acting and in your face shocking. The plot was constructed so tightly and the scenes came with so many unexpected elements. Top 5 for sure. The choice of actors was awesome too. I plan to see it again!
Really liked this and sequel
Well written-better acted
Del Toro back to his best.
Although this is a hit for children, I really enjoyed this film. I am 17 and have been a fan of SpongeBob since I was born. I love the fact that this movie has jokes that are centered for kids, but jokes that if you watch and listen closely, are geared for those of a more mature, or immature, mindset. It is a great family movie, and also a great movie if you want to sit down and laugh at some corny jokes. All around a 9/10 movie though. The movie had a long runtime, and could've featured a lot more in that time, but I feel like this movie is on par with the previous movie, and hopefully Nickelodeon can find more elaborate ways to include SpongeBob outside of T.V.-only airings.
After a decade of declining, halfwit shock humor on the show, this movie brings SpongeBob back to its former glory. The humor is much more reminiscent of the crazy yet clever jokes of the first 3 seasons, and it pays off very well. There are a few things that aren't so great, like the seagulls being kind of annoying. But overall, a fantastic return to form for the sponge, and a change I hope will move into the show as well.
I think this movie ties with the first SB movie. They both had really immature moments (especially the first one), the first one had very little characters, this one's plot was a bit of a mess and has a super misleading title, both their animation is good, but they are both pretty funny overall. Just give this movie some time, most people still have their nostalgia goggles on when looking at the first movie.
SpongeBob is my all time favorite character. I mean, who doesn't love him? So I was on the day this movie first premiered. I love it and I suggest it should be on top 5 or something. I know many of you think that SpongeBob is only for kids, but adults can enjoy this movie too. So please Watch It and Vote It so it can be listed in top 5
A movie OUT OF THIS WORLD. People are robots. That's the message here. We are programmed by our surroundings. Our brain is our computer. We can sacrifice ourselves for love. Robots don't. It's called Soul. How can you give that to a robot. SEE the movie. See it in a quiet environment. You will feel like one.
Just because it wasn't a box office smash doesn't mean it's not a great movie. This is the best movie I've seen in a while - superb effects, editing, directing, and storytelling - and a movie that isn't even coming out this year is ahead of it.
One of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Its understandable that some people don't like it but the storyline is breathtaking and so are the special effects.
This should be in the top tens place. The movie was so underrated, it should have been a box office hit. It is amazing. If you haven't seen it, see it.
Spotlight won Best Picture, but I guess Ted 2 and Terminator Genisys were just as good...
Kidding, Spotlight was powerful, deeply moving and driven by incredible performances from an all star cast who executed beautifully written lines from the mind and direction of Tom McCarthy.
I am a catholic of 34 years and I can tell you this is all fake. This is to turn people away from our beloved priests by demonising them and calling them pedophiles. Absolute rubbish
This movie definitely deserves to be number 1.It won the the Oscar for the Best Picture. It is a way better than avengers, star wars or any other any other sci-fi movie. This film has got a good meaning and a great cast too.
Terminator genysis, insurgent, pixels and Ted 2 above this movie? This is ridiculous, such an incredible screenplay, great acting and should win best picture at the oscars
I honestly was extremely disappointed with this. You need Gru and everyone else to have a god story. The minions are not able to be the main characters in their own movie and have it be good. The only time I will watch this is when I am having a Despicable Me marathon and I have to survive through the humor lacking boredom of this awful prequel before I can actually get to the classic Despicable Me's.
I hate when people use the excuse "oh it's just for kids." Keep in mind that the first two movies of this franchise were actually enjoyable for both kids and adults alike, so of course people of all ages are going to expect something from this movie. And all they get is annoying characters that should've just stayed in the background.
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. You are all tired of minions. Whatever. I'm not. I liked this movie, the jokes were good, the climax was nicely done, there was plenty of creativity, good animation, and I still enjoy that minion humor. Minions are pretty much the zombies of kids movies, though.
This movie is nothing more than a cash grab! The humor is heartless fart jokes, lazy slapstick, etc. and most of the characters (especially the main villain, I forgot her name) are extremely bland. The entire minion cult needs to die!
Its targeted at kids. Kids would find this a good movie, adults wouldn't
Many people feared this movie would ruin the franchise like many other have done so by modernizing both the characters and settings. Well not this one. The only step forward was the animation, which blends so perfectly with hand drawn and CGI, you will get use to it fast. The story and setting is loyal to the original material, while at the same time, it gives us something new. Finally after all this time, our poor protagonist's misfortune pays off with the happy ending he so much deserved.
This should be higher, it was FANTASTIC! It's probably one of the only CGI reboots of something that actually did it right. Every character acted like they should, there were plenty of gags from the original specials and strip, and it was funny! Seriously, I don't think I've ever laughed at a movie in a theater legitimately, but I did during this movie, a lot. I grew up with Peanuts and I was scared they would butcher the franchise, but I walked out of that theater wishing to see it again.
This should be in the top five. I loved it! It had many references to the other Peanuts specials, the humor was great, the scenes with the WW1 flying ace (Snoopy) were awesome, the voice acting was great, and the CGI looks amazing! Overall, 9.7/10. Any Fan of the Peanuts can enjoy this movie. I just know it.
Loved it, it has my favorite song in it by one of my favorite singers, Meghan trainor's better when I'm dancing, and I've been a fan of peanuts even since I was little!
Spielberg + Tom Hanks = Incredible
Haven't seen but want to
Inferior to it's predecessor. The jokes aren't as funny, the characters are all sort of dumbed down, the main storyline is kind of forced, and it just didn't pay as much attention to atmosphere as the original did. Oh, and that incredibly forced fight sequence at the end... don't even get me started.
Also, I meant to say "I hate the Hotel Transylvania duology for so many reasons," rather than just "I hate Hotel Transylvania 2 for so many reasons,". Despite that, the Hotel Transylvania duology has its strengths as well as its weaknesses. - The Ultimate Daredevil
I hate Hotel Transylvania 2 for so many reasons, but I do get amazed by the swift animation and Sandler's performance. But Selena Gomez as Mavis? At least it is not Ariana Grande as Mavis.
Most underrated movie ever, people are saying, "This is retarded and dumb." well here's the thing, if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it. There, problem solved.
Who put this here it doesn't deserve an Oscar for best actor I think so many people were focused on the emotional stuff that no one realized what was happening nothing
21 jump street Molly was Brie Larson? What a waste of her talent! I loved this movie and congrats on the Oscar
This movie had me in tears. We think we are doing the best for our children but our actions can be seen as selfishness.
Is this The Room by Tommy Wiseau? If so, it deserves to be on a best movie list! I hope for a sequel!
