The Contenders: Page 10

181 Friday the 13th

I didn't like this one as much as I liked Friday the 13th part 4, I thought that was the best one.

Greatest Stalker serial killer horror move of all time. JASON IS A KING! - gibsonrock53

It's the best movie ever

Very scary

182 The Sandlot

It's a great sports movie This movie isn't on my top 20 list but it was good

Best and most funniest movie I have ever seen

183 Dazed and Confused

It's my perfect version of high school love it.

Love this flick top 200 at least

Had a copy of it on Blu-ray. - shelleyduvallfan10

Darla hated that film. - playstationfan66

184 American History X

It has Edward Norton plus a good look at white supremacy and is just such a great movie. I'm at a loss for words why it is #32. - frillysunshine

Greatest movie ever made... I'm in SHOCK this is not number ONE, much less, even on the list! The world would be a better place if everyone would watch this and understand that everyone is a human being just like you...

That film is a powerful indie film for sure! Almost perfect in my opinion in the way that the matter was discussed! The cast was fabulous, Genius Edward Norton leading and a group of youngsters: Fairuza Balk, Edward Furlong playing the most important, hard and scary parts in their Young lives and probably roles that many great and popular names would have turned down not to have it affect their reps.

An Outstanding effort.

Great movies deserves to be much higher up on this list

185 The Prestige

I've seen Heath Ledger give a sinister portrayal of the Joker, I've seen Johnny Depp play a truly charismatic antihero, and I've witnessed Brad Pitt as a hardcore alter-ego leader of Project Mayhem, but the greatest acting performance I've ever witnessed on the silver screen is Hugh Jackman in The Prestige. He adds serious emotion to the story near the beginning, and continues to amaze all the way through. This was not only a Christopher Nolan modern masterpiece, but it offered a truly legendary performance.

Brilliant performances by Bale and Jackman bring to life this brilliant story about passion and obsession. The best movies in the world are the ones you can't stop thinking about and discussing with others, and this movie takes the cake. That aha moment when I was able to put the pieces together to figure out one of the movies great mysteries was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a theater.

Christian Bale is the greatest actor of all time and Hugh Jackman is just behind him! The way they acted this is so amazing!

It is amazing movie

186 Blow

Best Story, Best Actor, Best move, Best everything.

Unbeatable. - ReMix

An amazing movie, definitely worthy of being on this list.

At least top 20 worthy. Greatest gangster movie even ahead of godfather and scarface.

The best one.

187 Scarface

Al Pacino is iconic. The Cuban in the suit is a phenomenon. A very colorful and comical crime classic.

Scarface was revolutionary at the time. Al Pacino 4 Me THe Best Actor next To Marlon Brando. This Movie deserves Nr 1 damn sure - copkiller

Favorited by many, this gangster epic is a top tale of how somebody can just crumble. Just remember when you reach the top, you can only come down.

Greatest movie of all time

188 No Country For Old Men

How is this not even on the list?!? The acting and drama and realism scared me in a way no Saw or Disturbia could - Chickenlegs

The whole movie is basically about the evolution of the dark criminal mind and how it's only getting worse, evolving to a point where not only can we not control it, but even more disturbing, we cannot understand it.

I'm surprised this gem of a film didn't make it in to the top 10, let alone the top 50! It isn't even on this list! A brilliant film, a must watch.

It is good

189 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Moves away from the "space opera" genre and instead is portrayed more as a gritty war movie; this new style works wonders along side a great narrative and outstanding actors. With the addition of amazing special effects and lighting, this has to be one of my favorite movies of all time.

It's very good I wouldn't say it was the best one though

It has lots of action and hope.

This movie was so abysmal

190 Brave

It should go higher.. I mean it's so original and not the same old 'waiting for prince charming' stuff

How is frozen higher than this movie? Ugh! Frozen is so overrated, this movie beats frozen in every way!

My favorite Pixar movie EVER! - doctorman

This should be in top 20
I love this movie - Barbados

191 Men in Black

Com on only number 165 IT Should be number 30

Will smith makes the movie great - Ajkloth

Should have a much higher rating

Oh this movie should've be number one on list

192 Space Jam

Simply put- CINEMATIC PERFECTION. Anyone who dares to say that this movie is not worthy of #1 is simply a moronic baboon.

Damn Forrest Gump is second. The people voting on this list are the meatheads who have only seen Fight Club and The Dark Knight - Samus

I like space jam but why is this the highest ranked sports movie on this list? It's so not even a top 20 sports movie lol. The first sports movie I see of all the great sports movies is space jam at 320. Seriously people! Do u have your kids vote for u lol

193 Phone Booth

Wow... The tension, the suspense, the manipulation and the ultimate "mind-f***". I don't get how on earth the people who wrote this managed to keep a guy talking to a sniper interesting for 77 minutes! There's so much to say about it... The sniper practically uses him as a rag doll, and he can't get out the phonebooth or the sniper will shoot his wife. The dude in the phonebooth (colin farrell) has to do everything he says, or he'll shoot him. To prove he ain't kidding, he shoots him in the ear. He has no clue where the sniper in the buildings is, and in the end the whole movie takes a massive twist..? Easily best movie EVER.

It takes deep risks and the fact that it is still able to keep you on the edge of your seat is mesmerising

The mystery of this movie was quite good, the person who was playing all the things was nobody but just a pizza guy - zxm

Hell yeah

194 10 Things I Hate About You

This film is perfect, Heath Ledger's best performance after Dark Knight in my opinion. We watched this as we were studying the taming of the shrew, and I was struggling to get to grips with it. This modernised version made it all make sense while being one of the most enjoyable films to watch ever made.

195 Godzilla (2014)

Better Than 1998 And Also One Of The Best Reboots - masoncarr2244

196 Jack and Jill

On wikipedia it says this is one of the worst movies of all time

Wikipedia said that it was rated one of the worst movies of all time and it is the worst movie of all time

Underrated movie of the decade. Had Adam Sandler's girly crossdressing, his annoying sister and, of course, Al Pacino. One of the girls right next to me watched it. - shelleyduvallfan10

THIS HAS TO BE A TROLL! - Himalayansalt

198 Ramona and Beezus

Please tell me whoever put this one on here was joking - nickisawesome

It's no joke. Not on this list. This site is obviously greatly influenced by very young voters, and as such, should not be taken seriously. - Ned964

Wait there is a movie?

Heart warming and hilarious - doctorman

How is this on the list?

199 Tombstone

In the top 10 western movies this ranks in the first 5. Maybe even number 1. Like the person before wrote, Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday was out standing. This movie was exceptionaly well cast. It far out distances its counter part Wyatt Earp by Costner. Even though it strayed from authenticity it still was a great movie. One I never tire of seeing. I would rate it as well or better than the westerns of Clint Eastwood and that says a lot abot me because I find him to be the greatest cowboy actor to date. I am not a John Wayne fan so his movies were not taken in to consideration.

I am voting for tombstone because the men are killing the out laws. And it has very funny parts in it. And the men are so fast at shooting and it just shows you about the west and the cowboys.

Two-thirds of the movies above deserve a place on this list, the other third make me scratch my head in confusion. Tombstone is a classic that needs to move up, please vote.

This, along with Forrest Gump and Dazed and Confused are the best. Mob movies have never been my thing.

200 Dirty Dancing

This is one amazing film! I must say it is pretty much a girlie's movie.. but a lot of the guys have got into it.. mainly because their girlfriends have persuaded them to watch once too many times hehe. Correct me if wrong though.. any guys love this film without being pressured into it? Hehe :P - ambition

Definitely the best movie ever. I've watched this movie so many times and each times seems like the first time. I cannot stop watching this movie and never get tired of seeing it again and again

This is by far the best movie that I have ever seen, wish they still made them like this, should be in top the 5, definitely shouldn't be behind Spongebob and Despicable Me 2.

The best movie EVER!
