Best Players in New York Knicks History

The Top Ten
1 Patrick Ewing Patrick Aloysius Ewing (born August 5, 1962) is a Jamaican-American retired Hall of Fame basketball player and current head coach of the Georgetown University men's basketball team.
2 Walt Frazier Walter "Clyde" Frazier is an American former basketball player in the National Basketball Association.
3 Carmelo Anthony Carmelo Kyam Anthony is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association.

#1 Carmelo Anthony, #2 Jason Kidd, #3 Chauncey Billups, #4 Steve Novak, #5 Bill Bradley. That's my top 5.

Respect to all other Knicks legends, but Melo has been the best Knick of the 21st century

Carmelo should be the best

4 Willis Reed

Too bad most people don't remember him, he was better than Patrick Ewing.

Willis is number 1 the only Knicks player ever to win a nba mvp

Much better than Ewing.

5 Bernard King

He's gotta be in the list

6 Earl Monroe

Earl played very well in Baltimore, but a falling out led Earl to play for the Kincks on November 11, 1971 and on the spot with Walt Frazier to form The Rose Royce backcourt. Critics thought that Earl and Walt would cause lots of problems for the team, instead the two would lead The Knicks to NBA Finals contenders. In the 1972 NBA Playoffs, he averaged 15.8 points and 3.3 assists in the Knicks beating Earl's former team in 6 games. in the East finals, he average 13.6 points and 3.8 assists and the Knicks beat the Celtics in 5 games before losing to the Lakers in the NBA Finals. One year later, Monroe averaged 15.5 points, 3.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds as the Knicks recorded a 55-27 record and in the playoffs they once again beat the Bullets in 5 games, they once again beat the Celtics in 7 games including game 7 at Boston Celtics. Earl then averaged 16 points and 4.2 assists as the Knicks became NBA champions. Earl was truly the Pearl

8 John Starks

Yes Starks was forever haunted by his 1994 NBA Finals Game six and Seven that may have hurt his chances of being in the Hall of Fame, but Starks was a darn good ball player. His poster dunk on Horace Grant in the 1993 NBA Playoffs will forever live in Knicks lore. Starks was also an All Star, he played in the 1994 NBA All-Star Game, and was the NBA's 6th man award winner in 1997. He made 982 3-pointers as a Knick (most ever) and was loved by the fans of New York City. His number 3 jersey should be retired by the Knicks.
