Top 10 Best NFL Offenses of All Time

The Top Ten
1 2007 New England Patriots

Wes Welker, Randy Moss AND Tom Brady on the same team for one of the highest scoring NFL offenses ever? There should be no question about it.

As patriots fan, duh I believe there the best, but 16-0 is enough to make even any fan of the game to believe it was the best team ever.

Simply the greatest team to never win the Super Bowl and arguably the greatest team ever.

2 2013 Denver Broncos

They hold most of the records in a regular season, and post season in all of NFL history and went to the superbowl. They were missing 5 starters in the big game, otherwise they would have won that! You won't find another team that can compare...not ever in the history of the game. PERIOD.

There have been many great offensive teams, but the 2013 Broncos are the ONLY team to have score 600 or more points, so no team had a better offense than they did. Sorry, delusional Patriots fans, it's true.

Logical if anyone does the math the 2013 denver team wins hands down. When you break the TD record by 5 and the passing yards for one season, they are automatically placed at #1. Argue all you want, SB win or not, it is what it is!

3 2000 St. Louis Rams

#1 - The 2000 Rams. (No, I'm not a Rams fan at all, I'm a Raiders fan) was the best offense I've ever seen. Great O-line. A QB playing as good as any QB ever has. A great running attack. Fast and reliable wideouts, running the West Coast Offense better than anyone ever has.
#2 - 1987 49ers.
#3 - 1998 Vikings.
#4 - 1992 Cowboys.
#5 - (not even mentioned) 1990 Buffalo Bills. (You know I'm not biased as they beat my Raiders 51-3 in the playoffs).
This years Viking? If anything this year's Saints should be in the top ten.
The 83 Redskins were great too, despite losing horribly in the Superbowl.

4 1998 Minnesota Vikings

I'm not being biased, but I have been a Vikings fan since the mid 80's in a Midwest town that was screaming out about the '85 Bears. But, the 1998 Vikes were the Rams even became the "Greatest Show on Turf". They had the same offensive set up. Robert Smith could run and catch the ball out of the backfield, Cris Carter was the veteran WR who could always catch any ball thrown to him. Then Jake Reed was on his game, and then the "Freak" Randy Moss! I have never seen a WR at his height and length have ridiculous speed. So Rams fans remember that no one have never put up numbers like the Vikings until the 2007 Patriots.

5 1989 San Francisco 49ers
6 2011 New Orleans Saints

Underrated and should be top 3 all time. One of the most dominant offenses in NFL history terrified opposing defenses and was one of the most fun to watch. Drew Brees was unstoppable and guaranteed his first-ballot Hall of Fame induction.

Most single season yards, Drew Brees most 300+ passing yard games, most 350+ passing yard games, most completions, highest completion %, fastest ever to 3 and 4k yards, best start in NFC history at the time, Darren Sproles most all-purpose yards, Jimmy Graham most receiving yards for TE.

7 1984 Miami Dolphins
8 2012 Atlanta Falcons
9 1983 Washington Redskins
10 1984 San Francisco 49ers
The Contenders
11 1992 Dallas Cowboys

The Triplets... that's is all. Troy Aikman handing the ball to Emmitt Smith and tossing it to Michael Irvin from behind one of the best O-lines in the history of the game. A great tight end named Jay Novachek and another great wide out in Alvin Harper. 3 rings in 4 years says a lot. The only playoff loss came from Steve Youngs 49ers in 1994 NFC Championship game. That's the caliber of team it took to outshine these guys. While I agree that the 07 pats where great, they will always have a couble *'s during the Tom Brady years. Spygate and Defategate, true or not, really hurts the reputation of the team... Namely the offense.

12 1987 San Francisco 49ers
13 2016 Atlanta Falcons

Statistically, yes. Realistically, yes. This team has been able to outrun a mediocre defense and virtually decimate any and every team they play. Oh, and they played the toughest defensive schedule of all 32 franchises

This offense has so many weapons and well balanced. If you can't score 30, you in trouble.

High flying attack see you in Houston!

14 1981 San Diego Chargers

There was nothing that "Air Coryell" couldn't do !!! They could score at will and lost the AFC championship game in -50 degree temp. The 49ers played the Bengals in the Superbowl that year and the next year the Chargers played them back to back and scored 91 points on them. Absolutely incredible to watch.

I've been watching football since 1970 I have never seen a football Kings score at will they had Pro Bowl Talent at every position on offense and a genius at coach Don Coryell or air Coryell he did the same thing with the st. Louis Cardinals

15 2011 Green Bay Packers

They went 15-1 and had the worst defense in the league. Aaron Rodgers broke the record for single season passer rating.

Anyone watching this season knew Green Bay was unstoppable on offense.

16 2004 Indianapolis Colts

Manning, edgerin james, harrison, and Wayne were a lethal combination. Manning broke the record for most touchdown passes by a qb with 48 and were one big ben tackle away from potentially going to the sb.

This is the 2nd greatest offense all time Peyton broke every record that year Also a great running game and 3 pro bowl offensive linemen.

This should easily be in the top 5 offense's of all-time. A 1600yd rusher in Edgerrin James, Peyton broke the single season record for TDs, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne 2 HOFers on either side, and Jeff Saturday at center. Is a clear cut top 5 offense

17 2009 Minnesota Vikings
18 1990 Buffalo Bills
19 1962 Green Bay Packers
20 2009 New Orleans Saints

This 2009 New Orleans Saints team averaged an impressive 32 points per game--only one point behind the 2000 Rams--while also racking up over 400 yards of offense per game. Not only that, the quarterback, Drew Brees paved the way to the championship with a 109.6 PR, having over 4300 yards of offense, while the team managed to combine another 2100 rushing yards. The 2009 Saints team earned the reputation of possessing such a capable, multi-dimensioned offense that could rip apart opponent's defenses through alternating and executing the pass and run throughout the entirety of the season--despite the three game skid starting 13-0.

21 1999 St. Louis Rams

How in the hell does "The Greatest Show On Turf" come in at #17? Their offense consisted of Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, Tory Holt, and Orlando Pace. Plus, they won the Superbowl that year, and Kurt Warner won MVP. You guys gotta change this.

As good as offense as the Broncos have today or any team of that matter, the Rams have showed and proved that they are truly the greatest and without any hesitation proved that Patriots are no match for this Rams offense.

22 2015 Carolina Panthers

Although they lost to a great defensive team in SB 50, that Cam led offense was unstoppable all year and deep into the playoffs. If they had won SB50, we are probably talking about them as one of the best teams ever!

Cam newton on offense as QB and on defense the greatest MLB Luke Kuechly... He has 591 tackles in his 4 years of football and Cam can run to gain yards and to score when the don't use their FB. I'm not a panthers fan but their great

They should be so much higher on this list. With a MVP QB leading an unstoppable offense that scared defenses, they shoulda won SB 50!

23 2018 Kansas City Chiefs

One of two to score 50 passing touchdowns, top 5 Ever, century of existence, almost got to the super bowl since 1969, BEFORE THE MERGE.

Should be top 5, at least, 3rd most points in NFL history.

24 1998 Broncos

Three Broncos are in the HOF from this offense--Shannon Sharpe, John Elway, and Terrell Davis. And they are only #22 on this list? Really?

25 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers
