Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon.
I need you to know that this is the highest rated show on Nick and the show that's last the longest and has still not been cancelled. This is better than SpongeBob ( Season 1-3 of SpongeBob was good ). Rugrats is the reason the 90s Nick is good. BUT WHY, WHY is was a show about toddlers the big game changer. I don't honestly know. It shows the life of Tommy Pickles and you the viewer get's a view of what his life is like. The only problem the show has is *Sigh* Anjelica Pickles. The main bully, the biggest brat. The 5TH main character in Rugrats. She plays the part so well that's why. Whenever she came on, viewers wanted to smack her right in the face. And from what I know, I do too. I think Nick wanted the viewer to have that reaction. But otherwise, this show is beautiful a masterpiece. Ciao
Rugrats is better than that overrated, low class SpongeBob, it deserves to be number 1. I remember watching the show since I was 4 and now I'm 18 and still watching it. I miss all 6 of the babies, Tommy, Chuckie, Phil & Lil, Dil and Kimi. They will always be my heart. How can Nick cancel this?!?! I have a baby nephew, and I want him to experience Rugrats like I did & everyone out there who grew up watching it and has kids of they're own now to see. Please I beg of you bring it back in 2014! (But not a reboot. )
I'm 11 years old and I used to LOVE the rugrats! I loved every character on that show. The rugrats was a classic nick show. Tommy and friends always found a way to make me laugh.
One of my favourite Nickelodeon shows. Unfortunately, though, however, the show went downhill once Dil Pickles came onto scene, and became unwatchable. Rugrats also had 3 movies which weren't that great to be honest. The great thing about the Rugrats was those characters. We all had those characters we loved/hated. Some of my favourite characters were Chuckie, Angelica, Chaz, Drew and Spike. I didn't really like Tommy even though he was one of the most popular ones. If only Chuckie wasn't too scared, he could've been the greatest of the bunch of Rugrats that was there. - Minforever1
Rugrats deserves number ONE! I'm 18 and used to be in love with this show! SpongeBob has changed for the worst the past few years, becoming a bit too much for young children. I can guarantee my children will be watching rugrats on Netflix much more than SpongeBob! And Avatar and Invader Zim being so far up there?!? What in the world? Children need to watch what we used to in the 90's. It's such a shame what cartoons have become now a days!
I love Rugrats SO much! It was such a master piece I love love loved it! The reason it is in 4th is because only little kids are voting on this. If you haven't seen Rugrats you must check it out. You will NOT be disappointed trust me! The music to the story is so wonderful. Rugrats will always have a special place in my heart
This show was my childhood and I still watch it to this day for nostalgia purposes. It was a well written show and had very funny moments. The only downside is that it ended years ago and that the episodes seemed to lose it's flare as it progressed, though it still contained adult jokes near the end. I'm hoping the supposed reboot brings back the greatness it had in it's first three seasons (though seasons 4 and 5 were just as good).
I totally love rugrats! I mean who can't relate to having a mean over bearing cousin? We all grew up with the kids who ate paste and worms. Who didn't root for Chuckie specially when he overcame his fear of the potty. One of my favorite episodes is The Sleepover where Tommy throws up on Angelica who of course deserves it for being such a meanie. I just love the rugrats
I used to watch Rugrats most of the time on Nickelodeon.
The show focuses on four babies Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil and of course an evil little girl Angelica and about they view life, their imaginations saving the day and how they cause all kinds of trouble. Alongside with Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, Ren and Stimpy and Invader Zim Rugrats is one of the best shows in my childhood. Beware of Angelica!
I watched it a bit when I was a kid, nothing special. But my cousin came over once and we watched an episode, and I was absolutely EMBARRASSED to have watched it. The show was awesome, but the themes made me wanna run and hide from everyone. Nevertheless, it did spawn "Why on Earth are you making chocolate pudding at 3 AM? " "Because I've lost control of my life." - Discord
He did it once cause of sleep walking and once because of an Angelica situation. - majormanafemale
Rug rats is a really pleasant show, it's simple and imaginative, it's pleasant to look at and even all the characters are likable, it's a peaceful show which involves just the imagination of a toddler, it's so cool how you create a masterpiece with just toddler with their wild imagination! - Cobbleborg
I'm 19 and the Rugrats have always been, and will always be the funniest and most clever show. It was so creative and adventurous, it made us want to go outside and play. I really wish this show would come back so the newer generations can continue to learn from it.
Rugrats is pure classic. All of these newer shows definitely are not as good as the classics and Rugrats is pure genius. I personally think it should be sitting at a comfortable spot at #2 behind SpongeBob, but there can an argument made that it was/is the greatest Nick show ever.
Best show ever. This show should be number 1. Spongebob should be replaced with rugrats. This show is very funny and it's nickelodeons best show at the time until that stupid sponge came around which basicly ruined the show. It's really funny when the babies talk and Angelica was very funny too. The first 3 seasons of spongebob were good but then it turned to garbage when it got to season 6. I really missed this show. I hope it will return just like invader zim is returning soon - YoshiApple
It's a shame that the majority of people voting are under the ages of 14. This is the greatest show Nickelodeon has ever made. You people saying iCarly is a rip off of Drake and Josh, well Drake and Josh is a rip off of Kenan and Kel!
Rugrats is so great! It was adorable for children, it's sweet and funny for both parents and kids. It's adorable and fun to watch episodes from your childhood. It's a Nostalgia attack
I enjoyed to watch Rugrats when I was a kid. My favorite characters are Tommy and Chuckie, but I didn't really like Angelica (Because she was always mean to the babies). To sum it all up, Rugrats is one of my favorite Nickelodeon shows ever!
Rugrats is the greatest show in the world from Nick from the 90s and early 2000s, I truly believe it should be number 1. Even when Kimi got on the show, I still watched it and I love it, please bring this epic show back.
Oh my gosh! I love this show it shows how good nick used to be! I think this show completely reminds me of my childhood when I used to sit down with my family and watch. Good times!
Please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE, do not watch the horrible spinoff series "All Grown Up". It will ruin all fond memories of this show.
This should be in the top two. One of my favorite cartoons of all time. This was one of the few cartoons with two films, a follow up series, and has won 20 awards. If this isn't the best show ever on Nick, I don't know what is.
I miss this show. It's truly amazing and it has so many positive feelings in it. It's not all negative like shows seem to be now in days, like ICarly and Victorious.
Rugrats was & still is the best Cartoon! It was fun for kids & parents! We need more parents on here to vote! I buy Rugrats toys (for myself) on ebay... & I'm not he only one bidding. Rugrats ROCK!
This show was my favorite when I was younger. I sometimes watch the episode to lift up my mood. Kid's telivision shows nowadays is mostly lame sitcoms on teens. I never cared for the sitcoms of my middle school days such as That So Raven, Phil of the Future, and Lizzie McGuire.
This show's okay, but stupid. In One episode " Potty Training Spike, " it had one of the worst endings I've ever seen. It had all the babies and their dog Spike, how should I put this...? Peeing in a tree. It was bad.
