My favorite song off the wall, and that's saying something. A bluesy and awesome song which is good to listen to over and over again
This song, about being disconnected from those you love, is deceptively modest. The lyrics are extremely effective, and Water has a way of straining his voice on every note to give the sing special emotional clarity. Without using any guitar, drums, bass, or otherwise, Waters wrote one of the best Floyd songs ever
I didn't think it was possible, but the song gets even sadder once you know the meanings behind it.
Why is this not on the list yet? - Duncan99
Id Give It To You If I Could, But I Borrowed It.
Anyone else confused why the best Barrett era song is the last one?
Need historical and cultural and musical depth to appreciate this song by early Floyd. got depth? Didn't think so.
This Song was my introduction to this band so it has a special place in my heart. - hy89045V 11 Comments
This song, written and played solely by David Gilmour, is extremely soothing, yet powerful. The transition to the guitar solo at the end is especially beautiful. Not only is it the most underrated Pink Floyd song, but I honestly think it's their best (well, David Gilmour's best).
This is the best song on the atom hart mother album with great lyrics and a awesome guitar solo
This song is one of the best on Atom Heart Mother and deserves to be higher.
Simply Amazing!V 2 Comments
Obscured by clouds was the most underrated album of Pink Floyd. It is my fourth favourite album tied with The Wall after Wish You Were Here, Dark side of the moon and Meddle. This song is also one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs, from the poignant lyrics about ones youthful life (done again in high hopes by David), to the energetic opening chords and pristine solo. Certainly better than Another brick in the wall or anything on The final cut.
Their most underrated song... Took me a while to realize it's worth. To me it was the first song that sounded like the Pink Floyd that was to come...
This song deserves a much better ranking. Such a great song that really shows what Pink Floyd is.
This is one of their best. Extremely underratedV 6 Comments
Come on, this is such a beautiful song. It's relaxing, soft and is my personal favorite. It's an early Pink Floyd song, so it's different, but it's a good different. You need to hear this one.
This is definitely Floyd's most underrated. Just gorgeous. I have a thing for Julia's. - PetSounds
Not top 1, but not even 41! )O(
I felt sad that I am the only person who write comment for this amazing song. Deserves top 10!
One of the best... This song has to be only in the top 10... And if you have never heard it then stop listening to Pink Floyd please you are missing the best...
This is certainly THE most under-rated and one of the best songs of Pink Floyd. It deserves to be higher up in the list!
An underrated song. It should have been in the top 5. time, echoes, dogs, the final cut, sorrow, shine on you crazy diamond
Definitely better than The Fletcher Memorial Home. It's got 'emotion', 'sensation'...V 10 Comments
What better than a hypnotic acoustic guitar instrumental in the middle of the chaos of The Wall
Look up the looped version of the guitar solo on YouTube! Amazingly relaxing.
This song is truly beautiful
This song is number 1. Comfortably numb and hey you are great song but is song in very under rated. The best most underrated Pink Floyd song ever. It is such a shame that it doesn't get much recognition. It truly is a masterpiece.
Such an amazing combination of vocals and guitar. Great beginning to the division bell (after Cluster One), which is an AMAZING album overall.
Superb guitar served up with a hypnotic drum beat and a synth sound that could be compared to songs like 'Money'
Can't believe this is the last song in the list. It is such a beautiful song. And extremely touching lyrics, I nearly cry in less than 3 minutes of song when I listen to it.
How is this so far back. This song is about the day Roger Water's father died. It's filled with emotion and rage. Not to mention the entire melody and orchestration is sublime.
#1. Pink Floyd's best song, but the song did NOT appear on The Final Cut, and I suspect the confusion about the release has held it back substantially in the ranking.
Really, really good. I can't believe it's number 70. It should be top 10 at leastV 3 Comments
How this song ain't on top 10?
It's a disrespect to Pink Floyd. I mean guys, if y'all love Pink Floyd, this song would've be on top 10.
Seriously why not in Top Ten :x No doubt the ones above are good too but this song is just class apart
This, A New Machine, and One Slip. Three underrated Pink Floyd Songs.
Amazing work of art.V 8 Comments
By far the greatest Pink Floyd song ever!
Nothing beats this extended psychedelic jam, where else could you hear Roger in such fine form vocally?!
The guitar playing is wonderful. - BaldSpoon
Great lives versions of this song. The screaming is terrifying.V 6 Comments
The bass at the end along with the synthesizers is one of Pink Floyd's signature infinite tones, (comfortably numb, welcome to the machine, hey you, etc. )
This song is what I will always remember Pink Floyd for... I don't know how it is near the bottom of the list
I'd love it's melodious guitar riff and makes me obsessed of it and then it wasn't boring to listen to it though it has only a brief lyrics. Guys please vote to climb this song to #10.
I think it is Pink Floyds best song!V 1 Comment
Far the best song of all time by the Pink Floyd in my opinion. The lyrics and music are both extremely fantastic. The coda with that organ solo is one of Rick's finest work. - gabegyebnar
The organ solo at the end is mesmerizing - RalphSaadV 1 Comment
This is probably best song from division bell... please vote for this at least top 25
Come on... This should be at least top 20 or soV 4 Comments
Awesome song the most psychedelic track from their discography I LOVE IT I'll KEEP listening it and you must too!
Great chorus, great guitar solo, great keyboard solo.
This is Probably the best Pink Floyd song... The electric guitar, Hawkin's voice, progressive rock... Just amazing... Love it... All we gotta do is make sure we keep talking'!
Not even in the top 10? We have to fix that! Please get this into at least the top 20, it is one of the best in like ever! It should be right there with another brick in the wall, comfortably numb, time, money, you name it!
Definitely agree with that statement. Should really be in the top 10, it's a short song but reminds me of tunes like comfortably numb and hey you.
Makes you feel so much unconventional emotions and intensity : passing from fear to joy to fear to joy... Short but we wouldn't need more.
This should be in the top 25. - PowerfultekinV 6 Comments
The guitar part of this song takes the heart out of me and pounds it more than a thousand times... Though I am a fan of heavy metal but no other riff has this sort of psychedelic effect on me as this song does... Awesome lyrics and vocals... Sad to see this so down the list! :(
The guitar is amazing.. The song has so much depth.. Lyrics transcend all the boundaries... Sad to see this song so down the list
One of the best Floyd song ever. Don't know what is wrong with people if they disagree with that. The start is so amazing.
55! come on
its true this song isn't better than Comfortably numb, hey you, aniw p 2,keep talking, high hopes but easily is one of the best
if we are very bad guy 20!
i smoke cigarette
listen to this
Man, I love this song. Short and sweet!
Great soothing song similar to 'coming back to the life'... If that song is so high onthe list. This should there too.. Great voice of gilmour
I must with in top 15. How on earth a master piece like this is on 51. Please vote up.
Poles Apart is a song written by Gilmore about Syd Barret and Waters. Wonderful and meaningful lyrics. It describes the war of ego between Waters and Barret.
Great song guys... I think many floyd fans also may not have heard it... It so easily rivals '"coming back to the life".. Equally soothing music and great vocals from gilmour
Very very very underrated song, just listen to it please.V 9 Comments
Frankly I'm surprised that someone even entered this masterpiece into this website. It's one of those songs that you can't find on any albums by Pink Floyd because they only did it live. Anyone who has heard this song though knows that it is 10 minutes of pure early Gilmour era floydian psychedelic spiciness. A shame it was never studio recorded.
Shame the studio version sucked. This was awesome at concerts. - NickelstickmanV 1 Comment
