Best Pop Singers of the 21st Century
Dimash is a totally mind-blowing singer: a great voice with a 5-octave range, a timbre of rare beauty, and perfect skills. He is a great performer - captivating and charismatic - and a cool dancer. His extraordinary stage presence always leaves the audience mesmerized.
Dimash is a young 23-year-old singer from Kazakhstan. His musical and vocal abilities are phenomenal! Today, he has the largest vocal range in the world, with 6 octaves and 1 note (including a whistle register) and 5 working octaves. And this is not the limit, as he has naturally flexible and long vocal cords that have been perfectly developed since the age of 5. He has received training in an academic singing school and is currently a third-year student in variety singing. He is fluent in all available vocal techniques, including Bel Canto. He possesses extensive knowledge of breathing techniques as well. Currently, he is creating a new music genre called Neoclassicism, which encompasses all available singing and vocal styles. Dimash is widely regarded as the best singer in the world!
Mars rose to fame in 2010 with the release of the successful singles "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy, both of which featured his vocals on the hooks. His debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010)... read more
Continuously making songs that hit the top charts is not a piece of cake, but Mars makes it seem that way. The best pop artist of this century, definitely, no doubt.
I saw the list and expected Bruno Mars to be at the top, but then I saw him here, at number 8. Besides being shocking, this is complete trash. Bruno Mars deserves a top 5 position for sure, if not the first.
One of the few singers who sound better live than in the studio, and doesn't need to cover up with flashy lights and auto-tune. His songs always have soul and energy.
On the start of her career, she performed at an event called the Lollapalooza Festival during 2007 whereby a record label company Interscope found her due to her performance being “amusing” to watch. Since Interscope found her, she was a mastermind behind her songs with... read more
Pop Queen. Icon. Advocate. Legend. She is one of the best singers of her age, covering a large variety of genres that can captivate any listener regardless of gender, age, race, or sexual orientation. Her talent and abilities can rival those of her generation and sell out as much as any hit artist in the spotlight. She revolutionized pop music, brought art and life into an industry that was much needed, and with her own unique personality and persona, can outshine any other in entertainment. She also is a grand advocate of love and equality, which she dedicates her music to, encouraging people to get out of their shell and interact with other genres. One of many in the industry, she stands out from everybody in the music industry.
Alongside Beyoncé, Gaga is easily head and shoulders above modern mainstream Western pop stars in terms of objective vocal ability. As a true mezzo-soprano, she has incredible power in her voice that seems almost effortless. Her voice and ability are also such that they transcend genre. She can sing anything. Be it musicals, ballads, country, rock, pop, jazz, she has even shown she has the pipes for a metal collaboration with Metallica. She is rightfully considered one of the very best vocalists today and among the best in the Western canon.
He's a good singer and writes his own music and has even written one for Justin Bieber. I admire him, but I can understand why he's so low on the list.
He's an average singer with good range. Some of his music is good too.
This must be a pretty old website because Eddie is amazing!
Adele is more than an icon. She is the embodiment of everything we should be teaching our kids. She is humble, friendly, but isn't afraid to speak her mind when it is the right time. Not to mention her stunningly amazing voice, which, by the way, is not auto-tuned in any way. That's why her live shows are a gift from God.
She's great. She's a shot in the arm for the industry. She writes her own music that's not at all contrived. And she's managed to sell loads of records, which makes her a great example for younger artists. Her voice is serene. It can lift you up anytime. Love you, Adele.
Wow, this is just an inspiration for what life is like for pop stars. I found out that this is an amazing website for all people who are determined to learn and find out the truth about the origins and impact of these pop stars.
Thank you,
Your recommendation, Olivia Brown
Hands down, Rihanna is definitely one of the best of all time! Literally, she's so good! She is the richest female musician in the world, with a whopping $600 million! She is the best-selling female artist of all time, after Madonna. She has the most #1 hits as a female pop singer of all time, after Mariah Carey (14 #1s)! Literally, every single song will become a hit.
She's great. Her vocals are amazing even during her live performances. She should be above Adele. Eminem is a rapper! Why is he above all the pop stars? I mean, it's true that the rap god is the best rapper, but placing him above Rihanna and others is unfair.
Her 2000s songs are too damn catchy, and they really audio-visualize the vibe of this time period for me, if you know what I mean.
She developed an interest in country music when she was around nine years old. After watching a documentary about Faith Hill, Swift felt inspired to go to Nashville to begin a country music career. Subsequently,... read more
Taylor is not like the best singer ever. She IS the best singer ever, at least of our century. She's no doubt the queen of pop music. And it's not just that. She's also ruled in the field of country music. With her voice, she is capable of singing almost all types of songs. Take her dreamy country song Love Story, then consider Safe and Sound, and then move to Shake It Off and finally to Look What You Made Me Do. She has sung all of them perfectly, and the last two have also topped the Billboard Hot 100. She certainly deserves to be at the top of this list. Come on, guys, vote for Taylor Swift!
T Swift, why are you down here? You should be higher than this. People, vote more for T Swift! T Swift! T Swift! I love Adele's songs as well, but Taylor Swift has amazing songs. Why is Adele in sixth? And I heard about that ultimate Christmas surprise thing you did for that 96-year-old fan. That was so nice, kind, and sweet. I bet he loved it! And I also heard about the Christmas gifts you were giving away to fans! That's so loving and caring of you. After all, sharing is caring. You are beautiful as well. I once put on makeup, even though I don't like wearing it because I'm sporty, not super fashionable, and I pretended I was singing Bad Blood. I love you and your music. Come on, people. Let's vote for T Swift! WOOHOO! YEAH! (P.S. I sing your songs in the shower all the time, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. ;)
Their voice is really amazing. One of the first non-binary singers.
He should be on top. Best vocals of this generation.
Pitbull is awesome. Justin Bieber sucks eggs.
Amy Winehouse is such a unique jazz singer with her own brilliant voice and image. Whether you liked her music or not, one thing's for sure: she was one of the most talked-about celebrities. It's an absolute tragedy that she died and how she died so young. If only she could fight her addictions, but it wasn't meant to be. There was too much going on, and she just couldn't cope. R.I.P., Amy.
She's the best singer ever in this century. With her music that is relatable and so unique, nobody else can replace her. She will live on for centuries to come and inspire so many people.
Distinctive vocals, immense presence, lyrical genius, and amazing musicianship. The lady is the full package. Can't get enough of her.
Despite her controversial songs, Brent Staples from "The New York Times" claimed her to be 'the most influential female rapper of all time', presumably... read more
I love her real voice. Love Pound the Alarm and Starships!
Amazing at everything. Love Starships!
Levine began his musical career in 1994, when he co-founded the band Kara's Flowers, of which he was the lead vocalist and guitarist. The band split up after their only album, The Fourth World, which did not gain popularity. In 2001, the group was reformed – with guitarist... read more
Can't stop loving this guy. My family and I love him so much and are so captivated by his songs. Go, go, go, Adam and Maroon 5, best band for me!
I love this man and his songs, and he will be forever in my heart, promise!
He is my favorite person, and I really enjoy all of his songs. I really want to meet him in person.
Not the best, but one of my favorites. I just love her style.
Awesome singer from One Republic. One of the greatest vocal ranges from someone who's not a woman that I've ever heard.
What? That much less for someone like her? You gotta listen to her song. Her voice is so hard to achieve. Such a talented person deserves a top 5 spot. How can Ke$ha be before her? Autotune can never reach her amazing voice! Avril Lavigne is extremely talented!
Love Avril. She's always in perfect pitch when singing live. She might be shy, but that doesn't stop her from putting her real self out there.
I really like the song I Will Be. It's the most beautiful song ever!
What the hell is Enrique doing in position 14? People, he should be 1. Have you all heard his new song Heart Attack? It rocks. He has started to sing better nowadays, but he used to sing well before too. Please vote.
This list is wrong. Enrique must be at the top of the list. His voice is amazing. Enrique should be after Michael Jackson. That idiot Justin Bieber should be at the bottom of the list.
He really sings from the heart. He knows what music is. He is the best. In short, he is just brilliant and awesome.
I can listen to her voice forever! I just have to say that she is the best vocalist and tends to be a little underrated. She deserves to be much more well-known by the world! I hope one day everyone will listen to Christina, because just hearing her will make you fall in love!
Taylor Swift higher than Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera? Are you kidding me? Christina has an amazing vocal range, superior to Taylor, and better songs too. Katy Perry puts much more creativity into music than Taylor Swift's boring, uncreative, rude music.
She's a music chameleon! She can literally switch to any genre without problems and still sound like the master of it. She's definitely the most evolutive singer of our times.
Beyoncé is the best, hands down. Nobody can ever step to her and demand her crown. She is in her own lane and is swerving.
How can Queen Bey not be in the top 5? Almost all the artists above her are inspired by her.
Lemonade and her self-titled 2013 album are some of the greatest albums of the 2010s.
Cher continues to tour in the 21st century.
She starred in the movie "Mamma Mia 2."
She released her successful "Dancing Queen" album.
She is currently working on a sequel to her "Dancing Queen" album.
She's going to release a perfume.
SHE'S DOING PLENTY!
Cher has had hits for five decades. From Sonny & Cher to Believe, Cher has done it all!
Best pop singer of every century.
Demi is honestly one of the most underrated singers and vocalists of this generation. Many people brush her off as being "just another pop artist," but her vocals are truly out of this world and amazing. Her voice carries so much emotion and strength. Not only is she incredibly talented, she's also extremely inspiring and a great role model for teenagers to look up to. She speaks out against bullying and is an advocate for mental health and sobriety, as well as using her voice to spread awareness about social issues happening around the world. She definitely deserves to be higher up on the list.
Demi Lovato's vocal range is amazing. She can sing up to an A5 in chest voice, and her ability to emote is uncanny. Her songs are deep and showcase complex messages. Above all, Demi is a perfect role model of inner beauty. Having been through depression and self-harm, she comes out ready to help others and save lives.
Does much more really need to be said? Decent beats (although not made by him), decent lyrics, regardless of whether or not they were all basically around the same premise. The top ten in this list at the moment are pathetic.
Pure epicness. Lots of awesome songs, especially Mirrors (lyrically), Suit and Tie (catchiness), and My Love (beat). Great!
I don't really listen to his music, but he has a great and unique voice.
