The Top Ten
Best Power Metal Album...Nice vocal by Kiske
I think it is the best metal album from here to ETERNITY!
My favorites are, in no particular order:
Nightfall in Middle Earth by Blind Guardian
Land of the Free by Gamma Ray
Sonic Firestorm by Dragonforce
Virus by Heavenly (not really sure if that's progressive or power though)
This is my second favorite power metal album and my favorite IE album wolf damien dracula frankenstein jerkyll and hyde and phantom of operea ghost are ausome
An album that is a bit heavier, a bit progressive, a bit experimental. What can be better?
This album improved the idea of power metal in 1992.
It also contains the first symphonic metal song - Theatre Of Pain (or the 2nd after Rainbow's Eyes Of the World, 1979, but I prefer to call Rainbow song proto-symphonic metal).
More serious than Part 2
I love the second part but the first one is puro gold, need to be number one
Great Album - Master Kiske in Bestform
This album, combined with it's predecessor, Epica, is an awesome journey in an epic modern tale resembling Goethe's Faust
The quintessential power metal album, victim of fate, absolutely amazing guitar work.
This isn't a power metal album though
Maybe the best album of all time.
Really deserves #1.
Thank you helloween and thank you god of power metal kai hansen.
A masterpiece by one of the greatest power metal projects. Farewell is beautiful.
Every single song in this album is fantastic! The vocals are top notch. The guitar solos are well made, the drumming is epic! Some of the songs in this album are remakes of demos they worked on for many years, the effort invested matches the product.
My favorite power metal album without question.
Best album by Sonata Arctica
Why is this amazimg album so far down below the likes of A Night at the Opera and At the Edge of time? Both of those albums are among the worst albums in Blind Guardian's catalogue.
Why is this album so low on this list?
Every track? Every note!
I’m surprised this is so low on the list. in my opinion this is the best of BG’s albums - definitely the most balanced (literally *every* track on here is good)
