3 Steven Gerrard Steven George Gerrard (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former Liverpool player who currently manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

Deserves to be behind only to the great Thierry Henry, and (debatable) Alan Shearer possibly. No man carried a team like this man. The only reason any of you don't see how good he was is because you are looking at how the teams with him in it didn't always win. But what you are missing is that, those were actually terrible squads for the majority of the time, and he absolutely carried them for long periods. The Champions League win in 2005 sums it up completely. That is the worst squad to ever win the Champions League, yet they won it beating teams like AC Milan, who at the time were the best team in the world by an absolute mile...why? Steven Gerrard.

He should be in the top 5 for sure. He has got amazing quality and he has been the best English player for quite some time now. He is a living legend.
