To be honest they should be in the top 5.

I think they're so low due to lack of a long successful career but the music stands up and should be top 20.

Hocus pocus was a great song and they should be higher

Great mostly-instrumental band. Very unique sound. desserves top 20

131 The Beatles The Beatles The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were soon known as the foremost and most influential act of rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat, and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented more.

The Beatles are the greatest band of all time no doubt. However, they aren't a prog rock band.

I agree, they aren't a prog rock band, but they were an influential band for many prog rock bands like Pink Floyd. And A day in the life and Happiness is a warm gun are progressive. - DarkSideOfDragons

132 Asia

They are Yes's rivals and they are all the way back here. Such a shame to see the direction changing in our youth. Like seriously, Muse? System of a Down? Deep Purple (They are a good band but not prog rock).

I liked Asia and Alpha but they are not prog... - SammySpore

133 The Alan Parsons Project The Alan Parsons Project The Alan Parsons Project were a British progressive rock band, active between 1975 and 1990, consisting of Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson surrounded by a varying number of session musicians and some relatively consistent band members such as guitarist Ian Bairnson, bassist and vocalist David Paton, more.

Deserves a higher position because is much better than many of those above.

Best band ever, years ahead of their time, loved by the few who know them, unknown to the masses.

One of my fovorite bands. Pure magic in the lyrics and music.

137 System of a Down System of a Down System of a Down formed in 1994 as an Armenian-American Nu Metal group from Glendale, California . The band name is sometimes shortened to System or SOAD. more.

This is not even close to prog... :/ - SammySpore

138 Clan of Xymox
139 New Trolls
140 Moon Safari

Moon Safari is without a doubt, one of the best progressive rock bands to come out in a very long time. They manage to keep the spirit of the prog from the 70s and then put their own flavor on it. You should listen to their album "Blomljud". Truly impressive stuff.
