81 Cassandra Gemini - The Mars Volta
82 Metropolis, Part 1: the Miracle and the Sleeper - Dream Theater

I'm not going to go on about how one of my favourite songs didn't get in the top ten, but I will say that this inspired an entire concept album, and many of you should go and see for yourself just how great it is to be able to do this!

83 The Dance of Eternity - Dream Theater

Just..flawless!

84 Rhayader Goes to Town - Camel

One of the best guitar solos ever...

85 The Prophet's Song - Queen

Folks, if you went to this website to discover a song/band/music that will blow your mind by its difficulty, originality, remarkable syncopation, and most importantly physical/emotional response (i.E. goosebumps/tears/headbanging, you hardcore music lovers know what I mean! ), then check out this song, the amazing part is the acapella vocal Mercury does in perfect pitch using a Echoplex (the goto popular delay machine of the 70's).

86 Song for America - Kansas

I'm shocked as to how many prog fans don't know that Kansas is progressive, explaining why this song is often left out of "Top 10 prog songs" lists. It's a must-have song for any progressive rock fan.

Musical genius... This song showcases Kerry Livgren's composing skill and each member's skill on their perspective instruments without a hint of flashiness. This is Livgren's finest composition and deserves to be remembered as one of the greatest progressive rock songs of all time.

87 Change - Karnivool

The entire "Sound Awake" album by Karnivool is amazing; Change (Pt. 2) is the culmination of the album and is, in my personal opinion, one of the best tracks written in this genre

A truly amazing song from an even more amazing album, Karnivool are probably the best prog band to have emerged in the last decade. Listening to the album "Sound Awake" from start to finish is almost a life changing experience and Change is the perfect way to end the elbum.

88 Ommadawn, Part One - Mike Oldfield
89 Hocus Pocus - Focus

It's just a brilliant song. What a riff. What guitar solos. The most clever guitarist of the generation, almost every generation. A yodeller. What you get is classic rock, progressive rock and renaissance influences, and you get a song that should easily be in the top 10 of the progressive rock genre. Incredible musicianship - this is one of the most underappreciated rock bands of all time. Not to mention one of the most underappreciated epic songs of all time. Please upvote so everyone can witness the brilliance of FOCUS.

90 Limelight - Rush

It Is Undoubtedly One Of The Best Rush Songs..

62? Are you f kidding meh?

91 Goodbye Stranger - Supertramp

There are a lot of Supertramp's prog rock songs too much better than this... "Fool's overture", "Crime of the century", "Babaji", "A soapbox opera", "Gone Hollywood", "Try again", "Waiting so long", etc...

Finally, a Supertramp song! And it's not even their proggiest. "Fool's Overture" should be included in the top 20 in my opinion. - PetSounds

92 Punky's Whips - Frank Zappa

Creative, crazy song with great musicians. Terry Bozzio on drums and Frank on guitar.

93 Deliverance - Opeth

Very progressive music with a lot of different soft and hard parts.

You deaf idiots you put all the garbage on top and OPETH at 55 go check your ears.

94 Flying - Anathema

This songs is fantastic one of the best last 4min songs ever.

One the best songs I have ever heard :((

95 The Spirit of Radio - Rush V 1 Comment
96 Atom Heart Mother - Pink Floyd

What I love about this song is that it's haunting, melancholic, dramatic, mellow, humourous and weird but also beautiful. David's solo is very underrated and is, in my humble opinion, the first one where he really shines. I love the orchestra and choir, I love Rick playing that simple keyboard riff whilst being accompanied by a violin and I love the "chorus". It's a track that needs to be played occasionally. While there are other prog rock songs that might be sligthly better, this one is a masterpiece, and it deserves to be higher on this list.

Definitely needs to be on this list. I always have chills listening to this incredible masterpiece, which makes you go through so many emotions.
