43 Matthew Tuck Matthew Tuck Matthew "Matt" Tuck is a Welsh musician. He is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in the Welsh heavy metal band Bullet for My Valentine.

Matt Tuck is amazing. He plays guitar, is the lead singer and does screaming as well, how much better can you get? Bullet would be lost without him, and then even though he's a rhythm guitarist, he can step up and play solo' just like Padge. Listen to the solo of Heart's Burst Into Fire by Bullet For My Valentine and you will hear Matt's talent.

What a rhythm guitarist for this generation. Without matt there is no Bullet For My Valentine

Just listen Alone and Waking The Demon;
Such a hard riffs and he sing over them

44 Richie Sambora Richie Sambora Richard Stephen "Richie" Sambora is an American rock guitarist, producer, singer and songwriter who was the lead guitarist of the rock band Bon Jovi for 30 years.

Richie always be the best their is, the best there was, and the best their will be...

47 Joe Strummer Joe Strummer John Graham Mellor, known by his stage name Joe Strummer, was a British musician, singer, actor and songwriter who was the co-founder, lyricist, rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist of the Clash.

The Clash wouldn't be what they were without Joe laying down a steady beat.

Just listen to London Calling, Brand New Cadillac and Train in Vain

The dude took the name "Strummer"! Once he did that he had to be great. His abilities really shine in the Mescaleros.

Bad ass!

54 Daron Malakian Daron Malakian Daron Vartan Malakian is an Armenian–American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer.

Daron can keep a REALLY fast, amazing, beat with a guitar, while singing almost the whole time in many of the newer songs. Extremely talented.

I keep trying to convince people that he is a guitar virtuoso but they wont believe me but seriously try playing one of his songs you'll see - Miles101

57 Bob Weir Bob Weir Robert Hall "Bob" Weir is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist, most recognized as a founding member of the Grateful Dead.

Awesome guitar player. He knows that instrument possibly better than any other rhythm player. He can play a particular note a handful of different ways all over the neck. China Cat Sunflower is a great showcase of his talent. In the main riff, he's the guy playing notes on the high end. During Jerry's solos, his classic rhythms drive the song beautifully. Great improviser. He jams notes in between Jerry's that are just so tasty - especially his harmonics.

Seriously, THE best rhythm guitarist of all time. His rhythm is inspired by not other rhythm guitarist, but instead jazz piano. Different genre, as well as a different instrument. He plays with so many different fills, and they are all over the place. Amazing.

Rhythm guitar is about ensuring the songs move forward and filling gaps. Weir does both creatively and instinctively. Frequently, he would play counterpoint to Garcia's leads, giving the music a richer sound and broader context.

Weather report suite, just listen to that song and you'll know why bobby is so good

59 Mike Shinoda Mike Shinoda Michael Kenji "Mike" Shinoda is an American musician, rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, graphic designer, manager and film composer.

Best rhythm guitarist and the best rapper! Linkin Park rocks, Mike Shinoda for the win!

I think LP are a pretty underrated band in terms of technique, sure, there are a milestone of bands that are more technical than LP, but I think Mike is just a great guitar player and he's the mastermind behind Linkin Park, he's my idol - Nintendonix

Mike Shinoda is at 50!
Rapper-lyricist-Guitarist- pianist of the greatest band of 00's doesn't deserve to be at 50! Come on!

60 Brian Jones Brian Jones Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones was an English musician, the founder and the original leader of the Rolling Stones.

Just listen to his rhythm guitar on Around and Around. It anchors the whole song. It has great feel and intensifies as the song goes on. It gives Keith the freedom to play his guitar part.

When you're with The Stones, you gotta rock.

Because he's the best rock star ever!
