The Top Ten

1 Don't Stop Believin'- Journey

No one ever sounded better on vocals than Steve Perry in this classic!

Simply the most epic rock anthem ever made!

2 We are the Champions- Queen

Can be overplayed a LOT but nothing beats this. It's a CHAMPION song and it came from a CHAMPION BAND performed countless times by a champion man named Freddie Mercury. I don't know if anyone would ever be able to beat what awesomeness this song holds. Oh... And where's WE WILL ROCK YOU?! :/ the number one picked song is a LIE.

Should be higher... Freddie Mercury was the King (uh... Queen) of Rock Anthems... ever see the vids of "Queen" at live concerts? And where is "We Will Rock You"?

This is a song of champions, by champions, for champions. It should be #1 like the champion it is!

Nothing to say about it. Really.

4 I Love Rock n Roll - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

This is top ten. For sure. Play it for any five year old and they get it.

5 My Generation- The Who

Amazing bass in this awesome song. The Who's generation was simply amazing! I hope that people would vote this as number one!

6 Rock 'n Roll All Nite - KISS

People know this song before they know KISS. It's the greatest rock and roll anthem ever made, should be on top in my opinion. The song is rock and roll, it makes everyone want to "rock and roll all night and party everyday"

KISS is notorious for making epic rock anthems, but not even Beth or Detroit Rock City can top this song, easily the greatest rock and roll song ever written

7 I Was Made For Lovin' You - KISS

People, for whatever reason, hated this song when it first came out. However, KISS didn't care, as Paul Stanley said, "KISS doesn't play by your rules", the band continued to play to song for years in a more heavy rock and roll version. This song should be higher up I think

8 For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) - AC/DC

The most epic song ever. Everything perfect: riffs, drums, bass, vocals and cannons.

9 Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

Immortal 80's. All kudos in the world to AC/DC, Who, Queen, etc. as reliably good bands, but Bon Jovi knocked this song out the park.

? Radar Love - Golden Earring

The Contenders

11 Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

This song deserves to be number one on this list for the huge effect it had on music and society, the intensity of the music and lyrics, and the catchiness of the tune. A brilliant song for sure!

nirvana was truly the best kurt cobain had the real power in his voice

I grew up to Journey and Queen, and other greats, but Peaked with smells like teen spirit.

Should be in top three. This song started a generation.

12 (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
13 Shout It Out Loud - Kiss

"Don't let em tell ya that there's too much noise, they're to old to really understand", the culmination of Gene and Paul in lead vocals makes this song fantastic. The song is all most as catchy as rock and roll all nite. I think this song should be in the top ten spot at least

14 The Final Countdown - Europe

This is a great high energy anthem rock song!

15 Free Bird- Lynyrd Skynyrd

If you know it - a comment isn't necessary.

Millenials need to know what real rock is...the sounds of their parents

16 Highway to Hell- AC/DC

The riff is unmistakable! This song started AC/DC's international careers and it was Bon Scott's greatest song! Amazing song!

My favorite song by AC/DC along with Let There Be Rock. Bon Scott had a truely unique voice and will be missed by millions around the world - Danielsun182

17 Paradise City - Guns N' Roses

The intro in itself speaks wonders. Then, you progress into one of the best heavy metal riffs of all time, with Axl Rose and his classic, one-of-a-kind sound. Then, the end is simply insane, with Axl screaming, Slash shredding, Duff rocking out, Izzy doing his thing, and then Steven beating the crap out of the drums. Easily #1.

Awesome anthem... Even better to see live than on the album...

18 It's a Long Way to the Top - AC/DC
19 Born to Be Wild- Steppenwolf
20 Thunderstruck - AC/DC
