Best Rock Band Names

By bands I mean rock, not stupid pop groups, and this is how cool the name is not how great the band is.

The Top Ten

This list is biased. This shouldn't be at number two or even be in the top ten. Metallica is probably the most generic band name ever. It describes their music well but it isn't creative at all and when I heard about this band I was debating whether or not I should give it a chance because the band name is so stupid. They are a great band though, or at least were a great band.

Gods of Metal...name well suits..

I was actually thinking about metallica being the best band name right before I came in to this list! I must be lucky!

Best name and best band on this list. No Doubt about it

I'm currently forming a band, but the one thing we seem to be unable to do is name it. Whenever I think of a band, I like to use Led Zeppelin as the perfect example of a band name, because everything about it is perfect. You'd expect a band called Led Zeppelin to be hard rock, and they are the godfathers of hard rock. It rolls off the tongue well unlike Avenged Sevenfold or Panic! At the disco, it doesn't mean too much and isn't trying to be too deep like Pink Floyd is, both words work together and are pleasurable to hear unlike Metallica or Creedence Clearwater Revival. It does everything right and there isn't a thing you can say against it.

It sums up their sound- incredibly heavy but with enough light moments to get off the ground and fly in the sky. Plus the second most successful band ever (behind The Beatles) got their name from a saying meaning going to fail.

I think Led Zeppelin is one of the best band names ever! It should be far more up on this list!

It sounds like a dudes name but it's not. It's funky sounding. It's a B rhyme.

All around dope ass name
