Best Scooby Doo Animated Movies

We all grew up watching cartoons and Scooby Doo was always my personal favourite. If there is one thing I loved more then the series, it was the movies. Scooby Doo always made great movies and I want to know what your personal favourite is. Please don't add the live action movies and please leave comments!
The Top Ten
1 Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island

While I can’t say it’s my number one favorite, Zombie Island still has beautiful animation, reasonably likable characters, and a noticeably darker tone, which I really enjoy.

For you who want to know the best: This one, the Aloha one, the pirates ahoy one, camp scare, the mummy one, the vampire one, stage fright, and the wwe speed one are just truly AMAZING! Haven't watched cyber chase, the withce's ghost, alien invaders, or the reluctant werewolf yet, and about 8 more so can't say anything. but the rest are pretty good. My least favorites would be the lochness monster and the circus one and they are even worth watching! Hoping there will be more scarier ones honestly! if they can just throw in 1 Scarier one then ill be so happy!

This movie is just plan and simply the best I mean the animation is amazing the story and voice acting is amazing and the monsters are real what more could you ask for this film is a big reason why I love scooby doo so much each and every time I see it I somehow appreciate it more and more it's one of my favorite movies of all time you can actually feel the love and care that was given to every aspect of this film and for a direct to VHS (saying that makes me feel old ask your parents about VHS kids) it's simply phenomenal.

I really liked this one. It had a great story, great music, great characters. My only flaw was the voice actor for Scooby and Shaggy. It was really annoying to me. Other than that, my favorite part of this movie was the song Terror Time. It's still one of my favorite songs to this day! I also love the Were-Cat aspect of this movie. With all the cats around, it just made sense. Overall, great movie.

2 Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase

Every time that my parents and I went to rent movies, I would always rent either Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase, or Aloha, Scooby-Doo, because I loved them, but if I had to recommend one, it would be this. If you like these movies, you should also be interested in What's New Scooby-Doo (The television adaptation of the movies).

I love this movie. It was unique because they gang met up with their virtual counterparts and there were awesome villans. Zombie Island is a close second in my opinion

This was and still is my favourite scooby doo movie because I love how in the movie they show all the levels they are going up against.

This is my favorite, but I don't like when they meet themselves. And I think it would have been cool to see more of their monster foes.

3 Scooby-Doo! And the Alien Invaders

Alien Invaders may not reach the same heights as Witch’s Ghost or Zombie Island, but it’s still an entertaining mystery with a very charming romantic subplot.

I honestly wish that Crystal could have instead become a main character. The chemistry between her and Shaggy was one of the most touching and heartwarming. They honestly went hand in hand, and it wasn't over the top as with later movies.

Shaggy and Scooby falling in love
Enough said
It still brings a smile to my face

One of the best Scooby Doo movies ever!

4 Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost

This is my personal favorite Scooby-Doo movie of all time. It has beautiful animation, memorable songs, a great vocal performance from Tim Curry, and creepier moments than most other versions of Scooby-Doo (much like Zombie Island).

What's not to like, with a rocking soundtrack by the Hex Girls (Thorn was voiced by Jennifer Hale! ) and spooky witches? Combined with a beautiful New England backdrop, this is definitely the best Scooby Doo movie in our collection.

This should be #2 for sure. Zombie Island is the clear winner here and Alien Invaders and Cyber Chase follow as #'s 3 and 4 (respectively). After that I care very little for any of the other films. The original 4 can't be beat!

This movie is really very cool. The idea is new and dashing. And I liked this movie because there are some funny scenes and I like humour. In the case of mysteries and suspense its always their.

5 Scooby-Doo and the Loch Ness Monster

This film is iconic, the setting is fantastic, and while a little stereotypical, hilarious. The chase scenes are brilliant with great music and while the accents are a little shaky I love the animation style used for the Loch Ness monster. The plot is entertaining and overall it ties up nicely, and yet leaves a sense of mystery at the end of it.

One of the Best. The monster is really scary in this one unlike a lot of Scooby Doo movies where the monster is just stupid and looks fake.

It's one of my favorites but I really think Scooby-Doo Where's my Mummy should be on this list.

Duuude. This one was my favorite! The chase scene in the castle is maybe my favorite ever scene from Scooby-Doo.

6 Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School

I'd say this one is right up there with the first 4 movies. Maybe even better than them (except for Zombie Island which will always be the Best). All the new characters in this one were really likable and refreshing. I especially love that little dragon, Matches.

Grew up watching this every night. Was definitely up there with Zombie Island, Alien Invasion, despite being a much older film. It is a little over the top in parts, but mostly it just helps add to the story.

I've always loved this movie. It's one of those movies that do to many things well for kids to be able to pinpoint what it is we liked so much

I'm happy they actually have some of the older movies with just shaggy and scooby

7 Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare

This one is more for teens and adults. I love this one because the plot is great, the animation is incredible as well as the audio, and it is actually quite suspenseful and scary! Unlike the other movies this one has more relation and drama between the characters. It also tends to show a little skin during some of lake scenes. One of the villains is an axe wielding maniac who's really creepy and he scared my little nephew so parents do be careful. However this a great movie to curl up on the couch to! On my list I put this one up with "Zombie Island" and "Alien Invaders"! This is one great funny and scary movie!

One of the Best Scooby Doo Movie I have ever seen. It has everything its funny and scary and there are many surprising elements. Should be in Top 5. In my opinion it should be in the top 3.

When the phantom in the canyon screamed my little brother hid behind the couch. This is definitely one of the scariest and funniest scooby doo movies ever

One of the more mature Scooby-doo movies since Zombie Island. Great animation and a pretty interesting mystery to solve

8 Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers

Most memorable installment in the Scooby franchise by far! Not only does it whirl a barrage of different ghouls and villains (A determined civil war phantom, to an eerie skeleton, can't forget the runaway circus gorilla, and of course the violent and mischievous hill billy neighbors, just to name a few) but it also supplies additional zest with the add on of the courageous Scrappy Doo! I can clearly talk about this movie for quite some time, I mean I can't resist, I grew up watching it, fearing it, and all the same praising it. The dark, full moon setting in the woods to the classic "Boo Brothers" theme song played in the beginning, this is one of the most eclectic, humorous, and overall great Scooby tale for kids and teenagers like me, who wish to indulge in a great childhood mystery. Oh, and best of all, the ingenious entity of the ghost hunting Boo Brothers (that insinuate similarities to that of the legendary Three Stooges) lands this adventure as one of the greatest of all time. ...more

By far the best of the best! Still loves how this movie always seem to give me a smile on my face after all these years!

Love this and the cues shaggy, scooby, and scrappy are using to find gold makes it more fun to watch

I thought this scooby doo movie was amazing with the boo brothers helping them out

9 Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf

This is one of my favorite Scooby Doo movies! It's a classic after all. Some of my other favorites are Scooby Doo and Ghoul School, Scooby Doo and the Goblin King, Scooby Doo and the Samurai Sword, and Scooby Doo and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery. Although... if I'm being honest there is really only to categories for Scooby Doo movies my favorites, and ones that I think are just okay.

Sure, this movie's campy, but it's so much fun you can't help but enjoy it.

Also, Warner Bros. needs to realize that the period of time between Zombie Island and the Cyber Chase were their best Scooby movies and try to capture THAT magic again. I wanted to vote for them, but their pretty much where they need to be.

80s Scooby doo with classic monsters like Dracula Wolf man Mummy etc. and also the last appearance of scrappy I think not many people have not seen this and maybe that's why its low but it's pretty good and better than ghoul school

The Best Scooby-Doo Movie every! It may not have Fred, Daphne, or Velma, but it has all of your favorite gruesome ghouls, such as a mummy, Frankenstein's monster, witch, etc.

10 Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire

I liked this movie a lot, but it's not at first place in my list

Great take on the classic scooby doo where are you

I love this wish the vampire had legs though

Loved this movie as soon as it started!

The Contenders
11 Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy!

If you love classic Scooby, where all the scary guys have masks that come off in the end you will love this Scooby. Fred's parents treat the kids to a mystery cruise into the Bermuda triangle. Needless to say mysteries ensue, the kids design some traps and "those meddling kids" unmask the bad guys in the end.

The nice thing about this movie over the classic cartoons is that it is more watchable for adults since there is no laugh track and the animation is top notch.

This is comparable to Aloha, Scooby Doo, if your kid's liked the tiki's they will love the pirates.

This is my absolute favorite Scooby Doo movie! The music is so incredibly catchy and it's super funny! This movie was my childhood!

Scooby doo pirates ahoy was just completely stunning when it came out and deserves at least top five

The best scooby doo movie for sure

12 Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo

This movie is and always will be my favourite of all the Scooby-Doo movies! (Yes, I do think it's better than Zombie Island)

I found it scary, funny and downright entertaining the whole time!

1 scene (wont say which) scared the crap outta me when I was a kid, but I still loved it so much!

This movie is pretty much the whole reason I love stage magic so much!

I also love mythical creatures, and the main crux of this movie is A GRYPHON!

Childhood favorite. Will forever be in my heart

So scary I won't watch to this day

13 Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood

A very different type of Scooby Moovie (see what I did there? ), but a goodie none the less.

Amazing Hollywood is my dream want to be stars like scooby doo want to be stars and favorite. Place

14 Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King

Both me and my brother love this movie a lot! That Halloween atmosphere, those monster designs, all of it is really entertaining! Also, I really liked the villain: The Amazing Krudsky (voiced by Wayne Knight by the way), he's the type of villain who may pose a danger to the heroes, but he's not as much evil as much as hilarious.

I never get tired of watching this. The characters are good and the actors are 5 star! Listen for Lauren Bacall, Tim Curry, and Jay Leno. Amazing

Its fun and exciting! This one is my second favorite, it includes all types of spooky characters.

These are one of the more modern movies in the series that you can actually put up with

15 Aloha Scooby-Doo!

When I was young I loved it to bits!

My absolute favorite till this day

Its on boomerang a lot, I like it

16 Scooby-Doo in Where's My Mummy?

This has the most complex and great storyline of all the Scooby doo movies and should definitely be in the top 10!

This should've been in the top 5, one of the best ones in the series.

This one was amazing it should at least be in the top 10

In my opinion the best SD movie I've watched. At least from what I remember.

17 Scooby-Doo!: Legend of the Phantosaur

Yup, watched this when I was like 6 or 7. One of the best post 2008 Scooby Doo movies

Arguably one of the best modern scooby doo movies.

Its an awesome movi is only behind the zombie island one which is the best

Great movie. Awesome seeing a new side of shaggy

18 Scooby-Doo and the Samurai Sword

This one is simply for the fight scenes. This is a scooby doo movie, and the choreography is on par with kung fu panda or something, and the animation is great, with the blur effects and the way the camera shakes if there's an impact, you feel the weight of every blow.

Ill miss the What's new Scooby doo style in the other films.

19 Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico

Watched this one in Spanish Class for a reward. Fantastic movie, bright colours, and a fun Mexican setting, serving as a great backdrop for the scary el Chupacabra Monster.

It was okay but Scooby-Doo and Shaggy never truly interacted with the monster, which really sucked so it is not a good movie.

Instant classic with Scooby doo fans and me

The voice acting is so bad in this haha

20 Scooby-Doo Meets the Harlem Globetrotters

Always loved the Globetrotters episodes. I always thought they were the best and funny, I would always rent it when my parents took me to the rental store when I was little

My Favorite Scooby Movie of all time. I completely burned out the VHS from watching it too much.

21 Big Top Scooby-Doo!

This film may not be in the best of the best Scooby Doo animated films, but it's still worth watching.

Amazing movie with a twist at the end.

22 Chill Out, Scooby-Doo!

This is one of the best! Why is it not high on the list?!

It's the worst movie in the world and space!

The plot of this movie sucks butt.

23 Scooby Doo! Music of the Vampire

Scooby Doo! Music of the Vampire is just very interesting. I love musicals so ya that's kind of why I liked it.

I just love that the gang are done with mysteries and they just want this one to be over with

Very fun, I have watched 100 times and know all the words. Just love it

24 Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon

The monster is amazing and blue falcon is so cool!

25 Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights

Loved the food scenes!
