Best Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (Album) Songs

The Top Ten
1 A Day in the Life

A very good song, calming to listen to and musically genius, but the one thing that always annoys me is those crazy transitions between Paul and John’s parts where it had random strings notes and broken glass and all that, yes I get it’s satisfying once that transition is over but it is definitely not pleasant at least in my opinion. Yes otherwise the song is wonderful, but it is not the kind of song to play in a car with them transitions that sound like revolution 9 lol. They have to make a radio edit for this song, if they don’t already have one

Brilliant song. So ahead of there times they started it all! No boundries not just rock n roll not just pop not just folk not just stoned music they mixed it all and that's why they are the best

The Beatles best song. The whole album just builds to this point- the climax. Without this song, this album would not be as high as it's ranked.

2 Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

Unbelievably creative!

3 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/ With A Little Help From My Friends

Actually "Sgt. Peppers..." and "With A Little Help..." are two different ones. So I put this one on the list. It is an amazing song. Please help it to get to the Top of this list

A Day In The Life is definitely the best song on the album in terms of musicality, but these two songs just blend so well together it’s amazing!

I'm assuming this is SPLHCB because "With a Little Help..." is already on the list
Best Beatles album opener!

4 She's Leaving Home

Just a great song.

This song is sad! :-(

5 With a Little Help from My Friends

Another good ringo starr song

Best Ringo song ever

Already on the list

6 Getting Better
7 When I'm Sixty-Four

This song puts to music the beauty of the life-long commitment of a man and a woman in marriage.

Love the melody of this song

8 Lovely Rita

This song is so underrated it's not even real

Criminally underrated, for sure.

Underrated! Very catchy

9 Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite

This is yet another Beatles song that has went under the radar since the 60's. I love the effects, it has a pretty cool story behind how John came to write the song, and the music itself is great.

Reminds me of a circus.

10 Within You Without You

This is probably the most underrated songs on Sgt. Peppers! It's another one of George's Indian songs, that's personally one of my favorites, and it's so peaceful and has quite the meaning!

This song introduced me to Hindustani music which changed my entire approach to music! George Harrison only scratches the surface of the worlds oldest classical music tradition. Listen to Zakir Hussain and Ravi Shankar.

Hounetly this is the song that really drags on too much. In this masterpeice of an album, this song really is the only time I'm bored when listening to it.

The Contenders
11 Fixing a Hole
12 Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)

This one is just amazing! Should be higher on the list!

I love this song! It should be higher on this list!

Better than the opening version!

13 Good Morning Good Morning

This isn't my favorite song on Sgt. Pepper (that would be A Day In The Life), but it definitely deserves to be higher on the list. This is definitely better than Within You Without You, When I'm 64, and Lovely Rita. At least that's what I think. Not that those 3 songs are bad. All of the songs on Pepper are amazing. I just think this one shouldn't be ranked so low.

Here's a reason why they hate this song. John Lennon, the person who wrote the song, later called it garbage.

This is one of the best on Pepper. I don't understand why people hate it so much.

14 Penny Lane

It's not on the album. Top 3 if it was!

Not from Sgt Pepper's.

15 Strawberry Fields Forever

Great song, but it's not on Pepper

16 The Inner Groove
