Best Songs From Nirvana's Neverminddragon13304 Nevermind is the second studio album by the American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991. Produced by Butch Vig, Nevermind was the group's first release on DGC Records. Frontman Kurt Cobain sought to make music outside the restrictive confines of the Seattle grunge scene, drawing influence from groups such as the Pixies and their use of song volume dynamics.
Despite low commercial expectations by the band and its record label, Nevermind became a surprise success in late 1991, largely due to the popularity of its first single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit". By January 1992, it had replaced Michael Jackson's album Dangerous at number one on the Billboard charts. The Recording Industry Association of America has certified the album Diamond (over 10 million copies shipped), and the album has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Nevermind was responsible for bringing alternative rock to a large mainstream audience, and critics subsequently regard it as one of the best rock albums of all time.
The Top Ten
Eh don't get Me wrong This is a great song but kinda overplayed a tad and keep in mind I own everything related to nirvana so don't think I'm bashing them
This is a pretty unnecessary list. I mean nobody even really acknowledges it's existence.
Best song ever. Just number 1,
One of the most influential songs of the 90s. Also has a great riff!
Real hard to rank. But lithium from me
Teen spirit is overrated. This is the best song on the album along with endless nameless
The distortion in the chorus drives me crazy
Ah, what a song... I'M A WEIRDO SO THIS SONG IS PERFECTO 4 ME
This song is not only the best from the album, but their best song in general. It's more dark and less cheesy than Smells Like Teen Spirit. - IronSabbathPriest
1. Come as You Are

10. Something in the Way
11. Drain You
12. On a Plain
13. Endless, Nameless
Much better than Smells like teen spirit. - Userguy44
First it deserves to be first, second Smells Like Teen Spirit deserves to be less overrated, because it's a beautiful song, but not the best one!
I love this song. It definitely is my favorite out of Nirvana. Along with all apologies and come as you are.V 1 Comment
Has a lot of raw emotion and a great riff. Sort of like a less edgy Smells Like Teen Spirit, and in my opinion the best song on Nevermind.
This song is amazing
I think in tero and bleach are better than nevermind but still good
Drain You > Smells Like Teen Spirit
Teen spirit is crap next to this oneV 1 Comment
Haunting yet beautiful puts me in a trance every time I hear it.
Beauty is hard to find sometimes. But we can definitely find it in this song...
RIP Kurt Cobain
Honestly the best song of the album, if not the best song from their entire discography. It sounds very dark and haunting and it describes Kurt perfectly. My absolute favourite.
This song contains the best solo in the world also this was my first nirvana song
This song has the best solo in history it's so cool also this was my first nirvana song surprisingly not slts.
Arguably The Most Underrated Nirvana Song Breed Has The Best Chorus And Best Live Presence - FettiMCV 1 Comment
A punk song by a grunge band? - Userguy44
Territorial Pissings is so upbeat and Dave Grohl's drumming is dynamic. Nevermind is one of the only albums where every song was worth buying the album. I agree with this list except Something In The Way I think is too high, and On A Plain and Territorial Pissings are too low. There isn't a single "bad" song on the album though!
This and Stay Away define kurt's vocals at their best
This song is the musical equivalent of speed and adrenaline mixed togetherV 1 Comment
Honestly, I think In Utero is a way better album, but Polly here made me think that is belonged in In Utero due to the lyrics in the song being very clever.
It's clever, has a great riff, and is really good in general. It should have been the song that everyone obsessed about instead of its more "catchy" opponents.
That bassline is amazing. No words for it. - Userguy44
I love this song
Their best bassline. Krist killed it here. - Userguy44
Great bass, great guitar, great melody, great drums, easily best song on my favorite album of all time, an underrated masterpieceV 3 Comments
I'll start this off without any words
So catchy its absurd
Stay away is the rawest song on the album. You can feel the frustration and emotion, something you can't do with any other song, besides breed. Stay away and on a plain are the two best songs on nevermind
What this song is so good. Should be 5 after smells like teen spirit, something in the way, in bloom, come as you are
This should be in the top 5.
I mean come on, its awesome! - Ajkloth
All right listen to this you Smells Like Dumb Spirit voters. Stay Away does not deserve to #12, next to that freak of a song Endless, Nameless. No offense if you like EN though. It's just unfair that this is #12 thanks fr read rawr //
One of the worst songs ever! - Userguy44
Whatever, I like it
Ok You Clearly don't know ANYTHING about Death Metal death metal is morbid angel nirvana is grunge the only reason this song give a slight metal vibe is because of kurts genuine Frustration trying to make lithium
It sounds like death metal... and I HATE DEATH MATEL
